I’m 74 and still with my first love. She has always struggled with depression, which when we first got together was not even an acknowledged disorder. We had difficult times for sure, I guess the worst was about 5 years into our relationship. A few years after we had kids we had some more problems and went to couple therapy for a long while. I guess we always felt like deep down we really loved each other and it was very worthwhile to try and figure out where we were going wrong. We always worked on our problems and it was so worth it. Now that we are older we love and appreciate each other so much every day and we don’t forget all the little ways to show it. I just want to send this out to everyone hoping you will not give up on your love if you feel that it is the real thing and talk and share and above all forgive. This young couple has so much to be thankful for. Beautiful.
you can find that too but since women only go for looks and only want model tier men you wont get true love since you base your relationship decisions of something shallow.

I don't think it's meant as clickbait. Overall I got the feeling that the guy has a serious ego. First, he decided it's his job to tell her story and he tells it from his perspective. He talks about how it affected his life and his relationships. He kind of implies that he saved her from her own social isolation. This definitely distracted me. Overall it's a good video and it brings attention to serious issues. But, it would have been better if he was less of a focus. It's kinda creepy how he keeps looking at her for reaction. I started to count how many times he drank coffee and tried to measure how much coffee he'd get each time. Is he fake drinking by the end while looking at her for reaction? That's insane! ;)
As someone who currently has a girlfriend with anorexia, this means a lot to me. And I’m sure it does to her too Edit June 2023: Hey this 3 years ago wow! Just a little update for everyone, my partner is considered to be fully recovered from anorexia nervosa. She enjoys her food again, has developed a love for cooking home made meals and is a healthy weight and is eager to gain more around her thighs. I'm very proud of her :)
@@mj4r anorexia isnt just being underweight. It can be intentional or not. Theres anorexia (non intentional) so people who think they're just going on a diet or people who are so stressed they cant eat, and theres anorexia nervosa( intentional) where, in most cases, people struggle with body dysmorphia(unreal depiction of your own body) and believe the only way out is to starve. It is a mental Illness that can be super dangerous and hard to over come( I know first hand).
You can help your partner improve. If you're waiting for the perfect partner while you yourself are not perfect it won't work. This couple grew together for years and years and years... They're together since 14. I guarantee you he wasn't so perfect from start... He grew and she had a big role on that... And viceversa.
Aside from the people above, be yourself. Someday you will find someone, whether Male or otherwise, and you will fall in love. If you feel you have some things to fix, go ahead! But not to the point where you lose yourself inside. 💕

Not to mention the fact it’s really uncomfortable having people mention mental illnesses that you’ve struggled with. It’s embarrassing and painful when my partner brings it up. I’m so ashamed of what I did to myself and I can’t really show how bad it hurts, it’s just drowning inside my head in my own shame

I adore this. You two are inspiring and so STRONG. One thing I'd give insight to in my recovery from alcohol and drugs at 9 years is a place of "neutrality", as the AA Big Book explains. My addiction is not a battle. I've ceased fighting anything and anyone for the most part. I do, however, have to grow, as even to be stagnant, can mean getting closer to that substance/thing/whatever. I'm so glad Haylee is recovered and continuing to fight and helping others who share the same burden with food. It's no coincidence that you met in 7th grade and continue to share your life's journey together it was always meant to be. Beautiful.

Thing is they won't be the wrong person in the beginning. That's something that comes after. When you're with someone and you want to marry them. They are the right person. But life changes people and can pull people apart. You're never guarenteed an great life at all times.
Maybe if you are scared you are predetermined to hold onto a bad relashionship in the future. Breaking up or a divorce is not the end of the world. If you get remarried to a better fitting person it is a positive thing
And if you marry the wrong person it's not the worst thing that will happen. You could overcome that.... unless they kill you lol....
Take your time! You don't have to get married because you've been dating for xxxx amount of time, or because you've gotten pregnant, or anything really. You don't ever "have to be" married. Its OK to take your time, and its OK to not ever want to get married. Do it for you, not anyone else, and you have to keep communicating; keep working together on your relationship. Proper clickbait title
That's insane! ;)

The way he keeps looking at her to make sure she’s okay is 🥺
💙💙💙
He totally was trying not to cry. I’d be doing the very same thing.
He was looking at her for reaction; approval of what he created...sorry
He is so sweet!
@@cjschmitt4882 fact bro🥺
Wow what an incredibly well put together story and with such depth, feeling and inspiration you SIr have a raw talent at story telling and film making. I'm so glad Haylee is recovered and continuing to fight and helping others who share the same burden with food. It's no coincidence that you met in 7th grade and continue to share your life's journey together it was always meant to be. I have always looked for that kind of bond and love with someone else but have yet to find it and I'm almost 60 now but seeing that others have found it warms my heart. I wish you both the best and many happy years together.

Wow, don't EVER let this man go!!! This is how a man should love a woman!
show me a woman that is worthy of this treatment tho. Very few still are.
@@chrisdnz7886 that's a bad mindset to have
And a woman a man☺️😇
@@chrisdnz7886 there are women who don't deserve this and men who don't deserve this. But there are still people who deserve love. But there isn't any right way or correct way to love a person. There's only wrong ways.
@@chrisdnz7886 Dude everyone deserves love, who hurt you?
He is so patient. We all need this kind of patience.

Women and men alike needs patience
