Chris and Tuerk are my favorite drivers, and this is why I like Chris so much. He is an absolute madman behind the wheel, but he is so open and excited to tell you everything that he knows, which is a TON. I feel like he should run a drift academy at some point, dropping that knowledge on the next generation of drifters. Awesome content as usual Larry. Tell the other scumbags to get some content up. What happened to the Home Garage stuff? Looking at you Dan and Hert!
Do you have any of your older pro car chassis? If not I personally would love to see anything you have built, daily drivers, practice missles, off roaders anything. Cant wait to see you kill it this year!
I'd like to see what you did to that M45! Cd009 swap? Plus some other bricker brak I bet? I'm trying to swap a VK56VD in my 350 any advice? The car is un molested, the engine is on a stand, needs some work. From a 12' M56.
@33:16 the left bank turbo manifold is glowing while the right side is completely the opposite. That is where the individual cylinder tuning Forsberg was talking about is key. For reliable high horse power in engines with stand alone ecu's.
KILLER VIDEO. HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING CHRIS FOR YEARS. LOVE SEEING THE PROGRESSION OF HIS PROGRAM OVER THE YEARS. MISS THE DRIFT GARAGE DAYS. LOL. BEST OF LUCK THIS COMING SEASON WHEN EVER IT STARTS.
I'm really pumped Chris has stuck with Z's for so long and kept the engines Nissan!!! I've had my 350z since 08' and I'm working on putting a VK56VD in it for a grip set up. I'd love to have a cage like his and a AEM display, oh and the Motec switch panel. Also I've been a fan for a long time and I bought the Drift Alliance DVD way back.
I may be biased as a JDM guy, but this channel is the best overall product of the Hooniverse. Keep up the great work Larry and crew. Fantastic content.
Good way to spend quarantine time listening to chris talking tech stuff about his cars, he tell it so good that i dont skip any part of the video. Great content as usual
Love the interview and great setup on that Z. I have an 05 G35 Sedan 6spd with the Rev Up currently. Some day I'm planning to either build this motor or swap an HR and go turbo.
Awesome interview. Larry is always enthusiastic and humble. And Chris is just great to listen to and matches the excitement and walking through everything
Drifting is requires some funding. That’s crazy, I appreciate the amount of detailed information that gives an overall number of what it takes to drift at a pro level.
I was there for that story mad mike almost got to use it for qualifying. I ran my truck in the lot to get them wood to lift the car to get it on jack stands. Then he was DQ'ed ......
That's because he already used his mx5 for practice before right? I'd prefer more relaxed rules like d1nz where car borrowing is more common practice. I mean it's drifting, cars getting bashed every now and then, as long as someone doesn't deliberately bring second car as spare car every rounds.
@@ardijanuar2036 thats what they said was becuase he had used the car for the first practice that was the car but at first thats not what ryan sage had said to them in the pit i was standing right there they told Mike that he broke the start line so it counted as the run then they changed it to the whole practice b.s....... i had my z at the event and i was around the paddock all weekend and rumor was that someone (another team) was complaining..... but thats a rumor........
Amberionik yep. The HGK Eurofighter’s have something similar, their back mounted radiator fans help expel the smoke backwards, that’s why they look like they make so much smoke
The smoke effect would come a far second to the aero benefits, closed off wheel wells are like parachutes, and can add lift that fights against the downforce
@@paulwade5853 FD drivers aren't moving fast enough or in the correct direction for lift generated by wheel wells to be an issue. Especially when the rear end is hollowed out and there's a six-foot-wide wing sitting aft of the rear axle.
All the money you guys spent on that car and you still just welded the diff? I could be wrong but that wheel spin at 0:19 has me thinking you guys cheaped out on the diff.
I just am seating I'm aww of the knowledge he is carrying in one brain. Too bad I live in south georgia i need my car right and since Dan from batlgrounl left , I have been dead in the water. Took my car to Missouri ruined car. Can't find anyone to get me back right.
IMHO the car doenst look like a car from the top of FD, more like a first car after playing NFS: Underground. Forsbergs Z's before looked much more muscular and complete.. I love carbon, but when you look at the car and the gaps are diffrent all over the place, feels like it was bought on Aliexpress.
One cylinder working 20% harder than the rest - NO WAY that much, gross exageration, more like 3% harder than the rest unless the manifolds are utter garbage in their design. And if a cylinder is working harder and we assume richer than stoich because turbo (for cooling effect) there is NO WAY you'd pull fuel OUT of that cylinder to make it work less hard - that would cause gross detonation and kill it fast. Chances are you'd add a bit of fuel in, or pull a bit of timing out to achieve the desired even torque contribution. But this is for entertainment anyway and he knew he was talking sh*t when he said it, so, okay, whatever :-D No surprise about the weight at the back doing that. For general car performance you want all your weight at a pin sized point in the centre exactly midway between all of the wheels, then it will turn effortlessly. The last thing you typically want is lots of weight way back and way forward, but in reality packaging usually wins - so the changes he's describing are subtle ones based on his own driver feedback. Cool that he gets involved in the engineering side. Kinda lame that there's a lot of off the shelf stuff in there, though. But whatever works for him, overall, is what lets him keep doing it, so carry on :-D

