Young Lady, this is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I've seen models in shops for sale (high dollar models) that didn't look this professionally assembled. Again, I'm blown away by this. It's AWESOME!!!!!
Amazing to see how far you’ve come! I think it would be cool to redo this project now and see the difference and the skills you’ve leant alone the way 😊
I discovered your channel recently and it's so interesting to look back at your old videos and see how much you have learned and improved your skills! It's also so inspiring to see you gain confidence in your colorful style and stop hiding your missing finger. I hope I can follow your example.
Yeah!!! That looks awesome!! Well done! I wanted to tell you about plaster and oil paint for but then I realized both don't go well at all with water. So insteal I can suggest you a couple of channel that makes scenery and terrain: "Luke Towan" and "Lukes Aps". Tons of inspiration there for this kind of stuff! Great work again :)
It's hard to believe that that was your first time making it look like stone, it was so spot on and it turned out beautiful! I wish I were that artistic and handy to do stuff like that. Thank you for the posting.
“I’m just gonna use a *insert improvised tool here* because... I... don’t have... anything else.” Story of my life while I watch and plan to follow any kind of craft video. So relatable. Love you guys.
It looks great. I would offer a tip to making granite stone.... after that 1st black layer.. try using a sponge for all after layers instead of a brush. Next fountain or scenery project, get some sand from outside.. dry it out... very fun to small granulated and pebbles. get some marble to marble shooter size rocks as well. use hot glue to place your boulders (marbler size rocks).. use Elmer's glue along shorelines and around boulders. sprinkle the pebbles in and then the sand around that.
I'm a new fan. The difference between then and now is startlingly. The talent is here at the start. But this is the first time I've seen you with brown hair. (That's what made me look at when this video was done. ) Lots of talent!! You've gotten so much experience in the last 2 years. I can't wait to see what you are doing 2 years from now! Great work.
This looks really cool, BUT, you had those waterproof LED strips, why not use a strip of that and line the bottom front of the little lake with that as well ? Maybe add a little diffusing plastic layer on the LED so the light is broken up a little more, it'll seem like a glow is coming from the bottom of the water as well.
well perha's maybe glow paint would have been a viable option, that would have probally worked, also some on the moss would have peobally been good as well, i can see what you are indeed saying, would have made it interesting, but like she said it was he first time makeing it and i can't say it dosen't look wonderful, hell i whish i could make something like that or well takw one i have and add to it
“I’m completely new to this landscape miniature thing-“ me watching the video four years later when landscapes and minutes are your entire channel: “holy-
Ok so this is the first video I've watched from you, and I just wanted to say that you're so creative and smart. I love listening to your voice and your soft accent. I'm not sure why but I tend to find creators really pretty! Love you! Keep creating!💜
my advice may be outdated by now as this video is over a year old. However for rock, I've found it more beneficial to prime/base coat (a paint and primer all in one is ideal) in a lighter color (gray/brown/green/etc) closer to what you want the finished product to be then wash it down, rather than to start black and try to work up. you end up covering the black anyway so washing will achieve the same effect with more control and is more efficient use of the paint (as u dont need as much). once its sufficiently washed to your liking, drybrush for highlights and you're good to go. Either way, this ended up looking amazing! very well done!
She's gotten way better at rock, the latest videos show her using stippling, washing and dry brushing and her colour choices are much better too which makes for awesome realistic rock
