Falling asleep during the second half of Pt. 1 of your video and now trying to find the place where I have to pick up again made me realize that while randomly clicking into RE game footage there is an apparent 90% chance of ending up seeing a door animation.

Doubtful. It unfortunately seems to be a bit forgotten by many. Seeing how hard it was to get RE2 remade, and now everyone is talking about RE3 and 4 remakes, I doubt they will even give RECV a second thought.

@@AB-80X but 4 doesn't need it yet, at least in my opinion. It has aged pretty well and the graphics aren't insane but they're okay. After the success of the RE 2 remake there's no doubt we're going to see an RE R3make we can only hope and wait now.
4 definitely doesnt need a remake. They need to do the games in the order they were released tbh. 2005 was a while ago but not THAT long ago.
i'd like to see it remade with fixed cameras like the re1 remake. when you see the jump in background graphics from the original re to the gamecube remake, i'd love to see a fixed camera re on modern consoles. i love re4 but didnt care much for the re2 remake, even though everyone else seems to think it's the best re ever.

Somehow, RUclips fucked up the bitrate on the 720p encode. Turn the video quality to 480p. It will fix the issue. The game is actually 480p anyway.

After loading a 14 year old Code Veronica save and becoming hopelessly lost, I'm watching this instead. Happy Dreamcast Day! It's the 19th anniversary of the 9/9/99 launch and I'm spending all day playing dreamcast games (and watching this).

I always thought the save room music in CV had the most depressing feel to it, compared to the other RE games.
Krash 99 Resident Evil 0’s save room theme is also depressing.
I know this video is a few years old, so you probably will never read this, but thank you for doing commentary on this walkthrough and explaining things as you’re doing them, instead of just speedrunning the game and leaving the viewer trying to figure what items you’re taking and which ones you’re leaving behind, like some other “walkthroughs” that don’t actually walk you through anything. There’s a reason I’m going to use this guide when I go for my A-Rank. So again, thanks.

This game is such a masterpiece. I have both the original dreamcast and PS2 ver . When the DC one came out, i was glued to my screen. Tyrant wrecked me so hard the first time I played, so seeing you destroy him with grenade rounds and BOW gas is amazing.
i got soft locked on the tyrant plane boss because i had no ammo to kill him. so thats where my ps2 playthrough ended all those years ago.
You know the guy is rich when he not only has a submarine in his pool but a whole secret research lab too.

@Zulfikar Rangkuti for the first fight use the T100P you only need 50% of the magazine to beat the Tyrant and probably a few extra handgun bullets, in the second fight use the grenade launcher with Fire rounds and explosive crossbows with around 15 shots you can activate the catapult and defeat the Tyrant you will have more than enough handgun bullets when you finish disc one if you the 50% T100P instead while you are playing in the island as Claire.
Carci this run was so good, some of your tips helped me in my playthrough of CV its amazing how smooth you are even i couldn't help getting bit here and there lmao.

The voice team for Code Veronica, seems to be the same one that f*cked up RE3 Remake. Only that they decided to make the whole game by themselves.
I remember being blown away by this game when I first watched it being played at a Babbage's game store. Juat the fact that the camera moved and followed you a bit was shocking lol. Ah... Simpler times back then. Dreamcast was an awesome console.

Well in Revelations 2, she ONLY says that in the English dub. The original Japanese version is just "guns are reliable". Not sure if it's the case here as well though but considering Raccoon City and her pretty much alone for most of it, her guns were definitely the most reliable thing at the time.
@@revenge3265 They seem to be sticking with the cold Claire persona, though. The latest RE movie, "Welcome to Raccoon City" sees Claire abandon a child trapped by a zombie. Claire....abandoning a child. I was 100% certain she was going to get off her motorcycle and go back into the house to save the kid, but they just had her drive off. smh That's not Claire. RE2, Degeneration... Even the Jovovich movies. Claire doesn't abandon people. Especially not kids.
The canon reason why Steve knows a how to fly a plane is because he grew up close to an air field where his uncle worked as a mechanic and his uncle taught him about them and how to fly them

I beat this game a few times but I really didn't appreciate it for the great game it is until recently. I was so into the classic re1-re3 fixed camera and style of gameplay that this felt too different. I look forward to knowing this game's ins and outs like I know the older games in the series. Thanks for the awesome commentary! There's so much I didn't know!
I recently completed Code Veronica on PS4, the one game from the old ones I didn't play, and I thought it was great. Really old, classic RE. But it's funny how implausible the story is, I can't imagine how they would remake it. The last part is funny: it's an artic military station, part laboratory, part fancy mansion.

my favorite resident evil is RE3 then CVX & 2 are a tie for me.. im 32yrs old been playing since re1 came out way back and have em all and still play them. i know alot about RE and im very good at these but i got nothing on you. keep up the good work you got my sub.
Oh wow, our stories are similar! I started with RE2 tho when I was 10.. I think 2 is my favorite, I haven’t even played the original (I had directors cut) since the REmake came out for it, I really like REmake. I do really like code Veronica, as a matter of fact my young self saved and saved allowance to literally buy a Dreamcast just for this game lol I’d say may list would be 2, REmake, then 3 and CVX are a tie for me.

Resident Evil CV was one of my favourites, nice to see it played here again and played properly. Kudos for using the DC version too, never got to see the original because I played on PS2.

I thought the lighting effects were amazing when this game originally released. Now that Capcom is remaking RE games, I hope they remake this one with support for ray tracing.
Carci, do you think this game was a step backwards in terms of gameplay compared to RE3? I mean, Claire feels a bit more robotic if we compare her to Jill in RE3: Claire can't dodge enemies, and can't go through small stairs automatically like Jill among other things.
Between the Zubat sound in RE0 and the baby crying in this one, I'd say the guy behind this channel has a great sense of humor.
