I knew Dogpack404 was making a part II but I thought it would be focused on the charity stuff, or more about how he fakes his video. Was genuinely very shocked and disgusted by what the interview revealed. I think RUclips need to do something about his channel but it seems too big to sanction??? I wonder what is happening behind the scenes. They have promoted Mr Beast for years.
I legitimately think that he has SO MUCH money and so many connections that unless someone dies, this will get forgotten in a few weeks and we return to Jimmy's status quo. People are STILL talking about this like it's low level personal youtuber drama and like the people coming forward are doing this for clout
Performative charity is a plague on RUclips for several years now. But it's been ramped up on tenfold when Jimmy went into it. Always ask yourself or, ideally, the person themselves whether they do charitable work when the canera isn't on or nah. The answer is 9 times out of a 10 no.
@@LoCoAde87 Just as perseverance porn was and still is for daytime news. The orphan managed to save his friends from the orphan grinding machine. No, don't ask why we have that machine.
He's been doing this for years now, this is nothing new. The fact people only care because of a tangential relation to what Ava Kris Tyson did is so thoroughly disappointing. People have been making excuses for his sadistic gladiatorial entertainment this whole time.
@@dawgwiddaglasses you'd hope, but no. Not really. I got thrown out of the chat on The Serfs because someone said their kids LOVE "jimmy" and I said it was a failure of parenting.
That's on the parents really. They should already be keeping up with what their kids are consuming but so many would rather just sit their kid in front of a phone or tablet rather than actually parent.
I'm seeing so many people on Twitter defend Mr Beast by saying that he could've "left" and that it was his own decision and even when faced with the allegations that people are being starved in Las Vegas and not being given access to medication they're literally saying "game shows are supposed to be difficult this generation is so soft" LIKE WHAT? One person literally tried defending the lights being on 24/7 because it doesn't sound like "torture" to them. Like yeah Chinese water torture isn't that deep either, just a continuous drop of water on your head but it's still classified as torture because of its effects on the human psyche 💀
@@samueldelacruz2659 Yeah exactly but people who defend him don't care about that kind of stuff. They are actually simple-minded in that if someone doesn't literally put a gun to your head and force you to do something, then it's not coercion
If there is a difference in power dynamics then you can’t blame the one that does not have power. That is why it’s universally unacceptable when a boss has a saxual relationship with an employee. And why it’s unethical to abuse the power you have over another being.
@samueldelacruz2659 You can go several decades back in time. In 1970 there was the movie das Millionenspiel in Germany. Basically Running Man looking like an actual 1970s game show that was happening in real time. I read that beside many people who were upset, some called the studio to apply either as candidate or hit man.
@@samueldelacruz2659 The other side is that Americans legit do not care about any possible cruelty you can imagine as long as the know the victim "chose" it.
And obviously has never dealt with a destructive boss. Who hasn't had a lying manipulative boss that thinks they own you? I had a few in my younger years.
Yeah, I agree completely. It would be very, very difficult for me to walk away when that much money is on the table. You've also got the sunk cost fallacy of how much time you already put in. Then you've got the cost of the set and production, the feeling of it all going to waste if you don't put on a good show. Plus you would be thinking that maybe if the video is a big hit, it will benefit your career working in the industry. Walking away would have been a very difficult decision to make. Jimmy definitely knew that, though. I wouldn't be surprised to learn he was using this kind of manipulation against people all the time.
So Mr Beast literally tortured a dude... Like... straight out of the Geneva Conventions... UN definition... Torture. And he filmed it. And... holy shit... just holy shit.
I wonder if this was set up to f him up. One one hand a lot of money (300k is a lot for.most people) and on the other, if the story is true, literal torture.
watch "survive 100 days trapped", he literally did the same thing, contestants had to cover their eyes to sleep. Luckily it seemingly didn't sleep deprive them, but the crazy thing is he literally offered them to dim the lights for losing some money... and that was after the challenge with Weddle
One of the biggest problems with our current financial system is how often it rewards sociopathic and psychopathic behaviors. The people at the top didn't get there by working the hardest. It's not meritocracy. It's the fact that they're willing to engage in anti-social behavior that many of us are not willing to do. Consequently, pro-social behavior is often punished by making you vulnerable to those employing anti-social behavior. Mr. Beast is not an isolated example of this. That's what we need to understand.
Add Jeff Bezo, Elon musk, Epstein and so on I saw a queer kiwi episode where she look at an interview of a tradwife who was married to a guy who is going to inherit JetBlue and you can tell the guy very abusive the tradwife look like she can’t say certain thing since he was I think the son of the ceo of JetBlue these people are evil
And what's worse is that the people who are victims of this system are conditioned into believing that it's their fault for all of the bad things said system does to them.
@@dingdawngThat we know of, hopefully he’s the exception. Though I’ve long since stopped looking for the good in people, less disappointment this way.
That part about Jimmy firing Jake and the older guy for asking for higher pay is literally illegal. I really hope Jimmy gets investigated for this Edit: christ I just got to the solitary confinement part. This guy is an actual menace

