You're the only auto review channel in my feed that has discovered that the third row is really a hidden gem. Most were complaining about how the seats don't fold flat with the floor. But that's pretty awesome.
If your the type of person who actually wants to use your suv to its full potential. This is the best review on the internet. Sarah’s off-road test should literally be the industry standard.
That's a sweet truck. I agree, it's expensive. And it's unattainable. Most of us are broke too. That's why you have the best automotive channel, you're down to earth and relatable.
Blah blah. These type of comments have been done to death. You have no idea what people do with their vehicles when not being used as a daily. It’s condescending with an undertone of ignorance. Just stop.
@@ChopperChad there's a correlation between the size of vehicles and the amount of pedestrian deaths. It's going up even though the rest of the world has pedestrian deaths going down. So yes, it's dumb that people keep buying these big vehicles when they never even use them other than going to work, school and the grocery store.
I love the sounds of the beeps, rings and buzzer sound effects , sprinkled throughout your videos, Sarah. I'm sure you have to refrain yourself from bawdier tones. Yet... Laughter IS the best medicine and I enjoy great health. hahaha ! And automotive reviews you do are the best ever.
That’s a nice ride. As our family grew we needed a family car but wanted something that was fun to drive. Ended up with Explorer ST which was $54k. At the time the Audi SQ7 was the dream car but too expensive. This thing may have surpassed the Audi, really just comes down to off road/snow versus on road preference. $80k is a lot but that’s a pretty bad ass amount of torque!
Yeah.. if there’s one thing that stands out the most, it’s that this is an extremely good looking truck in person and I think it’ll age well exterior style-wise.
"That's not really an assist, that's a free fall." LOL. Well-produced review. If you NEED this combination of capabilities (towing, 3 rows, off-road), this looks like it nails everything. The extra "TRD" branding goes a ways towards jacking up the price needlessly. (Seriously Toyota, give it a rest. Red-painted sway bars don't toughen the truck up any. No one will know they were red in three months...) The performance of that power train bodes well for those who have been waiting FOREVER for the redesigned 4Runner. Assuming of course, Toyota doesn't drop the 4Runnner in favor of the down-scaled Landcruiser variants.
I only recently found your channel and the editing aesthetic has already changed from 2000s Playstation Frutiger Aero to Cyberpunk Techno. Your content is really a goldmine.
Despite the fact this vehicle is not on my Shorrt List for future consideration, as the old ad used to say......"Nobody Does It Better". The most thorough, comprehensive car review on the InterWeb! And Sarah's fashion statements are apparent too.
I've never been interested in the Sequoia until watching this video! Totally love it! 😎👍 Still holding out for the 6th generation 4runner to be unveiled though.
...your camera/s captured the camo in the seats ~ the seats look/function great; but for this price point/and the handling/acceleration of the vehicle...NO BOLSTERING! you manufacture a great vehicle Toyota; but really???? Great review, and colour coordinated threads Sarah ~ other than the seats and no front diff ~ This beast is competitively priced for this level of off-road luxury. There's a lot of high quality thought/parts/design/detail. I'm impressed, but not in my tax bracket - what you said; a stripped down one would be cool
Thx for the metric conversion for fuel consumption for the Canucks!! Does the transfer case automatically engage when in “high” ? Thx for the best reviews out there!
You said it, right at the end. I would order 4 steel spare wheels for it. For long road trips, throw on the pretties… for off road adventures and camping trips… on with the steelies! 🙂 I really like this vehicle, great review ❤️
I just saw one of these out in the wild today...great looking truck and very different from new 4 runner and the about to deliver Land Cruiser 250. I hope Toyota isn't cannibalizing from its own sales with the three, though.
you've mentioned before that you enjoy giving us car reviews and your energy for this is FANtastic ! you're happy and entertaining. Gracias. (Bernie Sanders out of the shop for brake test)
Great review Sarah, entertaining and informative as always. I will never own one of these trucks but it sure is nice to see one being taken through its paces. For those who can afford them, well done, you've probably worked hard to get those $$$ and you probably love the truck.
@sarah-n-tuned - i know this isnt a recent review, but i rewatched it, and i wanted to point something out. Whenever you are using DAC (Downhill Assist Control), if you hit the brakes, you shut it off. It's designed for you to have both feet off the pedals and to simply steer. You've probably known this, but it's not common knowledge. Enjoy your stuff!
I thought that your bean score would have been higher than 5.0, I think you are very thorough in your reviews of vehicles and you did a great job on this Sequoya as well. I like that you’re 5’11” tall and 6’4” tall in heels. Being 6’7” tall I loved your assessment of the 3rd row seating, very fun! I think this is a solid contender for my next truck based on your review, thanks.
All of the details you pointed out in this video was amazing from the spec of the transmission, transfer case, engine to under the hood under the frame amazing i Instantly subscribe
I really like the aesthetic of the TRD pro Sequoia. I imagine you have driven your dad's 1st gen tundra, and those are impeccably nimble and capable. Same deal with the 1st gen Sequoia, and it is surprisingly quick for its size and power rating.
Your top is a nice match. I agree...bare bones all the way. My 1st gen 4runner has a new beefy 22RE...did I say beefy and 22RE in the same sentence? Be well youngin.....
Truck King RUclips channel tested this vehicle. All the pretty painted components did stop them from getting this truck stuck. Not enough ground clearance! It looks nice but it’s a lot of money for an SUV that’s supposed to be off road ready!
Watching that review I was quite positive your score board would be more in line with your Penguin personal take on the truck. The low rating is surprising.
Ms. Sarah, just so you know that some of us listen to you: you showed us Fox shocks and then referred to the suspension as Bilstein. :) In case anybody is interested, Fox is the parent company of Ridetech which is highly regarded in the aftermarket world. Nice review. :)

TFL truck took one of the new Tacoma’s out and it broke almost immediately going up a small rock.
I drove every road in Iceland in a Toyota Land Cruiser. I saw NO Land Rovers.
Sidenote: Toyota OEM Steelies have always been pretty reasonably priced even through a dealer.
Steel wheels are my favorite also.
Your reviews have the perfect balance between information and entertainment.
We love your reviews. Let the manufacturers continue to supply you with vehicles for content. Love the Celica build! ❤

This thing is absolutely beautiful, the Toyota's not so bad either.
I agree, I feel "more broke" when I look at vehicle prices.
I can’t afford the majority of vehicles I review.
I know…..vehicle prices have gotten so high that I almost cannot afford to look anymore.
I love the way engine sounds and I love color plus it looks fun to drive Sarah.
Sarah’s color coordinated reviews in red/blk 🚘🚗
Thanks as always. Anything Toyota guarantees I'd watch!

I believe that's reserved for the true off-road enthusiast vehicle.. the range rover.

The port injection is primarily for emissions at low revs; cleaning the back of the intake valves is a happy extra side effect

Well for a toyota with the TRD badge it surely delivers with its performance.
You can get a set of 17" black steel wheels for pretty cheap, they came on late model FJCruisers.
