- Evacuating the dead and injured from Ukraine's frontline has become one of the biggest challenges for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian drones patrol the skies above the battlefield ready to pick off anyone making their way through it.
Now even the armoured evacuation vehicles can't venture in for fear of being destroyed by anti-tank weapons.
As a result groups of soldiers are sent to carry the dead and injured out. They are often hit and become the dead or injured themselves.

That’s why the Ukrainians wanted to hold the Russians in that area as long as they could. It was a killing fueled for Russians and probably still is. The whole area is dialed in with Ukrainian artillery. A Russian ant could not cross that ground without being hit with artillery
They are specialists fighting against a crowd with a week or two of training. Losses amongst freshly mobilized Ukrainians are much higher

This looks to be a damn fine fine bit of kit. I can see it working at the front lines in a multi purpose role. I reminds me a bit of a machine we used to help destroy explosive devices . It was nicknamed the 'Wheelbarrow'. It was a bit slow, but it got the job done and it did save lives.
I have the deepest respect for these soldiers. Keep fighting for your freedom. May Russia burn for its deeds. I hope the injured man recovers quickly.

Russia had announced last September, a reward for the capture of the THeMIS robot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, used to evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield. It is of technical interest to the occupiers. The payout is 1 million rubles. 🙄
These are in service with NATO countries and Ukraine has 1, so the new ones that Ukraine is building will be most welcome.