Props to you for informing your kids on this!! His child audience may not see or care about what people on the internet are saying about MB, but I hope there are more parents out there who will see his actions and then inform their kids about it and discourage them from engaging with MB content.
This shit is absurd and imma keep it real, this is frankly just a dehumanizing workplace environment. Mr. beast is cooked through his constant exploitation of lower class people.
You don’t think the dude is kind of weird and potentially sympathy farming? He seems very off and weird. Jimmy is a horrible person, I don’t care about him, but I don’t trust this guy either. He REALLY wants you to feel bad for him, that much I can tell.
@@Thatdudewiththedogs He is weird, but listen to the meat of what he's telling us. It's heartbreaking the events that occurred to him, no matter how we feel about his reactions to it. No one is a perfect victim. Disregarding his story because you don't personally like how he composes himself is the same logic they used against Amber Heard to paint her as the aggressor (something Kav has spoken about before as well). I think the real weirdo is the guy who interviewed the victim, since he made the video in a comical content cop way, which is distasteful and clearly for farming clout off of the MrBeast victim
He violated the Geneva convention TWICE for slop content in a single video. Sleep deprivation and solitary confinement. Jesus christ this poor guy but I probably would of been tempted too. I have a lot of student debt.
The fact that technically it isnt torture because the guy was “free to leave” shows how fucked up our legal system is. Zero accounting for psychological manipulation.
I always said his name is BEAST. As in, “mark of the beast”, aka the devil. I’m not religious so I don’t mean he’s literal satan, but it seemed like he was alluding to his own true nature with his self-selected moniker. People thought I was silly for saying that, but people tell on themselves sometimes and you’re better off believing them.
@Emiliapocalypse I think you speak truth. You aren't silly. The names we choose for ourselves reflect our true selves. And no, I don't think he's the literal devil either.
That interview hurt my soul. The really sad thing is that sort of manipulation, exploitation, and disregard for basic human rights in varying forms and degrees is a feature of poorly regulated capitalism. It's exactly why greed was recognized as a "deadly sin" millennia ago.
Even regulated, this system will always be greedy and shameless. We need to finally put away the childish and irrational fears of socialism and just make the jump. It does work, it has worked, and were it not for foreign pressures, most examples would have been fine. Sure there were some self made failures like China, Cambodia, and the USSR, but they don’t define socialism.
@@KathrynElizabeth-j7yYou’re right, but I guess I was covering my bases because even if they WERE, they wouldn’t define socialism. I also didn’t wanna fall into “no true Scotsman” but, you’re right, that would be stupid too.
@@ramenbomberdeluxe4958 Socialism usually just makes the state all powerful. Capitalism is fine when it's regulated properly and has better wealth redistribution policies. We definitely need a bit of both but going full socialist is a bad idea. You won't get rid of human greed and lust for power, it'll always shine through no matter what system we're in. Now one thing that is a problem is that we don't even have a socialist option. It's not a system I believe in but the people should at least have it as an option. I didn't like Jeremy Corbyn but at least he gave the socialists a genuine option to vote for.
I dated someone who went to federal prison in the US. Big charities that spend most of their money on fundraising and paying top executives, and governments that are similarly run by career psychopaths, are in lockstep with each other unfortunately. There’s an app called donor c that does a pretty good job of doing charity work. If you look into how the founder died, it’s just really suspect in my opinion, and also really sad. The thing is private charities, if done effectively, could really work wiping out absolute poverty. But powers that be don’t want that.
@@AR-rg2en That was the most heartbreaking part. He is literally trying to laugh it off like someone who is used to hiding pain behind laughter, it was definitely genuine and very deep pain.
