@@Kensington2714 I try to avoid HOAs to be honest. My family lives in a well kept neighborhood with a lot of new construction homes coming in and there are no additional fees to speak of.

I'm from Barcelona and I've never been out of Europe, it's awesome the amount of distance between houses and how much nature and space in general. Here, even in neighborhoods and little towns, everything tends to be more packed...
You'd get very bored though as there's nothing to do in the neighborhoods. Due to strict zoning, you would need to take a car to go anywhere or walk hours by dangerous roads with no sidewalk

These houses were built when land was cheap. Nowadays you're lucky if there's 10 feet between houses in new neighborhoods. The town I live in they're starting to build three smaller houses in areas where one house used to stand. :/

@@kingofmontechristo The ability for kids to be able to walk to the park or school by themselves is important. I have a family and would never subject my kids to living in some featureless suburb that has no walkable amenities. Glad my parents raised me in a pre-war suburb where businesses, schools, and parks were integrated into the community.
Those cicadas remind me of when I was a kid trying to play outside as long as I could before I got told to come inside.

They remind me of August days as a kid and was a sign to me that summer's almost over and school would be starting soon. I'd never hear the little buggers in June or July....only in August.
What I love about the US, especially in the suburbs like in this footage, is how everything looks organized and clean. I would love to always take a stroll early in the morning and late in the afternoon to dusk in a neighborhood like that! I can only imagine the serenity, the cool breeze, the sound of critters each walk. A perfect place to live and retire for me.

I live in Charlotte, NC, and what makes me stay in NC are the lush green trees and flowers and the beautiful neighborhoods. Everywhere is going to have areas of less desirable conditions, but North Carolina is truly beautiful.

My wife is from Phoenix Arizona. We decided to move to my homestate of NC a few months ago. We were taking the dogs on an evening walk when she goes "what is that NOISE?" I told her that they're cicadas. "They're deafening!"
She has since grown accustomed to it and likes them, but I hadn't thought about how strange these must sound in person for the very first time😆
My wife is from the UK and had never heard them either. I still recall the first time I heard them back in the 70s while camping in the Appalachians at the age of 3. They were deafening and I was mesmerized.

I always try to learn more about the USA online, and it's really hard to find the nice neighborhoods we see in movies and learn about the architecture. It's almost like they don't want to post about it. Thanks for the video. America is huge and I'm looking foward to be able to guess what state or region I'm at by looking at the houses.

There are literally tens of thousands of neighborhoods that look like this from Atlanta all the way up to Maine. Look on the east coast outside any major city, just use the filters on Zillow and you will find these neighborhoods. They are the classic “American” dream neighborhood, which there are a ton of on the east coast.

Its the LUT and lightroom garbage most people add in post. They are beautiful when used correctly but most overdo it for the "instagram/tiktok look" and end up making it unwatchable.

Everything is so well maintained and pristine
I've always loved the architecture of American homes, the typical wooden design. In Australia, our homes are very commonly brick which is good to deal with the warm climate, but it's nice to see the wooden ones that really give America it's identity as we know it.
My house is made of brick, not all American houses are made of wood.

not all houses is the US are made of wood, here in florida houses are made of concrete and are built to withstand category 3+ hurricanes, its mostly either the early 1900s wooden homes that have been properly maintained through out the years or the newly built suburbs like these

We have packed and tight spaces too, and the newest of neighborhoods are not built with space in mind anymore sadly. They are starting to cram more and more houses together with less trees, so older neighborhoods are preferable usually

So is this considered an affluent neighborhood in the US or these are just normal houses. I believe this is a normal neighborhood because the rich are in beverly hills with gates. I prefer this than the ones in beverly hills.
I often struggle to recall the exact prices of homes we pass during our walks, yet they're likely hovering around 1.5 million mark. My observations provide some insights:
- These homes are substantial, typically exceeding 4,000 square feet.
- Their location is highly sought after.
- We're currently navigating a peculiarly volatile economy.
From what I've gathered, the aftermath of 2020 dramatically reshaped the housing market. Both property values and interest rates have surged, effectively doubling. This phenomenon has peculiarly impacted the middle-class. Those who already owned homes saw their values soar, inadvertently elevating them to what's traditionally considered 'upper-class' property ownership. Conversely, middle-class individuals looking to purchase what were once average-priced homes are now priced out; these homes are often two to three times beyond their reach. Astonishingly, in some areas, even mobile homes command prices upwards of a million, largely influenced by location.
But this trend extends beyond real estate. Post-2020, essential items such as food, fuel, clothing, and vehicles have seen their prices double or even triple.
These are just my observations and reflections on the current state of affairs. I don’t own a home nor do I consider myself to be within any class other than doing my best along side my fellow humans and other creatures.

People are most probably inside their homes.
Probably eating dinner, doing homework with their kids, etc. Many people do walk.
Sadly we Americans in the suburbs don’t usually socialize much in the evenings. We just are consumed with dinner and bedtime routines

I never seen this type of society, home,neat and clean in india...😢why why why why.
Why nobody on the streets? Where are people, where are childrens which playing?
Its a big generalization, but as a whole, most of the US is like this. We're largely an individualistic society where people more or less prefer to be alone or with their close family and friends in private. That's why you don't usually see people outside in their neighborhoods. It doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but its not that common. There are plenty of closely-knit communities where neighbors socialize though. It could also be the time of day. Not sure what time it is in the video, but people could be on vacation, working , or other places.
It would be much nicer for children to hang out, without parental supervision.
When I was a kid, every day me and my friends after school we gather from the surrounding buildings to play football, ride rollerblades, bicycles, build a tree house, play "thieves and gendarmes", in the winter we freeze the track, then we skate, build a snow house, play cards, eat cherries on the tree, playing snowball against another group of children...

The USA, Canada and Japan have the worst houses. The houses in Europe are made of stone and/or concrete.

when you see suburbs from maps, they look horrible and dead with no access to anything but when you actually go to suburbs, it kind of changes your mind but still it's a little bit weird that you can access to people's cars and even look into their houses just by walking to them, cause there is no barrier.