He's like the Fielding Shredder of the pro scene lol
Dude I totally agree with you, but at the end of the day we all gettin free content and should be thankful for what they do, s/o Larry and Hoonigan
He did actually, he was the drift coach for Gran Turismo Academy in 2012
Thanks for your support! Which of my cars would you like to see more of?
Do you have any of your older pro car chassis? If not I personally would love to see anything you have built, daily drivers, practice missles, off roaders anything.
Cant wait to see you kill it this year!
Chris Forsberg datsun is my favorite from the fleet 😍
What's the story on the c10 back there?
I'd like to see what you did to that M45! Cd009 swap? Plus some other bricker brak I bet?

It would be neat to see old footage and hear stories from the early days. Plus any cool stories you have from fd about anything memorable.
Every video from now on for 5 straight years: This was filmed before the covid-19 quarantine.
Eveything is pros and cons; in life and in cars.
-Chris Forsberg 2020
That's actually a triple entendre

Larry speaks like an asian William Shatner. Love his work and videos!

AutoFocus is becoming my favorite channel! Keep it up Larry!
We need a autofocus on that 86/Ferrari mashup.
It's a well known build tho... You can find it on the gumout channel I think
Amazing build, such great attention to detail, so little original 370 left, but wow, what a car...!
When y'all gonna bring Xavier wulf to the burnyard I know hert likes him he wears hollowsquad masks
Jax Goodwin big facts i wanna see this bad
I’m also putting a VR in my Z, but Chris always takes it to the next level! For sure will consider a VR38 swap next time! 🔥🔥🔥
Can`t wait on an episode of Autofocus of Dylan`s BMW!
Want to get this guy talking? Ask about his cars! Very cool for the driver to know their car!
Love the interview and great setup on that Z. I have an 05 G35 Sedan 6spd with the Rev Up currently. Some day I'm planning to either build this motor or swap an HR and go turbo.

So stoked for Gridlife Alpine Horizon this year. Hope to actually be driving this year.
The TURNING RADIUS! One of the hidden benefits of a drifting racecar - no giant 3 points! Lmao
Definitely one hole is working 20% harder than the rest.
We Need a Video of the M45. I Own a 06' M45 Sport myself that I'm building and would absolutely love to see what Forsburg has done to his
Drifting is requires some funding. That’s crazy, I appreciate the amount of detailed information that gives an overall number of what it takes to drift at a pro level.
Supposed to be an Autofocus on a 370Z, yet here I am looking at the FT-86/FR-S in the rafters.

That red car in the back with yellow lights. If you know you know!! Sick ass car
Are the vents in the rear fenders there so the smoke can come out?

Feels like my drift IQ went up a few points listening to chris talk about the builds
Caleb Bonvillain Foreal! I love nerd talk
The moment you realize two runs burns through 30-50lbs of consumables. Thats insane!!!
Song at the end???? Nice vid
Awesome built 👍. Sold my 350z because it’s auto and DE engine. 😪.
All the money you guys spent on that car and you still just welded the diff? I could be wrong but that wheel spin at 0:19 has me thinking you guys cheaped out on the diff.
BOBimus Rex, I noticed that right away as well, maybe the diff still needs to be broken in. The diff definitely is acting as if it’s welded.
I want to be Tony Angelo when I grow up.
Have y'all seen the Twinpala?
Damn is that thing mean sounding.
There is no way y'all filmed this many videos before the lockdown but I don't give a fuck. Larry is the man
I love ur new outro 2 your videos straight dope sauce bro
Engine cover off and thank you 🤙🏽
looks so much better bare carbon with no wing
I think it was Mad Mike the one who needed a car to qualify.
The way the hood and front fenders mold together makes it look so thicc lol

Lovely work with these Vqs
Dilan vs hux! That would be a sight to see!