That's not limited to Mr Beast. Recently, two big German youtubers got exposed for not being nice to the people around them (I'm simplifying here) and it was just the same. Why do they come out all at once, that's several attacking one, why didn't you talk privately, nothing is proven, why didn'tthey just quit, let's first listen to the other side (even after there was a statement of the big person so the statement of the smaller one literally was "the other side").
I didn't know. I'm a person who has experienced a lot of trauma in life. The way Jake started crying relaying that party of his story, those tears looked real to me. If that was a put on then Jake should consider a career in acting because he sure has me fooled.
@@ChristopherSadlowski Yeah I believe his tears were real, but MrBeast has way too many fans defending him like a cult leader, so they’ll make up any excuse to protect his reputation.
Rant Incoming! You’ve been warned! After watching the original video back, I’m dealing with an uncomfortable suspicion. It’s a wild one but I’m not sure where else to put it so please bear with me: It’s easy to assume that Jimmy was genuinely jealous of Jake. Imagine being Mr. Bleak and wanting desperately to win the “attention lotto” that Dogpack described in the previous video. Imagine being confronted by someone like Jake, overflowing with personality. A funny, empathetic guy that people openly liked without needing to be paid or manipulated. You’d be intimidated at the very least. That’s not the suspicion, of course, because it’s all but confirmed by Jake sharing that production cut down his scenes because Jimmy was threatened by him. The hideous little thought I’m having a hard time shaking is that what was done to Jake might have been a punishment for that. I wonder if, like so many things on his channel this was not an organic or altruistic idea. Choosing Jake to be the contestant (lab rat) for this horribly unethical idea, is a choice that feels uncomfortably tinged with bias. That’s at least one compelling reason to insist on trying to *really* trap him for the full 30 days and *actually* torture him while dangling a comparatively negligible amount of Jimmy’s personal fortune over his head when the whole stunt could have been very easily (and more successfully) faked. Mr. Beast is a practiced faker and a somewhat competent (yet disturbingly successful) liar so then what was the reason to suddenly insist on authenticity here? There was also no reason to enhance the environmental torture by refusing to turn out the lights or up the physical danger by making a sleep deprived untrained person run a marathon until their feet blistered. To be very clear here, that could have killed him. Jake is lucky to be alive. At best, it all looks like a devastatingly misguided attempt at groundbreaking content fueled by frigidly blind ambition. Worse, it looks like wanton cruelty with no real structure or reason that was supposed to magically become watchable the more gimmicks and challenges were thrown in. But even worse than that is the reason that scares me the most; that it was an exercise in personal spite masquerading as content production. That Mr. Beast simply wanted to purposefully hurt or break someone he was jealous of/didn’t like and no one could stop him. That he once again wanted the satisfaction of reminding people (including himself) that he had real power over someone because everyone needs money and he has been given far too much for anyone’s good.
Exactly, the "smart" thing to do is never mention it. So many youtubers have started their own downturns by giving an otherwise igorant audience the indication that something is going on.
I mean, I absolutely despise the guy. I'm a communist and Jimmy is, to me, the antithesis of everything that is right and decent. But I don't think he's running scared of Kav, I think it's just not tactically sound for him to acknowledge this stuff. He's the single biggest figure on the platform and Kav, uh, isn't. Why would he respond to a video made by someone who is, frankly, a small-timer?
And that's exactly why the likely hood of his "downfall" is very low. But at the very least, this entire event will be a good filter to who is still supportive of him or not, and i'm not talking about the children.

