He is forgiving sons in Jesus's Holy Name, not his own...As for evidence, as Christian, you need a better argument. I'm not claiming to have it, but throwing out the absence of your personal experience of Adolf Hitler as a justification by which someone could theoretically deny Hitler's existence isn't helpful (I know you are just using a well-recorded historical figure to demonstrate your thought). There are other examples of the historicity of Christ. But even if you can prove that, you have to make a Divine claim about Our Lord, because although its clear Jesus existed, that in and of itself says little of Jesus. Look then to how a first century Jew would have understood the Gospels and the teaching of the Apostles. Therein sits the claim to divinity. Have you ever really thought about religion and seen that it’s just a primitive form of law simply there to keep the peace and it does this by having sins and if you commit these sins you will be eternally punished and the reason why you probably haven’t done this is because I bet one of these sins is questioning your god, so I hope that will try to think about your religion as a whole and what the overall point of it is.
