Primitive camping is the most satisfying camping. Done this for years. Years ago my stepson wanted to go camping. I asked if he wanted to do it tent style or primitive. He chose primitive. Ever since then his confidence skyrocketed. Self reliance inspires.

Yep, paused once for a nap. He was making me tired just looking at the work he was doing. I saw many of these clips back when he was actually building the camp. The montage really sewed it all together. Lov this man's adventures.
My husband and I lived and worked seismic ,so traveled with our job most of the western states. There was some Canadian guys we worked with. And their way of speech amazed me. I picked up the habit of saying "A". I still say it and my husband always gets a laugh from it. Just a reminder of our younger days .
I roomed with a Canadian for just one semester and holy frijoles that “eh” and shifted “ow” to “ō” is contagious. I STILL start back immediately whenever I hear it. 😂

I’m 57 years old and am disabled I have diabetes I’m overweight I have Emphysema the first days of this I thought I was gonna die but I didn’t for some reason I guess God is not done with me yet!! And I think God didn’t let me c this video till today to have it to watch it!! I got to pay attention in case God has me a message in this video!! I came to this channel late in it's life. I don't think I had seen all of the building of that structure. I was half way through this film, when I came to a realization of...something... not quite right- to be as delicate as possible. Now I understand why you let someone else edit this. The editing is spot on, and a Lovely trip down memory lane. I am grateful for the work you put into filming and bringing us along.

For a second I thought it was his latest build, but I found myself not recognizing any of the videos and realized it was before I discovered him. Strangely enough, despite the fact I didn't experience the build until now I found myself with a knot in my throat when he was tearing it down.
@@lanceuppercut6168 I've been watching so long, I've forgotten when I found him. I do remember that first vid I saw. There was several feet of snow, He found a leaning tree and made a leanto out of it with a back of pine limbs, much thinner than this camp. Tossed some more pine limbs on the snow inside the "leanto' and put his sleeping bag on top of them. Built a fire out front that melted the snow and made a pit 1.5 - 2 feet deep. Cooked a rabbit on a spit. I was amazed and captivated.