the whole "we're going to go to max security prison for funsies" has always enraged me. my husband was convicted on 6 felony counts & locked up for what totaled a half ounce of cannabis. he spent weeks in solitary in addition to all the other cruel & inhumane practices that come with being in prison. he'll spend the rest of his life as a convicted felon & we're still paying the fines the state imposed plus the literal bill for being imprisoned because yep, they bill you for that now like it's a g-d hotel. and to watch those guys act like they're actually being treated like prisoners & booo hoooo how hard it was to spend 2 freaking days w/the option to leave whenever they wanted.... the audacity.

The thought of Mr Beast becoming president is some dystopia level stuff. Imagine him putting impoverished citizens into a literal hunger games for content and using tax dollars to fund it- yikes!
I was in tears at how disturbing the inclusion of Delaware was. Mr. Beast's centrist supporters, however, have zero shame. Boogie2988 (fresh off admitting he faked having cancer) was making jokes about how he'd like to be in a Mr. Beast video, obviously intending that as a swipe against Jimmy's critics. Capitalism is a disease. Mr. Beast hiring HR is totally just to protect him from legal liability. HR here in America is there to hurt employees. They cover up abuse and claim they investigate it. They're there to determine just how much of a legal and financial liability you are to the company if you report illegal behavior like sexual harassment, racism, etc. It's totally a move to cover their own bottom line. Look up videos on how HR is not your friend to see employment attorneys talk about how HR massively screws over workers. I've gone through it myself for reporting sexual harassment. It was hell. HR isolated me, planted fear and suspicion about me to my coworkers, and sabotaged my job to get me to quit. It'd be interesting to see you interview an American employment attorney about this as well.
In the US, discussing salary with co-workers is federally protected, and firing someone for doing so is illegal retaliation, which both of them have the right to sue over. But capitalists have been so effective at convincing people that it's wrong to talk about money, that most people are not aware of that. My own employee handbook prohibits us from talking about salary with co-workers despite the fact that that's illegal under US law.
A marathon is 42.2 km, not 22.2 km. He misremembered the number. Even then 22km is a big distance to run without training, the couch to 10km program expects it to take you around 3 months(12 weeks is the typical version). No one without training is running 22km in one go without hurting themselves, that's just cruel. It might be a bit better I'd they just had him walk a marathon instead. I did that as a teenager on a bet. Walked 21km away and 21km back just to prove I could(and it took about 8 hours walking, first half took about 3 hours, but obviously I really slowed down on the walk back when it really got to me). I hurt for a few days afterwards, but was otherwise fine.

I don't blame RUclips for this. MrBeast is a scholar of how RUclips works and an amoral manipulator of people, probably the same with anyone else in the same space.
All the people defending MrBeast being like "It's not torture! This is nothing like Squid Games! Jake could've left at any time! He had a choice!" Well... so did the contestants in Squid Games. After seeing the bloodshed from the first game, the contestants held a vote to see if they would stay or not. The audience is given the impression that this is a no brainer, everyone is going to vote leave and go home, then people started to vote stay, so much to the point where it came down to one deciding vote. Whenever I was listening to Jakes story I kept thinking about that scene, because a lot of the contestants in Squid Games thought that going back home to poverty was a much worse fate than possible death. So in a sense they didn't really have a choice.
I felt so bad for this guy. 😢 Mr Beast literally TORTURED someone and didnt give a shit about the people he hurt. The specific torture he did was called white torture where you leave light's on 24/7. The US was condemmned for practices like this. all he cares about is money and his business. Genuinely disgusting.
The mainstream media needs to start covering this. Only way the parents of the kids who watch him potentially catch on to this and hurt his bottom line, Also, a marathon isnt 22km, its 26.2 Miles!!!

