I would recommend they get removed. The UCA is designed to not use those washers, so thread engagement on the bolt may be limited and you may not be able to get accurate torque specs.
I'm in. But you know the next biggest question... What's the largest diameter tire you can run with these set all the way as shown that will NOT hit when the tire articulates upwards?
Hmmm how many sawzall blades do you have? Thats a hard question to answer since we have not tried every tire size option out there. I can confirm Milestar & BFG A/T 285/70/17s with 4.5" backspacing fit. Every tire manufacturer is a bit different though, some run true to size and others run small.
Mine rubs on the upper control arm, not the wheel well (someone frame lifted this thing 4" before i bought it). Almost rubs on sway bar link and knuckle also. I might just throw parts at it and at least ill have new controls arms that are also "cool"
If it moves the wheel forward instead of backwards like a lot of aftermarket UPC. What do the caster numbers look like after a 2-3" lift on say a 3rd gen? Is there positive or negative caster built into these UPC's?
Yes to both questions. Checkered Automotive in Chula Vista has been our best resource for local installation and alignments. They are very familiar with our Upper Control Arms. The Upper Control Arms are ready to install right out of the box. You will just need to slide in the misalignment spacers into the heim joints when installing the long upper bolt. We also have alignment recommendations in our install guide to help the shop doing the work. You should not need to make any adjustments to the heim joints on our Upper Control Arms.
Is there a big difference in vibration between bushings and heim joints? I’m worried the heim joints will rattle my truck apart. I’m new to purchasing uca’s
The front lower control arms take most of the abuse from terrain, which have rubber joints. Upper heim's wont be a drastic change in feel like you mentioned. Air pressure, correct spring rates and valving will keep your truck from rattling apart.
@@accutuneoffroad Why did you go with heims over polyurethane? I get they are adjustable but aren't upper arms on Tacoma's set and forget? I really like the seals you developed. @@accutuneoffroad 4.5" backspacing on a 9" wheel is what... max of -12 offset? Most 9" wheels people run have more than that. Or they run a 1.25" spacer on a -10 or -12 wheel.

We are shooting for 2-4 degrees of caster with the rear cam adjusters all the way out, front all the way in.

Can these be run with a smaller lift - say 1.75 inch? I have a small amount of tire rub on the stock UPC with my wheel/tire setup.
Yes they can.
How does the down travel compare to the delta joint
They both articulate plenty and the shock would be limiting the overall droop travel before the ball joint binds.

They feel good man no vibrations at all and it lets you get the alignment on point
These are too pricey
