Wow, this song was such a surprise! I really didn't think you would react to it anytime soon.
Anyway, yes, as much as I know it is about drug addiction. I love this song, but I really love every song from "Mutter" album. This one is special and different to me because you can clearly hear punk influence. Some of the band members were into punk, so I guess they wanted to make a Rammstein sounded punk song. And it sounds great. 😊🖤
The song is about drug use, specifically heroin and the last/golden shot. At first the usual music pours in, but then it hurts and he doesn't wake up anymore. But you can interpret something personal in many texts - that's the great thing about Rammstein.

I think it has been too long since I told you that I enjoy listening to this music with the both of you. Consider it said. I enjoy the way you share your beautiful personalities with the world.
It is about drug addiction. Music in this case is a part of his hallucinations. And the guy opens his eyes but did not wake up because he died. That’s why the song is called adios.
Too bad you didn't watch a live performance of the song. Flake playing the drum is a unique experience.
PS: For me, the song is about the Golden Shot.
According to Till, heroin is the only drug he hasn't used.

Of course, the song is about drugs. You can also see it in the video. There's really nothing more to guess. The melody and instruments mentioned are just a metaphor for the effect of drugs. "He opened his eyes. But he didn't wake up" must have been an overdose. I've never heard anyone die from listening to music.

i have to admit when I saw the title I was excited but then when I saw it was this lyric video I was really disappointed .. no offense to the person who made this but it's too busy....to distracting and i feel it takes away from the song...from the message...from Tills vocals and especially Richard's AMAZING guitar 🎸 solo it's absolute FIRE!!🔥