As a Black person, Jake Waddles story @11:00 hit me HARD. I'm usually one of two other Black people in majority white work environments. Microaggressions and workplace racism forces you to ALWAYS keep your guard up. It's been scientifically proven that there's a correlation between a decline in a Black person's physical health while experiencing racial microaggressions at work. You know as a Black employee, it's best to assume you probably won't be extended the same social curtsies your white co-workers will get. It's constantly being hyperaware of how your white co-workers perceive you. How can I pitch my voice so I don't come across as aggressive? Your perception and dignity will always questioned, while a white woman's tears are always protected. I can't be late to any meetings because, "you know those Black people, always showing up late!" It's wondering; was that comment about my new natural hair style an awkward compliment or a racial dig? It's having to keep a Work Journal and cataloguing, and being familiar with (expensive) Workplace discrimination lawyers any time something feels off, because when a racial incident DOES happen, HR will drag you (and your sanity) through the mud to protect the company. It wears you out, it beats you down. So you don't rock the boat. You will not get the "MLK-moment" where you stand up for yourself and your white co-workers suddenly empathize you and apologize for their mistakes. It almost always ends in resentment, retaliation, and covertly sabotaging/overloading said Black co-worker until they quit their job (if they don't outright fire them like did to Jake's co-worker). So when a white co-worker drops the watercooler bullshit and actually acknowledges: "Hey, what just happened to you felt racist. I'll support you if want to do something about it." That is SO FUCKING RARE. And the reason why it's so rare is because of scenarios like this. White people often forget the Racism is harmful to them too. Jake knew that his co-worker not getting equal pay was wrong and I bet my life savings that EVERY OTHER WHITE EMPLOYEE that knew about this KNOWS IT'S WRONG too. But when Jake stuck his neck out to do the right thing, he was punished. Mr. Beast's Co. made an example out of Jake as a message to all the other white employees: When you see discrimination, keep your mouth shut if you want to keep your job. And be grateful that the current status quo benefits you (for now) because we can take that away.
The worst part, is that from my POV, Jimmy wanted Jake to run an actual marathon, which is 26.2 miles or 42.2 km which is soooo dangerous and twice as much as Jake thought it was. I hate the fact that I still know people defending this man in real life
I give him two years before he becomes another Musk. Conservative, bigoted, raging at the world for his absolute lack of personal goodness and bewildered that people aren't worshipping the ground he walks on.
People don't understand torture. 1. There was a power imbalance. 2. He was in a toxic environment that could affect his decision-making. 3. Torture can result in a Fawn Response, which he describes quite well. Once you're fawning and delerious, how can you leave?
I think people have a misunderstanding of "consent", which could be incorporated into a much wider discussion, but put simply: If a request is backed up by either an implied or explicit threat/bribe, that's not consent, that's coercion. Coercion is an abuse of power. To provide examples: - "Do you consent to be searched by an officer?" is backed up with the implied threat of being brought to a police station if you decline. - "If you don't want to go to bed with me I'll hit you" is an explicit threat of physical violence to coerce someone. - "Engage in this activity and get $1000" is explicit coercion via bribery and like we see here, weaponising people's poverty to get what you want out of them.

Wow, that is so bad. Solitary confinement, with the lights on all the time, are techniques of psychological torture. Okay, so from what I understand is that his mother was a prison warden before, right? US prisons are know for a few things and one of them is exploiting prisoners via forced labor for almost zero compensation.
In Australia prisoners like to work to make the time go faster. And prison isn't supposed to be a holiday. They shouldn't be tortured but I think making them work isn't bad. They get a little extra money to buy snacks and stuff. I met a woman who saved all the money she earned in prison and had over $20K at end of her sentence.