HOLY COW THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL i thought you just found a rock and carved it somehow but i neverwould've guessed it was just styrofoam! you're so knowledgeable and crafty haha i could never make this.i dont have the patience to make those beautiful sketches either. great job!!
So cool! I actually wanted a fairy/enchanted grove type indoor fountain forever 🤩 Love, what you came up with! One idea I had would be to cover the sensitive areas with something like spray toolgrip (I have it in clear and black). Although for most people silicon will be cheaper and more easily available.
Fixx Foxx true, mine right now is quite dog like and easy to train but I've lived with many cats that would give you intense eye contact and try to knock TVs off or eat nails
For someone who had little experience with modeling, this turned out really nice. As others have suggested, Luke Towan has excellent videos on creating all kinds of terrain. I look forward to seeing your other videos. Thanks.
Here's a fun tip I recently discovered: You can spray paint your foam directly. I know, sounds like a trap, but here's the trick: Most spray paint is made up of a paint pigment, a binder, and Acetone to keep the binder in a liquid state. The acetone WILL melt your foam, but it also evaporates very fast when aerosolized. If you spray from farther away, like 2 or 3 feet, the acetone will evaporate before making contact. By varying the distance, you can also control the interaction of the acetone with you foam, making slightly melty parts, very melty parts, and the effect can be a very stunning stone-like texture without the need to seal or coat your foam. I love your final product! Painting realistic stone is very tricky, and you nailed it! I just discovered your channel a few minutes ago, but I am subscribing. Now, I'm off to binge the rest of your videos.
Sealing everything with Elmer's glue allows you to spray or paint acetone to exposed areas if your creating texture works great for doing resin lakes as most resin casting melts foam
This is brilliant. Painting rocky terrain is easy using a drybrushing technique. There are a ton of videos on it, and the finished product looks great. I make my own role-playing terrain. Keep up the good work.
This is the first time I’m seeing something you have posted and I have to say you are so talented! This fountain turned out so cool. From the thumbnail the crystals looked like glowing butterflies. The crystals were a great touch I love it.
It's so odd seeing you without purple or pink hair! 😫 The improvement from these old videos are amazing and it's always fun to see the progress!! Everyone has to start somewhere 💛
Great video and wonderful fountain, I would suggest having something at the base of the waterfall to diffuse the water and to minimise the pee sound as if hits the bottom pool.
Behind the water in some spots, to give it more depth, you could layer hot glue and let it drip so that it looks deeper/ like there’s more water flowing down.
Always fun to watch you work. maybe as a tip, when doing cave like structures you can let hot glue "drip off the edges" to create like a stalactite effect. hot glue doesn't break compared to other mediums and it paints easy
Even your early work is fantastic! If your hair weren't such a shock after only seeing your wonderfully colorful hair in more recent years, I'd have thought this was current!
I build reptile backgrounds. I use hot wire foam factory products! top notch. Also, for your first time painting rock, you did a fantastic job! It's fun watching it become 3D and more rock like right before your eyes! Wonderful job!
Great job! If I may make a suggestion, instead of standard 5050 RGB leds, which require 4 leads, try WS2812 leds. These are available in a number of configurations. The nice thing about them is that you only have to cut one led out of the strip instead of 3. There are actually two varieties: WS2811, which uses 4 wires (+, -, clock and data in) and uses 12 VDC to operate, and the WS2812 which uses 5 VDC and 3 wires (+, -, and data in) These can be easily controlled by using any of the Arduino computers (I like the Nano), using software available for free from GitHub. Adafruit has some libraries, but you might like Fastled better. Alternatively, you could use an led controller such as you used in this project.
