Hey guys! two more things: On thursday (17.12.20) I am going to make a live workout here on RUclips about footwork and racketskills, so it would be awesome if you join me and workout with me LIVE =). The time is not fixed yet, but as soon as I know the exact time, I will tell you guys in the community tab and also on my Instagram channel. There in my story you also find the new weekly workout plan for this week! =) Stay safe and active! Tobi
Handsome !! I love your work. All your videos are very well explained. I made progress since I applied your tips and workout, thank you so much !!! Hope I will be free on thursday for your live :D
My racquet skill is so good. I use my racquet to do everything, including open doors, pick up phone, having shower, cooking, cleaning... you name it, I racquet it!
Hi Tobias, Thanks for all your videos. I teach children this sport and appreciate your at home practice ideas very much. No one can learn the sport on a single day per week so its nice to have homework. Its also nice to have the advanced skills so we have goals and a foundation for deceptions.
Bonjour, j'ai une rupture tendon d'Achille depuis 1 mois,. Je fais tout les jours ta video. Merci. Aurais tu d'autres exercices de maniabilité raquette pour que je puisse travailler pendant les 6 prochains mois . Merci beaucoup. . tes vidéos sont de grandes qualités
This is great, I really like the game scenario examples for the racquet changes 😊. My partner just came in to ask what all the crashing about was - er, that will be me having no control of the shuttle whatsoever 😂
Hi sir ,hope you are doing well.I always go through your video, and very happy with your explanation and demonstation .I also taking classes for the beginners.Your classes are really helping me very much
At the moment I publish a new video every week. Here you can find a Playlist, with all sessions on my channel: ruclips.net/p/PLrQI_kbNeQQnA9J2BESJvHaRVX-fQzl3Z
I always tell my players to learn the first drill. They always think it's pointless... but it helps so much with touch, especially for net drops. If you can caress the shuttle and catch it on your racket, you can caress the shuttle and drop it over the net.
Hi Tobias, I am from Bharat (India), and i found your video most effective and useful among the many more available on youtube. All the best, and keep going. Good work.
Thanks a lot, Tobias for making all these videos, it's really helpful. I have a doubt, many people when they do the forehand clear or smash, they tend to twist the angle of the racquet a bit which leads to slicing the shuttle (which means low power and the shuttle travels in the wrong direction) So are there any exercises to help keep the proper angle of the racquet for the forehand clear and smash bcz most of the times, this is frustrating when you can't get proper power into the clear (bcz of the wrong angle of the racquet). Do keep uploading videos. Thanks in advance.
@@tobiaswadenka8435 When the racquet hits the shuttle, it should be straight (for a forehand clear), if the racquet tilts slightly, then it will lead to slicing the shuttle. So are there any drills to keep the racquet head straight when coming in contact with the shuttle? Yes, I follow all the tips such as keeping a loose grip before the impact and not having a loose wrist, I just have to keep the racquet head straight on impact, so pls if you know any drills or anything that will help me, do let me know. Thanks.
Hey Tobias, thanks for your videos, I think they are absolutely great!!:) One question for you: during the last exercise with the backhand power shot, does the outside of your palm at the bottom also rub a lot against the grip when hitting fast and repeatedly?
Hey Maxime! Thanks four your comment! It is not rubbing too much, maybe you can try to relax the fingers a little bit more in between the shots. That is also the hardest part when you do it with full speed but maybe that can solve the problem
Hi.. Tobias..The shots the young boys playing in adjacent court have a different sound.. Kinda metallic and attractive.... But mine is quite dull and hollow.... Has it got to do with the timing and sweet spot.. If so any tips to time the shuttle to hit the sweet spot all the time
The sound has a lot to do with the string tension. Higher tension gives you a higher and clearer sound if you hit with the sweet spot. But keep in mind that the sweet spot gets smaller with higher tension, so it can also cause more misshits and uncontrolled shots
Hello how are you. Hope you doing well. Sir you are a good teacher. I wanted your videos and did practice. Do one thing sir in your video english subtitles on screen I am unable to see proper hand because of subtitles on screen please do to remove subtitles or search any other way... It will be great for me Thanks coach...
Hey Tobias, thanks for the trainings ! I have a problem which is probably common to several people here, especially if they come from tennis : I always slice my smashes a little, which causes a loss of power and a loss of precision. Any advice to correct this ?
Hard to say without seeing it. Do you slice it on the right oder left side? Probably on the right o guess (if you are right handed) maybe you turn your upper body and shoulders too much or your forearm and upperarm ar not rotating enough
A simple idea: when you do strength training and when you use one sided exercises always start with the left side and try to always use the same weights/intervals for both sides. That should help already to work against imbalances
Hi,can you pls suggest a best racket for 9 yr old girl to start her journey, she knows the footworks and started to play badminton, but we don't know the best racket. Thanks in advance
Just go for a very light and flexible racket when you want to buy a racket for a small kid. There are plenty of options from all kinds of brands and you don't have to spend a fortune on such a racket
Nice video, but what really surprised me was that you reminded me a lot of someone until I read your name and YOU EVEN HAVE THE SAME NAME LIKE WHAT A CRAZY COINCIDENCE HAHAHAH
Maybe you developed a bad habit of turning the grip during the shot. Another reason could also be that your grip is too thin or too thick. Both extremes can make it hard to control the grip when you hit hard shots
Its not necessary that a good soccer player can do good tricks with the ball. Of course he can learn quick but its not the other way round, if we only practice tricks then it doesn't make us good at the game. Its simple hand eye coordination. It doesn't give you game sense. P.s: I'm not dissing the video, just making clear to those who might think that these drills will automatically improve their game.
Thank you for your comment, i think it is good if people are critical and you are making a good point here. Only practicing tricks like that will not make you a top player but in my experience it can help to get a better feeling for the grip, stay loose and relaxed before the shot and as you said it can give a better eye hand coordination. Things that can help us to adjust to different situations on court and play better quality shots
Never get demotivated tobias... you are one of very few people that actually Tell beneficial tricks...👍

Sir please make a video on singles backhand flick serve as i used to do but opponent receives the shuttle from the mid court and kill it
Give the flick more height so that opponent can't take from midcourt.
Aim the shuttle when holding more upwards see if that works