The whole Logan/Coffee thing is orchestrated to a degree. Plus the fact that some people think that Coffee can do no wrong at all, is dangerously alarming to say the least. It's how people like this(and Jimmy, or any kind of popular person) manage to get enabled in the first place, and are able to rise to the top freely without scrutiny. Let me be clear, I'm not saying he is/isn't doing anything wrong, but all I'm saying is, that he is still capable of wrongdoing just like any of us are.
MrBeast has given me bad vibes ever since I heard of him. Thank you for consistently calling out this freak over the years. I'm glad everyone else is starting to see the truth.
@@aholafungiit was the plan from the beginning to build an image. Mr Beast even says himself he was convincing hollywood types to give him money for videos to give to poor people. Then suddenly he gets all this money from the publicity. If I gave away 50k it would be like giving away the majority of my salary compared to him which equates to less than 1% and he gets to make MORE money doing it. I really don't see how people can't see through this. Nobody is that dumb.
@@ryand285 The thing is, the communities he’s helping don’t care. They care that they now have water. Everyone has different priorities, and to impoverished communities that water is way more important than how cool you personally think Mr. Beast is. And then what? People are upset because Mr. Beast did what he said he was gonna do? He took the money he got from Hollywood types, and name for himself helping poor communities, and then used that to generate more money. Like what is there to “see through?” he never lied, he did exactly what he said he was going to do.
It is awesome.. But in reality he is basically just showing us the new dogpack404 vid with nothing new added but a few oppinions of his own. It is dogpack that is going Kendrick Lamar here.
Always rubbed me the wrong way what to me looks like exploitation of poverty for one’s own gain (monetary, brand, ego). I understand the guy has genuinely helped people at times, but that should not give him a free pass on this horrible actions. And Jake W comes across so genuine and sympathetic vs the sociopathic tendencies of TY’s golden child.
I don't watch MrBeast ever because I could tell he was gross and had too much money to boot, but I think the first whiff of psychopathic money grubbing stuff I got off him was a short called "MrBeast buys ludwig a private jet" you can just hear in his voice that he doesn't care about him, he is just forcing Ludwig to change his plans without caring at all what he wants to be doing because he needs him as a content cow. Pushing him, and actually telling him he'd already booked despite anything else. like he was more important than anything Ludwig would want to be doing. Dude's got red flags. If you were smart you could tell he tried to play the nice guy but the money got to him and you could see it in his eyes how dead and not caring he was.
That's the thing when money becomes no object to you. You start feeling hungry for more power/superiority instead, or end up becoming an absolute downright degenerate behind the scenes, or both.
His self-serving philanthropy attitude is well-documented and easy to point to. It’ll be interesting to see how things change Because that is literally a massive factor in the public discourse about mrbeast I thought a conclusion my mom said is good-that he’s “very much exploiting children”
When all the Ava stuff came out I dumbly defended the idea that MrBeast may not have known. Now I'm pretty sure he is getting bank rolled to do human experiments that are typically not legal in behavioral studies.
9:30 It's not as bad when you're a youtube millionaire and you know you'll be out in a few days. You know what's torture? If you have another 25 years to spend in there and after that, you get spat out back into society with not a penny to your name. If I were an inmate, I'd be disgusted by this guy mocking my misery. I'm not an inmate, but I am still disgusted with it.
I genuinely had to pause that video several times because the things that were done to Jake just disturbed me so much. Until now MrBeast (even with all the things being exposed about him) was still a 'concept' to me, if that makes sense. Like I didn't see him as being completely part of reality. But after dogpack's recent video that scumbag found his footing in reality for me and I am now more disgusted than ever before. That's why these videos are so important.
6:41 Mr. Beast lives up to the beast in his name by basically still being in that phase where if one parent says no, you go to the other parent or whoever the heck else to get a yes. You take the "yes" and when whoever told you "no" comes around, you're like, "But *insert* here told me yes!" and then they get mad at said party. That's something I'd expect a preteen or a little kid to do, not a however the hell old Mr. BEAST is.
The prison video and related tactics are especially interesting considering Jimmy's mom served in the army for 20+ years and worked as a prison warden in Manheim, Germany and Fort Leavenworth. (' Leavenworth is also home to the Military Corrections Complex, consisting of the United States Disciplinary Barracks - the Department of Defense's only maximum security prison - and the Midwest Joint Regional Correctional Facility. ~wiki). Also, a full marathon distance would be 26.2 miles or just over 42km.
The thing that bothers me is those who are trying to say “Well he agreed to it!” No one signs up for a RUclips video expecting to be tortured by a former employer!! Just because he agreed at first doesn’t mean he had any idea how terrible it would be!! He knows the team, his friends were on staff how the actual hell was he supposed to expect to be tortured for money? Like are you crazy? I’m just so confused as to why these people are trying to defend a billionaire they don’t know. Like this dude has nothing left to lose. If Mr.Beast and team were confident they did nothing wrong to that man they would’ve posted the video! But they didn’t I wonder why? This whole situation is so gross plus after hearing about the conditions on his Amazon partner program show I don’t doubt that Mr. Beast doesn’t care about ethical business practices!!!!
I never watched any of Mr. Beast’s stuff before, but now knowing that he did videos about a solitary confinement challenge, I’m not surprised to find out he’s a terrible person. A year or two ago, I watched an interview on a person who was basically tortured by being put in solitary confinement while he was in juvenile detention. One of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever listened to. I knew solitary was bad and inhumane, but that interview put into perspective just how cruel and monstrous it is to do that to a person. The thought of someone using that as the basis for making entertainment disgusts me and I really hope other people weren’t hurt trying to recreate this garbage
I’ve never had a good feeling about Mr beast, I’ve always disliked performative philanthropy that Mr beast has basically made his brand. It’s very reassuring to see others have the same thoughts now, and I just feel horrible for everyone affected by all of this
24:40 WTF - 10 days in solitary confinment????? For 66% of the video I thought it was 24h, and I was still utterly shocked! This cannot possibly be legal?! Surely, at some point you can no longer be considered to be in a condition to give consent to continuing? Especially when they knew he had sever sleep deprivation!
Everything has been said, but I’d like to emphasize that he couldn’t really leave. He’d been told that if he did this, he’d be cleared of his student loans, and just had to stay in a room for a month. Not a psychologist, but that feels manipulative in a way.
Man that whole deal needs to be put on real blast on cable news to soccer moms what their teenage sons are being exposed to during developmental years. Like you would think it'd get satanic panic numbers.

