I am leaving Protestantism and migrating to the Catholic Church. Since I converted in 2020, I have felt the desire to be Catholic, but I resisted and even became anti-Catholic. But now it's different, I'll go all the way, because I've learned that the Church has always been Catholic. And I intend to be a priest, with God's permission.
Alleluia...may God bless youbon your journey of humble and courageous discernment. I love that Catholic means universal and Christ founded a universal church.
God could use the algorithm if He wants to. He works in mysterious ways! I'm finishing my last semester of seminary in Rome and I wouldn't trade this life experience and vocation for anything.
The same thing happened to me, and is still - I’m currently in the application process to enter seminary next fall! These kinds of prompts can be one indicator that you should explore the possibility that you might be called to the priesthood more deliberately.
I pray daily for priests- a rosary for priests!!! If you are not praying for priests, do start. Thank you dear Father for your faithful service. God bless.
Yes I also feel that way. He is such a good and holy Christian…. And an admirable Catholic Priest. I wish to kiss his hand in reverence. Thank you to Our Blessed Lord for granting his vocation.
I’m a college student in a bible study and we just talked about the women who touched Jesus’ cloak. I was really touched by that passage! Although the doctors could not help at that time, the woman who was sick for so long just had faith. She said ‘Yes’ to Jesus. Her faith saved her! God’s mercy is so powerful. God’s love is everlasting. It’s so cool to see that moment as an image! A recent phrase I’ve been praying is Hail the Cross, Only Hope. ❤
I am prepping for Anglican ordination into priesthood and hugely admire my Roman Catholic brothers and sisters. God bless you Father and your holy ministry.
Sorry to bust your bubble, but there is unfortunately no apostolic succession for Anglicans anymore. The Sacrament of Holy Orders has therefore no reality in the Church of England, and as rough as it may sound, any person "ordained" there is just a man (or woman...) disguised as a priest. "To be knee-deep in History is to cease to be a Protestant" - St. John Henry Newman
Impressive young priest. Need lots more like him, a guy who clearly could have fit in and succeeded in secular society as a lay person, but chose this vocation. People take notice when a regular, good looking guy becomes a priest.
Wish people would notice when ANY man becomes candidate for the priesthood…..not because he is good looking. I would prefer they be ordinary ,nondescript in looks but in having hearts and minds open and obedient to God and the vows of taken by priests.
Father, thank you for this beautiful video. Our world needs to see and to hear more about being instruments of God's love, justice, and mercy. God bless you, Robert.
So well done. God bless you, Fathers, and thank you for your generous response to your vocation. God gives me hope for the Western Church through you. That ending sequence built on the Canticle of Simeon was tear-jerking. Praised be Jesus Christ.
Som’t know how I got here, but this greatly helped me remember even the “frontline” Brothers ministering to us at mass, confession and other sacramental duties are people too. I know that sounds insulting, but I mean in the sense of, not praying from morning to evening, but living life as a devotional prayer of thanksgiving to God. I’ve lost confidence in prayers with constant anxiety of losing the discipline from my zealous stint, but I feel more at peace knowing whatever vocation, whoever I meet or whatever I do, I can always find peace in Christ.
I loved this, I would love more versions of this video. Maybe focusing on different aspects of the day or week I loved seeing the prayer life aspects. Great work!
Thank you for sharing...this was very nice to see. There is a great episode of the old show MASH and it is about the priest not feeling helpful but he learns just being a man of God helps everyone....M*A*S*H: Season 7, Episode 15 Kind regards, Michael from Georgetown Prep
I used to be Catholic left the church a few years ago and went to Russian orthodoxy I pray for the day that the Catholic Church will be reunited with the Orthodox Church once again so sad to see the split this was a great video
13:44 I have no idea when "RCIA" changed to "OCIA." When did that happen? As a cradle Catholic, I shouldn't HAVE to know this but for the sake of evangelizing, I should know this info so that I can let non-Catholics know. And for what does the O stand? I have no idea. And is "RCIA" still used at some parishes?
O for Order. In 2021, US bishops' voted in favor of a name that better reflects the Latin term for the whole process, but I don't know of there were other considerations or even changes to the process itself. Most laypeople still call it RCIA, unless they were involved in the program themselves
2:45 This is where many Catholics do not understand that when the priest is holding up Jesus (consecrated host), we should be gazing at Him, Jesus. I bow my head when the priest bows while saying the words of consecration. Then when the priest raises Jesus, while the bells ring three times, I raise my head to look at Jesus. Then I bow my head again when the priest genuflects. And I repeat the same when the priest consecrates the wine into the blood of Jesus. 🙏🏼❤️🔥✝️ When I raise my head to look at Jesus, although I am gazing at Jesus, I still have peripheral vision so I do notice that many people are still bowing their heads when the Priest raises the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Every time we look at Jesus in the Eucharist, our level in Heaven rises. ⚪🙏🏼❤️🔥✝️
I do the same, and also during the elevation I whisper: my Lord and my God (for the Body of Christ), My Hope and my Salvation (for the Blood of Christ)
@@jeannebouwman1970 Yes, I pray the same thing thrice, "My Lord and my God." And for the Blood of Jesus, I pray, "Jesus my mercy, cover me with your blood." 🙏🏼
WHAT AN "OVER-PRIVILEGED" LIFE !?! 🙄 I WONDER IF "PASTOR" KNOWS THE STRUGGLES OF LIFE FOR THE WHOLE REST OF "US" ... THAT'S TO SAY THOSE WHO ARE NOT "OVER-PRIVILEGED" LIKE HIM !!! 😖
The statue is just a symbol and picture to remember for Jesus..Just like human now,we have so many pictures in our home to remember..that picture in the church ,we didnt say is a real God its just a symbol for them when we imagine thier looks and life in the bible..

I will, can you tell us your first name?
I don't know how the algorithm picked up on it, but I've been getting tons of day in the life for seminarians and priests.
Pray about it. God speaks through all things
I’m a seminarian in Australia and the same thing happened to me as well.
God could use the algorithm if He wants to. He works in mysterious ways! I'm finishing my last semester of seminary in Rome and I wouldn't trade this life experience and vocation for anything.

We're very blessed at St James to have such great priests assigned and In Residence here.
Greetings from Galway Ireland. Very nice Father, wishing you many happy and healthy years in your vocation.
Really beautiful video, Fr Heisler is a great priest. Also happy to see Fr Isenberg, another great priest of the Diocese of Arlington!
Holy man. A real man. Thank you father for saying yes to our Lord. 🤍✝️

What a beautiful video. Thank you, Father, for doing this!
Wonderful video Father. I grew up at St James but now in Tennessee. A most beautiful church, and the resident priests are fantastic.
Beautiful and well made. Let’s share this as much as we can
Love it. Great priests featured in this.
Beautiful video. This is a quote from Father Frank De Voy: The spirituality of the Diocesan priesthood is inextricably linked to the community.
❤

Very cool.
Kudos for doing a male only Bible study.
