Hello Father, I am 13, and i believe that I would like to be a priest. Ever since I started thinking about jobs of what I would want to do and study in college, there has been this nudging thought about priesthood, hopefully one day I can fulfill my dream in becoming a priest.
+GamerCraft 34 I am the exact same! I am 13 as well, and I am really hearing a call from God to become a Roman Catholic Priest. I even have 2 books I got for free giving information of the Catholic Priesthood for those who wan to beocme a Catholic Priest.
I am a Muslim and I loved your video. It actually brought me memory of how I wanted to enter the priesthood years back. Catholics have been the best people in my life. I have many catholic families who are the sweetest people. I am glad to have had the experience with catholicism ❤
McGannahan Skjellyfetti What a way to lose your time don't you think so? Don't you have any other thing to do apart from trolling in Catholic videos? Rethink
everyone is called to be a priest anyone can heal, spread the gospel why? because if Jesus is in us and we have faith we can with only the power of Jesus
@Michael Caza-Schonberger It's a mikveh don't fret it, Jews and Catholic have practiced it for ages. its our tradition... you follow your particular founder's tradition and even those bozos could not decide among themselves if baptising infants is ok... So here is some advise... go convince your own protestant fellows to you opinion and then you can lets us know how that goes ok?
deusimperator you comment out of ignorance. The Biblical Greek Baptizo means immersion, not sprinkling! The eastern rite and the orthodox have it right, however the infant baptism isn't Biblically accurate. Infant baptism wasn't even mentioned until the mid 100s!! You sir need to do you research before you comment! You resorting to name calling only proves your immaturity, ignorance, and arrogance!
@Michael Caza-Schonberger Perhaps if you had taken the time to attend a Catholic christening (that is what we traditionally call baptism) you might have noticed that we do not “sprinkle” as you not so eloquently stated. We follow the ancient formula of baptism set forth in the Didache which set forth the formula as to how a baptism is to be carried out. Catholics, ordinarily, pour water over the head thrice in accordance with the formula set forth in the Didache followed by the anointing with chrism. I am glad that you consider the Eastern Rites (patriarchates under the pope), Orthodox and do not forget the Oriental baptisms valid. After all, all these Churches follow the formula provided by the Didache. All these Churches do baptize infants. At this point of time, I would like to remind you that Luther and Calvin were proponents of infant baptism. Calvin went so far as to claim that those who deprived an infant of baptism openly violated the will of the Lord. We had to wait until the fourth generation of reformers to claim that infant baptism was anti-biblical. Given that the Didache was written by Jewish Catholics (see the Jewish Encyclopedia on the subject) who sought provide a catechize gentile catechumens and bring them into the faith through this mikveh would never have considered not baptizing infants and children, after all this was the Jewish custom when a family or members of a family converted. Come on now, you know I am hardly ignorant, I am a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. ;) Instead of wondering over and poking the Catholic bear and rattling your sabre at us, would it not be more virtuous to convince your protestant brothers no to baptize infants and having them sing from the same song book before venturing an opinion against the Catholics. Of course, I understand herding cats and having them meow in unison might not be successful, but you should try before trying to convince Catholics. I was baptized within seven hours of being born. Michael, the Catholic Church is your home, you just don’t know it... yet.
@@stanleyobasi5543 You need to contact your local bishop and vocation director. They will help guide you in the process. Be assured it is a long journey and you will need to spend a long time in prayer and discernment. But you should start with your local church.

I will keep you in my prayer Father John. Once again thank you for all of your sacrifices, hard work, dedication, and especially your holy vocation.
+Logan Holly No, I obviously don't "know" god. But neither do you. But I have the honesty to admit that. Mankind invented gods, semi-gods, goddesses in staggering numbers and since time immemorial, angry gods, benign gods, revengeful, jealous gods. And it never occurred to you that "god" maybe a projection of whatever quality you, people consider properties of the divine. They all believed that they "knew" their respective gods and what they wanted. Maybe they want a human sacrifice? That used to be a staple of divine desire. How do I break it to you.... You are imagining things. You add that to the fact that there is no proof that religion improves the human condition or humans themselves. Too often it just makes the self-righteous, intolerant and murderous. Don't get me started on the history of the catholic church and how appalling its representatives to this day behaved. So there.
Brenden Fitzpatrick yes ur in my prayers its awesome very much an amazing vocation i love my preists i was lost but now found and its thanks to my preist.
This video is very inspirational. The church has been through so much bad publicity over the last decade that it is no wonder why people are doubtful about those who serve God with their heart and soul. I am glad you took this path and answered the call, Father Muir. You are a shining example of the many good men in the church who are just, faithful and good. It is also wonderful to see you rehabbing the image of the priest and connecting with people in a way that is authentic and attentive. The church has a long way to go to convince the masses and to repair the image that has sullied it so badly. But, Father Muir, I know that with priests like you to represent the priesthood, I have faith that the church will keep pulling forward and overcoming strife. God Bless.
As a straight woman I realise being a Catholic priest is unavailable for me as an option. It is something I used to feel excluded from and to be honest I can not find an appropriate word for how I truly describe how I feel. I adore Jesus. I got married in a Catholic Church to a very kind man who used to go regularly to Church to Mass. We are not the people I expected us to be in so e ways it has been a lonely step learning curve bringing up a son and a daughter who did not see the Catholic Church as a place to remain as life hurt them badly and the way the path of life led us is the outcome of how we treated the Lord. Before the Coronavirus I have returned to Eucharist Adoration, Confession, and Holy Communion. I felt grateful to realise I was a repentant sinner but saved by the Blood of Jesus. I am staying away from crowds and churches and shops while all the scary virus crisis goes on around me. It feels the right way to cope. I study my faith from Franciscanfriars Homilies and draw solace and strength from the Lord through these sermons. I enjoyed your video of a day in your life Father and if that is how it is most days you are a model of a hard working God respecting Catholic priest. God bless your life and the influence you have on others. I pray the believers in Our Lord stand strong in their faith in Him as we suffer in these times of testing and sudden climate shifts. God bless.

