You MUST update to the latest firmware from mayflash's website. As of this video its v1.06
When I got it in the mail it had v1.05 firmware and it did not work on ps5. I updated then it works! Mayflash is great for making these firmware updates.
I don't have any fight sticks to demo because I don't own any. I am pad player. I've seen other videos and comments online of people confirming fight sticks working just how these pads work.
I couldn't get the ps4 controller to work. You need to have it unpaired or reset. Or whatever. I saw someone else manage to get it to work but I dunno how. It should work though.
The converter is also blutooth. If you have a blutooth controller/stick plug it in turn it on. Then you can unplug it and keep using it as blutooth. It is rudimentary so you need to plug it in everytime when you turn on the system.
There's a Magic-X version for Xbox series X/S. Make sure you but the right converter.

The firmware update for PS5 compatibility works for FIGHTING GAMES ONLY with most sticks/controllers.
If you buy one and it doesn't work out of the box check and update the firmware on the Magic-S Ultimate. Here is the link directly to Mayflash's site with instructions:

In the video my Dualshock 4 was not connecting because I was not using a DATA cable. Once I used a data cable to connect with on the USB stick it worked. This will also pair it to the Bluetooth of the mayflash so you can use it wireless. So if you want to use it on your ps4 again make sure to pair it again with a data cable. This should be the case with any Bluetooth controller. Make sure you're using the right kind of cable!
Is this firmware update only limited to magic-s ultimate? Does it work with the magic-ns or magic-pro 2?

Great vid, I was looking for videos showing the 1.06 firmware in action. Now I'm definitely buying this one instead of the much more expensive Brook FGC.

you might have to download the update allot of poeple dont know you have to download the firmware you have too hit the share and ps button bro

@@WaifuSticks its v1.06 it has to be specifically the Magic-S Ultimate. I know mayflash just has page for all their firmware. I think its from September 2023.

@@KeijiMaeda86 Hi again friend. Thought I’d contact you again. It seems there is 3 versions of 1.06. (1.31/1.32/1.33). Only one of them works for PS4/5 fighting games. This might help with the riddle of why some can/can’t get it working.

Does this work the same as Mayflash magic-s pro?
I am not sure. From my understanding mayflash has 3 main lines of usb dongles. S(ony), X(box), and NS(witch). Ultimate-S is their latest that with the most recent firmware allowing controllers to work on PS5. S-Pro is the previous generation and doesn't seem compatible with ps5 the way the ultimate is. Which would explain the $20 price difference now.
If you want a pro-s to use on last gen (ps4, x1, and switch) you should be good. If you meant to use it on a PS5 like in the video then no. You should buy the Ultimate

What's the difference between the Mayflash Magic X vs Mayflash S Ultimate?
Magic-X is specifically for Xbox series x/s. Functionality is the same. If you got an Xbox console I'd suggest getting the magic X.
They got a few different versions out, one for each console basically. Dunno if it's just marketing, but to be on the safe side I'd suggest buying the one for the console you have.

@@joshuadavis5503 yeah, it's on their site. Depending on what you get shipped and how long its been sitting in a warehouse the firmware might be old. If you have connectivity issues. Updating to latest firmware for the Magic-X should fix it.

Does the analog sticks work also? You could try with the dualshock 3. Asking because brook fgc ps5 adapter does not support analog sticks
Yes. The thumbsticks worked on my controllers. Sorry I didn't show it in the video.

@@dringdring6270 it would be limited by your controller itself. Otherwise yes. For example if you use a controller without a TouchPad then any TouchPad functions wouldn't work obviously.
@@KeijiMaeda86thank you, it's a bit confusing because on their website it's clearly indicated for ps4 but not for ps5, on the dongle itself also wrote ps4.
@@dringdring6270 yes, the website could be better managed. Originally it didn't work this way. It was a firmware update that allows it. That being said if you buy one and it doesn't work out of the box on your ps5. Get the latest update from their site

Hi. Yes I'd got my Magic X today & tested it on my Pico Neganer mixbox the experience was seamless I didn't feel any delay, jitter nor lag.