This is very neat. I'd love to have seen something used more permanent than foam material-wise as the core structure for long term durability. It looks amazing but would have been even more killer with one more water drop area and some lighting submerged to also illuminate the water more at night (to off-set stones). Great work!
I paint a lot with acrylic and i do have to say it is kinda hard to make a texture look on 3D objects, and for it to be ur first time on making a rock texture I have to say u did I really good job!
I couldn't figure out how you were going to make what I saw at the start but I was definitely curious. I have to admit though, I thought the styrofoam's natural color was beautiful. For your first time rock texturing, I think you should be proud! You're naturally talented and without you realizing it, creativity comes easy. This was my second video of yours and I'm officially subscribed, looking forward to more!!
Wow I loved this so much. I AIM to be this talented. I made something similar awhile back. So for those that (like me) don’t have a 3D printer or a styrofoam cutter: I used air dry clay instead of styrofoam. Make sure it’s completely dry! I didn’t think to add crystals, but either you could buy real crystals or fake glass ones at a lot of craft stores. At least in the US, idk about other countries. There are also tutorials on YT on how to make crystals using salt! Again, love the video!
To help you make a more realistic Rock look try looking up Model Railroad train landscaping and Backdrops. there are tones of books with many tips and supply ideas for decades of model builders.
First I would just like to say I love this video and you did should a great job, and I would like to give you a tip if you do more of these. My tip is to look at real images of landscape/earth structures that are close to the thing your building to help you get an idea of how things should look. Three things you should mainly look at (in my opinion) is color, shape, and how it fits in to the environment it’s around.
Wow that looks AMAZING! I'm on an injectible med for my RA and it comes in a much too large for the item styrofoam cooler chest full of cold packs. It just chafes my hide to have to put all of that in the trash every month. I'm actually familiar with the layering and carving styrofoam method. An event decorating company I worked for a long time ago used that method to craft all of the large, intricate 3D pieces we used when we were working for shopping malls and museums. I have no idea why I didn't think about that before. I'm disabled and broke so free art supplies I can keep stored in a bin outside under the patio roof fits the bill nicely. That way the lady I rent from won't have a conniption fit over seeing cut down cooler boxes piling up in the laundry/storage room. 😄 And I giggled when you used acetone as a sculpting agent. To make big textured stone wall pieces for one project, they handed me a tray of gasoline and a brush. It reacts the same. Plus if you flick the brush just right it makes the wonderful rough pocked stone of dank dungeon walls. When we were in the shop doing fabrication, I got to play with power tools a lot, too. 😁 That was an amazingly fun job despite long hours overnight in the venues doing setups
There is a channel called LizardLandscapes that does a lot of Styrofoam landscapes with an incorporated fountain; his stuff is for animal terrariums, but the concept still stands. There are a lot of tips and different techniques to be found there. Hope this helps. Your fountain is definitely very cool and different because I never would have thought to incorporate a 3d printed item like you did -very original and something I'll keep in mind.
Beautiful work!! I love the fantasy feel it portrays (I'm a fan of any fantasy diy). It's not a criticism but just a suggestion that maybe you can incorporate in your next fantasy work with water. It would have been more magical (for me) if there were also lights along the trail of the water so that the water will also sparkle in the dark. Maybe a lot on the bottom pool and one on where the water starts at the top and that small puddle on the middle left. Keep it up!!!
EXCELLENT. That was wonderful to watch! I'm thinking of all the ways I can apply such technique to other craft and project ideas I have. Thank you for sharing this! :)
I've linked to all the materials and tools in the description if you want to check it out! :)