Braedon I know this message comes long after you posted this reply, and you may never see it, but I was really impacted by your comment. I genuinely pray that you have been able to make room for Him, above all else. That's not often easy. St. Augustine strayed far from a life of integrity, until he didn't. Those of us who sin but ultimately yearn for a closer relationship with God are in good company. But I hope in the year that has passed you have discovered even more thoroughly the truth of God's goodness, and that you know He loves you without fail. Good luck with everything.

Thank you for this video! It's wonderful to see 3 holy priests in our diocese ministering to individuals from all backgrounds. The ASU Newman Center / University of Mary campus has come a long way in the 5 years since this video was made! :)
Thank you for this insight into what it can be like to be a Catholic priest. Prayers for you and more men to hear and respond to the call of Our Lord Jesus.

Just saw this now and it's insightful. I always thought of priests of highly stoic but you are very loose and easy going as is your lifestyle; thanks for sharing this; God bless you brother in Christ ❤️
I just turned 16 today, and i'm thinking of being a priest from this video and the pure oy but also guidance and love that they show to their flock as the shepards of the church.
Hope and pray that those who are devout at your university look into starting a Seven Sisters of the Apostolate. It is a group where each women commits on her designated day one holy hour for her priest. If she chooses, she will also do sacrifices and/or offer up a Mass for the priest. It has become a fast growing ministry through out our country and I believe through out the world. We started one in our parish over a year ago and our priests are so so thankful for this support and and feel it really has helped them. But obviously one doesn’t have to belong to this ministry to pray for priests in this way but just a plea for people to pray and make sacrifices and/or pray a holy hour for your priest and all those in religious life. There are too many people who do not think those in the priesthood and religious life do not need our prayers. I was one of them several years ago. It has been such an honor for me to be a member of the Seven Sisters Apostolate and to be able to do this for our priest. God Bless all who reads this.❤️

I love this guy. God bless the world 🙏
Amazing! Will we be seeing a day in the life of a sister soon?!
LizE that's a good idea, if like to see more videos on the lives of the different groups in catholism, life of a monk, life of a nun, life of a bishop etc.
LizE yesss. Would love to see that.
There is some interviews, etc with nuns, too.
My neighbors thought I should have been one, they called me Bob Pope.like the late entertainer Bob Hope.
That'd be cool. My sister wants to be a nun.
Thank you for this video! It's wonderful to see 3 holy priests in our diocese ministering to individuals from all backgrounds. The ASU Newman Center / University of Mary campus has come a long way in the 5 years since this video was made! :)
Fr. Muir keep the Faith going...God loves you

Thank you for this insight into what it can be like to be a Catholic priest. Prayers for you and more men to hear and respond to the call of Our Lord Jesus.
I have seriously considered being a priest for a while. I'm 20 years old and my great grandfather was a priest.
Evan Paluch He's not a real priest😑
Father Thomas Yeah right. Stop impersonating people and get a life.
How could he be your grandfather if he's a priest?
Shizz2333 The Chaldean Catholic Church allows marriage.

I just turned 16 today, and i'm thinking of being a priest from this video and the pure oy but also guidance and love that they show to their flock as the shepards of the church.
At 14, I feel called to be an Orthodox priest, maybe even a monk
Praying for all the priests right now in The Catholic Church and people that are considering to becoming priests .

Please, please, please (if at all possible) do this with a holy sister, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one intrigued by what that would like.
You're not!
I pray more and more the glory of our JESUS fall on you. Amen!

I believe God is calling me to be a priest.
Malik Ore Be careful, constant prayer will tell you if it’s god calling, or your own mind calling? A deep relationship with him will let you know
I like this video so much ! Priesthood means living 100%, abundantly . Enjoy your priesthood father ! Enjoy, as we say in Greece, your cross !
I love all my priests. GOD bless you all.
God Bless Father, keep up the good work.
Jogging on cement is really hard on the joints.
God Bless all who reads this.❤️
Really it is a blessing to be a priest! I was a capuchin brother back in 2016 then I left due to family situation. But still I have spark to become but it isn't possible now!
I bet being a priest in the mid summer time is beautiful, taking in Gods beauty and the warmth of his love for all of his children ^^
Let's pray for vocation among youths
