UPDATE: The Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro (as well as the F500 Elite) is now compatible with native PS5 fighting games with the Brook Wingman FGC. Was in touch with Brook and they let me know its now compatible with the latest firmware. I tested this with SF6 and can confirm it works!
The official arcade stick from venom for the ps4 works well on the ps5. You can pick them up cheap, they're the same form factor as the f500 v2. I modded mine to look like an Astro city stick.
I have the Mayflash F500 Elite and I purchased yesterday the Mayflash MAGIC-NS (rev 2.0) which includes a USB-A female to USB-C male connector and it is only $19.99 It works great on my PS4 & PS5 with no problems what so ever. Bought for SF6 game. Also works with PS3 & PS2 (which has a bluetooth adapters for PS2 wireless controllers).

Grabbed the Mayflash-X and now have my Astro City Arcade stick working with Genesis Mini 1, Xbox Series S and my Switch! Life changed. Oddly the Evercade VS worked with the stick natively, not sure what those crazy cats did.

So this technique didn’t work for me, but after updating the Magic S Ultimate and plugging that directly to the PS5, with the F500 Elite usb plugged to the back of that, worked. So funnily strange how that worked.

Great little device, and at about half the cost of the Brook FGC. I was able to get my old Xbox PDP fight stick working on my PS5 to play MK1. Just make sure you update the stick firmware, otherwise you'll get the same controller error message that was shown in this video.
Doesn't work on ps5 games because the dualsense has new authentication that hasnt been cracked yet so none of these devices like cronus and others will work yet on ps5 games there was a method of certain third party ps4 controllers working with ps5 games to do the authentication they used to workaround but sony has patched it on newer games and updates

I have the Magic S ultimate adapter with F500 elite I love it. Before I believe I had that orange box one and it didn't work for my ps5 games so I had to get the S ultimate.
The only ps5 options that aren't modded are these Mayflash 300/500, Vitrix Pro FS, and the Hori Fighting Stick Alpha (Street Fighter 6 version available for pre-order 😉) Otherwise you are dealing with modding your own with a UFB and their PS5 chip, or getting one from custom makers who will do the mod as part of the order

It will work with the ps4 version or you can go with (xbox console+xbox brook adapter) and it will support literally EVERYTHING! And won’t matter what version of the game you’re playing 👍

When you plug this into the back of the Mayflash stick and then the stick into the ps5, it's a wired connection right? Seems like it should be but I know this thing is a bluetooth adapter so I didn't know if the stick is just getting power from the PS5 and being controlled from bluetooth
Got the same setup. Each time I reboot the PS5, I have to unplug the usb cable at the PS5, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in for it to get it to work. The two left switches are in the middle.

When it restocks, grab a Brook Wingman FGC. It's confirmed to let pretty much any stick work on PS5, and it's legal for EVO. Mayflash Elite sticks come with Sanwa Buttons + JLF lever and are basically as good as you can get with a small budget and should work with them. If you want native PS5 support, be prepared to spend at least $200 if you're lucky

I usually go to tournaments so I needed official support and for Playstation I have a Brook, I must say it's horrible(laggy and only wired conection) I hope Mayflash releases a new device with official support

I got a leverless fight stick dedicated for ps5 but suddenly realized I needed an adapter. It’s only for ps4 and other consoles. 😭 Why can’t Sony make this easier bro. Once in a blue moon I enjoy fighters. But I honestly don’t like the ps4 or ps5s arrow keys at all. They are pretty bad. At least my controller works on steam!

THE RULE: PS5 games only work with the PS5 controller and won’t accept 3rd party arcade sticks UNLESS your playing a PS4 GAME (with adapter) So if I were to go to a tournament using a PS5 I will need a Sony arcade stick. Well Mayflash seems to have figured out something... but it only works with there own arcade sticks to be recognized as PS5.

brook boards have an expensive add on that grants compatibility with ps5 native titles thankfully.
Hori Fighting Edge PS4 Version works on the PS5 with PS5 titles out of the box. So happy.

Hey. Love the video very helpful. I'm looking to buy a ps5 fight stick something with a sanwa jlf in it. But I can't find anything that is made for a ps5. I don't want to spend the money on something nice and it won't work with future games like tekken 8 , sf6. Got aby suggestions on what to buy I'll even switch to a Korean lever it works for all my ps5 and ps4 stuff
When it restocks, grab a Brook Wingman FGC. It's confirmed to let pretty much any stick work on PS5, and it's legal for EVO.
Mayflash Elite sticks come with Sanwa Buttons + JLF lever and are basically as good as you can get with a small budget and should work with them.
If you want native PS5 support, be prepared to spend at least $200 if you're lucky

@@bssbshs hi, I play Tekken 8 on Xbox And I have the mayflash magic x adapter. My problem is that Mayflash does not offer official support for Playstation 5. I usually go to tournaments so I needed official support and for Playstation I have a Brook, I must say it's horrible(laggy and only wired conection) I hope Mayflash releases a new device with official support

I have raspberry pi pico arcade stick and i mostly use it on pc, but that suck i can't use it at tournaments they use ps5 there 😢

I got a leverless fight stick dedicated for ps5 but suddenly realized I needed an adapter. It’s only for ps4 and other consoles. 😭 Why can’t Sony make this easier bro. Once in a blue moon I enjoy fighters. But I honestly don’t like the ps4 or ps5s arrow keys at all. They are pretty bad. At least my controller works on steam!

@@ramstab you should just go with the qanba drone for 80$ and upgrade to sanwa parts over time. Buying a officially licensed Sony product guarantees it will always work on Sony hardware.

@@ramstab No you don’t, it’s a officially licensed Sony product I recommend you look it up. BTW I don’t have a PS5…I have a xbox…BUT I do have the qanba drone with sanwa parts+brook adapter so it connects to my xbox. The only reason why I have the qanba drone aka a officially licensed Sony product is because of Sony’s dumb rule. THE RULE: PS5 games only work with the PS5 controller and won’t accept 3rd party arcade sticks UNLESS your playing a PS4 GAME (with adapter) So if I were to go to a tournament using a PS5 I will need a Sony arcade stick.
THE QANBA DRONE WORKS WITHOUT A PS4 CONTROLLER AND WORKS FOR (PS5 GAMES)/my friend has a PS5 and I can play just fine without a additional controller.👍
Love these Mayflash adapters. Do you know by chance if will work with an Xarcade to even a PS4? Have never found anything that will connect one without using their proprietary and expensive addons they sell. great vid as always MLP!

Currently, my Mayflash sticks work for only a few minutes when wired directly into my PS4's USB ports.