It’s insane! I don’t care if the person gives their «consent» to continue. Every part of this is design to mess the person up. They’re literally put in a condition where, after a few days, surely you can’t considered them able to give an informed consent to continue.
I knew Dogpack404 was making a part II but I thought it would be focused on the charity stuff, or more about how he fakes his video. Was genuinely very shocked and disgusted by what the interview revealed. I think RUclips need to do something about his channel but it seems too big to sanction??? Yeah, I agree completely. It would be very, very difficult for me to walk away when that much money is on the table. You've also got the sunk cost fallacy of how much time you already put in. Then you've got the cost of the set and production, the feeling of it all going to waste if you don't put on a good show. Walking away would have been a very difficult decision to make. Jimmy definitely knew that, though. I wouldn't be surprised to learn he was using this kind of manipulation against people all the time.

Rant Incoming! You’ve been warned!
After watching the original video back, I’m dealing with an uncomfortable suspicion. It’s a wild one but I’m not sure where else to put it so please bear with me:
It’s easy to assume that Jimmy was genuinely jealous of Jake.
Yep, this. Exactly what I’d been thinking….this was personal.
I felt this too. Jimmy has a fake smile, and I personally don't trust anyone I haven't seen crack a genuine smile
Alright, so now I'm gonna go back & rewatch that video as well & see if I see it too because I'm intrigued by this suspicion of yours; stand by....
This!! I felt the same exact way, I couldn’t help but feel like Mr. Beast’s choice to have Jake do it was deeply personal
He is too scared to post a response because he knows that his kids are gonna get curious and thus be the cause of his own downfall
Exactly, the "smart" thing to do is never mention it. So many youtubers have started their own downturns by giving an otherwise igorant audience the indication that something is going on.
Ahh! Good catch, I was wondering why he just didn’t sit down and addressed everything instead of spending money on trying to cover everything up.
MrBeast definitely has a Behelit.
Like I always say, you don’t reach the level of “success” people like Mr. Beast have reached, without being both rich… and an asshole.

