Bow Season - Hannah watching Kansas Young Bucks in Rut!

- I forgot to mention in the video: I wear a safety harness under my jacket to keep the buckles from rattling against my bow. The hood on my jacket is detachable by a zipper and buttons, so I just put the strap through the back of the hood between the zipper and buttons so I can use my hood without the strap getting in the way!
Still putting everything together from our Kansas trip. Had a great time up there, and watched a lot of deer before finally taking a beautiful Kansas 10 Point with my bow! I’ll have a video put together of it pretty soon! Y’all stay tuned!
This is just a video of an afternoon sit where I watched several different bucks come into a stand me and dad set up an hour and a half before.

You remind me of my daughter, her and I used to bow hunt together here in NY. It was late 90's so no phone videos, and sure wish I had those since she passed in 1996. Enjoy your hunts and your dad. Stay safe.

Gosh i wanna be just like you when i get older! Im just turnin 13 and we live in a small town area in va right off the city but we own a acre or so of land and we see deer walking in are yard all the time & i been wanting to get deer corn so bad for them. Love em

Awesome video. I have sat in a tree stand all day in SE Ohio thru this type of weather. Always took little snacks to nibble on an water, and most important heaters.

I would like to Thank you for your shout out from a Air Force Vet. I live in Alabama and I concur with your saying it is cold in Kansas. My first station was Missouri. You went out the front gate and you were in Missouri , then you went out the back gate you were in Kansas. I separated from the Air Force and started driving big rigs in Olatha,KS. I put in 1.5 million miles before they disabled me.

Loved your video, Hannah, watching the younger bucks and does makes it easier on the buck fever we all get when the big one walks by. I went back and watch the first buck. Looked like he may have been an older fella with a small rack.

They just hop right over the barb wire like it was nothin. Decades ago had one come up a river bank right beside my 71 Olds Delta 2-door and jump right over the stopped car with no run at all,his/her hooves just rubbed the vinyl roof a bit and up the steep hill it went to join the others we just saw in the headlights. A friend on the passenger side looking out the window could only say one word "WOW". Back then we were loaded six-ways-from-sunday touring the gravel roads through the hills.

Donnie Senor, in KS, called hedge balls or hedge apples from a hedge tree. Hedge trees are very thorny. They were originally used for wind breaks & fence lines.

It’s a totally different hunt that some people who have never hunted outside of the south could fathom. It will slap ruin hunting in the south for you. Lol! We also live in Pike County, Alabama and hunt NW Kansas every year-will live for that trip. Hunting the cold weather is something we love about that hunt because we don’t get much of it back home.
