    Thank you for explaining. I found Shan Zhang at age 67 have been doing it for 4 years now. Will do it forever. Incredible benefits. I looked everywhere for info on why it works so well. You make it clear.

    Thank you very much for this invaluable standing tree meditation. I have been practicing this first tutorial for some time now and do feel energy surges from bottom of feet. It really feels peaceful and still energetic. I just need to know if it is fine to do it barefooted or do I need to wear the shoes?

      Compared to rubber-based shoes, barefooted, wearing socks or straw tai chi shoes is better in allowing the flow of energy between your feet and the earth. just make sure that the feet are not wet or too cold.