Nerdforge are you selling it , it looks really good and I would use it as decor in my bed room .
Hi, i am German but i live in Norway 😄
I Love you diy 😍
Omg amazing, you´re so talented! Also, what is the songs you play in the background called >w
im called martina too, oh oh
You have to watch this channel, he makes this kind of stuff
ruclips.net/channel/UCjRkUtHQ774mTg1vrQ6uA5A
It’s amazing to see how far she’s come in just two years. Like this is amazing, but her new models are otherworldly.
Is that all they've been on RUclips. Theyare both, epicly talented and have very fast become up there with my new favourite channels!
*me sees the thumbnail*
Me: awe i want to do that!
*Me sees power tools in the vid*
Me: i guess i can just watch it
Me too
Cecania cc same :(
Me three!😞🤷🏻♀️
Lol yeah 😂
Noo! Don't let power tools scare you off. They're not hard to use. You can do it!!
You've come so far in your ability to paint landscapes like these in the last three years :) It's been fun to watch
Young Lady, this is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I've seen models in shops for sale (high dollar models) that didn't look this professionally assembled. Again, I'm blown away by this. It's AWESOME!!!!!

He is really good
Black Beard Projects oil and jelly alcools 😯?

I wanna make my fountain ⛲ on my channel.... 😉😉😉

Yep the water would have looked more magical
that led strip only had the silicone in one side so it is not so waterproof. but it would have looked awesome with some lights in the water
You can make it waterproof, get a sperate string of waterproof LEDs, use some clear plastic as a shelf in between and waterproof that, many solutions.
She even already put a layer of transparent silicone down, just needed to add the LED strips in before that step. Easy.
well perha's maybe glow paint would have been a viable option, that would have probally worked, also some on the moss would have peobally been good as well, i can see what you are indeed saying, would have made it interesting, but like she said it was he first time makeing it and i can't say it dosen't look wonderful, hell i whish i could make something like that or well takw one i have and add to it
Really neat looking back "first time making rock texture" and now she's basically a pro. 😍

Beautiful work, girl! 😊
I still have a small fountain, but I had to stop using it... Because my cats started drinking water in it. 😕
MC's Creations lol maybe get them a cat fountain and put it high up on a shelf they cannot jump onto
Fixx Foxx true, mine right now is quite dog like and easy to train but I've lived with many cats that would give you intense eye contact and try to knock TVs off or eat nails
We bought one so my cat for my cat to drink out of but he dint seem interested so it is decoration now.
cat's can be so hillarious sometimes XD i mean most of the time
Is it jarmful for a cat to drink water from it?

I would recommend a more stepped waterfall with lots of rocky surfaces to break it up. That way the water kind of flows down instead of trickling!
Sealing everything with Elmer's glue allows you to spray or paint acetone to exposed areas if your creating texture works great for doing resin lakes as most resin casting melts foam
me: *putting on bobbydukearts voice*
I WaNt ThAt
Stuart Coker You can make it outta wewd doe, in fact some tinted resin w/ lights being diffused in them would be sweet
Its not made of wewd, but it has woter
Actually Bobby Duke is referencing a scene from Napoleon Dynamite when he says that in that voice lol. My family has been quoting it for years.
This is brilliant. Painting rocky terrain is easy using a drybrushing technique. There are a ton of videos on it, and the finished product looks great. I make my own role-playing terrain. Keep up the good work.
Adding an ultrasonic mist maker would be really cool

BEAUTIFUL! That sound of running water from this fountain is MUSIC TO MY EARS!!
Drybrushing works really well when terrain has a lot of texture like that
Beautiful!! It’s looks amazing!!! Also the idea of painting the bottom of lakes dark blue makes the water so beautiful! Great job! Hope to see more!☺️
So awesome! As a painter... I would have followed tge same painting processes you did.
4.16 "WONDER WHY THE WOULD OPEN A BAG OF WHITE POWDER"- THIS REALLY MADE ME LAUGH)))
Would love to see you revisit this project now that you have even more experience and knowledge at your disposal!
This is really neat. Nice job. For added effect you could add glow in the dark powder around the crystals before adding your clear coat finish.
It's so odd seeing you without purple or pink hair! 😫
The improvement from these old videos are amazing and it's always fun to see the progress!! Everyone has to start somewhere 💛
Pretty cool my son sent me this link we will atempt to build one ! Thank you !!
I’m getting really strong David Arkenstone Fairy Garden vibes. So beautiful!
Great video and wonderful fountain, I would suggest having something at the base of the waterfall to diffuse the water and to minimise the pee sound as if hits the bottom pool.

It was amazing even before the the painting on it part. It looked like a glacier! This was so satisfying to watch.

