I love scarves - they always fit, they can transform an outfit, will keep you dry/warm, and each one of mine is a wearable work of art. I travel frequently, and will always have at least half a dozen (theytake up very little space) in silk and very fine wool. I prefer larger squares, as I find them more versatile. A scarf belt will never set off the metal detector at security!

I always bring local made scarves from my travels (instead of fridge magnets & mugs 😅), beautiful fabrics and patterns like Russia, Azerbaijan or Pakistan to name a few. I'd rather forget my phone than my scarf when I get out of my house, and I always get tones of compliments even though younger French women tend to think it's for "older ladies". Hope good quality/fancy scarves will become trendy again, it just elevate any outfit in my opinion 😍

I had that same idea but forgot about the "local made" part, so depending on what side of the tag shows, I traveled either to Sweden or to China
It's a great scarf either way
Omg, you're right Frédérique! I was on a plane, freezing (with my jacket on) and a French lady next to me handed me her pashmina scarf. It is so warm - I can (also) highly recommend.❤️

This was so cool! Last night I had to go out partying unexpectedly and had only 45mins to dress!! I had no idea what to wear and was tired from working. So, I just wore a thick strapped, square neck black cami, black skinny jeans, black strappy sandals and a chunky gold necklace. Then, magically, I caught a glimpse of my leopard print scarf and that really was the missing piece to the outfit. Totally transformed the outfit. Scarves are so essential!

Thank you Frederique for another delightful video. Just this morning, I was moving my spring/summer clothes into my closet since it has warmed up where I live and I found my scarf collection. I considered donating all of them because I live in the Southwest desert of the US and it's just too warm 9 months of the year to wear a scarf AND I was concerned about looking older/ out of touch. I will now give more thought to the scarves and any that I keep thanks to your insight. Love all of your videos and I think you look great in red! Wear it for those of us who truly cannot!

Every video is like sitting down with a friend for a chat and a laugh, always leave smiling. Also I have a 90x90cm leopard print scarf that I love but I can only seem to do the neck tie with it, any other ways of wearing it? Cause it’s so short i can’t use it as a belt
Maybe try to make a triangle with it to get a longer length ?

Red suits you very much. I like scarves but cannot wear them in the summer where I live....the American south. The humidity here is extremely high during summer. It’s just too much for me. But I do use them the rest of the year. Great job on this, as usual.👍 . Hugs from your American friend.

I adore scarves, I have been wearing them since my late teens! My Mom buys me scarves for Christmas every year as she knows I will wear them. I have quite a collection but I love them all and I try to rotate them as the seasons change. My favorite is the euro knot tie (simple yet effective) but I am trying to branch out and wear scarves in different ways. Thanks for these ideas! I love using scarves on vacation (back in the day...) so it looks like you are wearing a different outfit each day but really I was wearing the same 2-3 tops and just switching out the scarves!

I have a big collection of scarves - can't stop looking at them when I'm out . There's a few silk scarves in there - nothing moves like silk and is so light for summer .But they are not my favourites . My most valued scarves are Italian made , varying fabrications , linen blends , polyester etc . never florals but solid colours or geometric patterns . There's something for everyone to love about scarves ! Many are travel mementos also .

I wear a lot of scarves, when I am traveling. It updates an outfit, so you can wear it more than once, yet look differently. It can also… ahem… hide a stain on a top, before you have the chance to wash clothes. (Pull the scarf on and position it… then use a safety pin - from the wrong/underside of your top - to pin the scarf over the stain.)