It is remarkable how the mood around Mrbeast, on this channel, has shifted from "He's a bad guy, as are all capatalists" to "He actually violated human rights for a youtube video, what do you even say about that?"

the whole "we're going to go to max security prison for funsies" has always enraged me. my husband was convicted on 6 felony counts & locked up for what totaled a half ounce of cannabis. he spent weeks in solitary in addition to all the other cruel & inhumane practices that come with being in prison. he'll spend the rest of his life as a convicted felon & we're still paying the fines the state imposed plus the literal bill for being imprisoned because yep, they bill you for that now like it's a g-d hotel. and to watch those guys act like they're actually being treated like prisoners & booo hoooo how hard it was to spend 2 freaking days w/the option to leave whenever they wanted.... the audacity.
also I'm so tired of hearing the excuses like these guys are young, they maybe don't understand the gravity of what they're mocking...
like first, they really aren't that young. idk why people keep using that to defend Mr Beast. and second, I've advocated for prison abolition and worked to do whatever I could, no matter how big or small, to make the lives of inmates even a little more bearable since I was 15 years old. 15. a literal child. and before social media helped show how torturous our carceral system is so Jimmy has no excuse at all. he exploits the poor, the homeless, the prisoners, etc etc etc for fame. screw that guy and anyone who defends him

Well... so did the contestants in Squid Games.

Once again Kav, you have been vindicated! MrBeast is a psychopath full stop.
You sound exhausting to work with. You’re not a special little victim. Grow up.
The worst part, is that from my POV, Jimmy wanted Jake to run an actual marathon, which is 26.2 miles or 42.2 km which is soooo dangerous and twice as much as Jake thought it was. I hate the fact that I still know people defending this man in real life
Yea that’s insane. It would have taken him hours to run 42km and that’s if he’s running at full sprint

Mrbeast was always a fraud, Blessed Be.
Indeed. Blessed Be to you also.
I think people have a misunderstanding of "consent", which could be incorporated into a much wider discussion, but put simply:
If a request is backed up by either an implied or explicit threat/bribe, that's not consent, that's coercion. Coercion is an abuse of power.
To provide examples:
- "Do you consent to be searched by an officer?" is backed up with the implied threat of being brought to a police station if you decline.
- "If you don't want to go to bed with me I'll hit you" is an explicit threat of physical violence to coerce someone.
- "Engage in this activity and get $1000" is explicit coercion via bribery and like we see here, weaponising people's poverty to get what you want out of them.

Edit: to be clear, heartbreaking FOR JAKE AND THE OTHER EMPLOYEES BEING EXPLOITED! Not for POS Mr. Beast 😒😂
💯 it's obvious. He wears his shittiness openly and somehow people act like he doesn't. It's wild.
@@whitneymouse maybe I just expect worse of people but this is exactly what I expected from him.
@@KathrynElizabeth-j7y oh, I was expecting him to be shitty. Just not “breaking the Geneva Convention” shitty. That interview genuinely hurt my heart for Jake. I edited my comment cause I realize now it looked like I was saying I heartbroken about him. I meant the employees 💀 damn it 😂
Replace “student loans” with “health insurance” and every working American can tell this story
I could do the 30 days, no clocks, no outside, lights always on, but annoying sounds and smells and on camera the whole time? No. Sleep deprivation will absolutely mess you up.
It’s insane! I don’t care if the person gives their «consent» to continue. Every part of this is design to mess the person up. They’re literally put in a condition where, after a few days, surely you can’t considered them able to give an informed consent to continue.
The seeing shit is kinda cool but then u start being moody n wanting ta fight folks. It's no good