I build reptile backgrounds. I use hot wire foam factory products! top notch. Also, for your first time painting rock, you did a fantastic job! It's fun watching it become 3D and more rock like right before your eyes! Wonderful job!
Beautiful! I’m already brainstorming how I can do something similar with polymer clay and resin
Great video - am glad you left in the video the issues that you had and how you solve them.
Great job! If I may make a suggestion, instead of standard 5050 RGB leds, which require 4 leads, try WS2812 leds. These are available in a number of configurations. Just checking out some of your older videos. This turned out nice! I really like that you panted the bottom blue because it really stands out nicely.
This is very neat. I'd love to have seen something used more permanent than foam material-wise as the core structure for long term durability. It looks amazing but would have been even more killer with one more water drop area and some lighting submerged to also illuminate the water more at night (to off-set stones). Great work!
Just amazing work. Well done ! Thank you for sharing
when doing landscape DIY stuff i highly suggest you use a picture or an item (depends on what you are making) and use that as a reference guide.
Hey Martina, Great Work btw. You could add some tiny mist makers to really make it look enchanted.
COOOOLLL! That was super rad! So much soldering. I cried when I had to do 3 joins, she did like a zillion.
I *REALY* want that in my Room! I love crafts like these, they are very pretty. Nice Work!
and people say women cant make amazing things, you're awesome girl! i'm speechless at how beautiful this piece is
This was awesome! I’m only about a year into making dioramas, I’ll be using some of these techniques in my upcoming projects! Thank you for the video!
I paint a lot with acrylic and i do have to say it is kinda hard to make a texture look on 3D objects, and for it to be ur first time on making a rock texture I have to say u did I really good job!
Your skill range is incredible! I don't think there is anyone out there who could make it by themselves from start to finish. Great job!
I couldn't figure out how you were going to make what I saw at the start but I was definitely curious. I have to admit though, I thought the styrofoam's natural color was beautiful. For your first time rock texturing, I think you should be proud! You're naturally talented and without you realizing it, creativity comes easy.
This was my second video of yours and I'm officially subscribed, looking forward to more!!
unbelievable how far you've come! this was awesome but you make same seriously incredible stuff now too
The videos have improved so much in the 2 year timespan its almost funny to see this
Wow I loved this so much. I AIM to be this talented. I made something similar awhile back. So for those that (like me) don’t have a 3D printer or a styrofoam cutter:
I used air dry clay instead of styrofoam. Make sure it’s completely dry!
I didn’t think to add crystals, but either you could buy real crystals or fake glass ones at a lot of craft stores. At least in the US, idk about other countries. There are also tutorials on YT on how to make crystals using salt! Again, love the video!

This is so cool. I'm not a big fan of the crystals, but the rock texture looks so amazing.
That is stunning. I love how you integrate lights but integrating water is even more awesome!

Honestly it looks amazing for a first time project
this is SO PRETTY
i’m obsessed with your channel
my heart feels so so full 😍 wow you’re so talented, i’m so inspired
This would be really cool to see house lighting up.🤔👍
That's cool! It makes me want to make one to fall asleep to. It sounds relaxing!
Just beautiful... from the thumbnail I thought this was a tiny fountain, without real water... but it still looks awesome... great video 👍
What a cool looking project, you did great on the painting for your first time trying it. Congratulations. 👍🏼
Breathtakingly beautiful ... would love to making this as well
Oh my goodness!!! This is soooo lovely and magical!
Thank you for making this, I'm getting so much inspiration!
Looked like a glacier before you melted it with the acetone. 😍
What an amazing job you did!! Love the video editing, the music and the fountain design. Good job, keep doing stuff. Greetings from Argentina ✌
Wow!😍😍 That fountain looks great!😍
there would be even enough space for include a fog machine. awesome job!
That came out beautifully! I'd love that on my dresser, next to the alter🥰🥰🥰
I liked that moment with aceton, when it's looked, like ice!
And I giggled when you used acetone as a sculpting agent.
WOW you did great on the whole thing, you can add fairies and animals
A Legend was born
There is a channel called LizardLandscapes that does a lot of Styrofoam landscapes with an incorporated fountain; his stuff is for animal terrariums, but the concept still stands. There are a lot of tips and different techniques to be found there. Hope this helps. Your fountain is definitely very cool and different because I never would have thought to incorporate a 3d printed item like you did -very original and something I'll keep in mind.
This is amazing! I would love to see a larger project like this to be a fantasy-scape.
Imagine being this smart and talented
omg u should do this again but keep it blue and make like an iceberg waterfall. 💖💖💖
I love it! I wonder where the fairies roam.
10:55 yeah I really needed the bathroom after that, thanks 😂❤
The stone effect is amazing 🤩 The dirt feels a bit petrified, but this is still really awesome 😍👏
Looks great. All I can think is that it will end up as a fancy cat fountain
EXCELLENT. That was wonderful to watch! I'm thinking of all the ways I can apply such technique to other craft and project ideas I have. Thank you for sharing this! :)
I love the music y'all use , and all the projects.
Those LED crystals look great!
