Outstanding work PB you have earned the bragging rights on this one, that back cage is excellent . You are right with the 15mm smooth tryes, good luck with the bin lorry I have one that needs doing . All the best Martin 👍
That's it,now I'm sourcing one of these Trucks to restore as you are a truly great inspiration. I find that O rings size 15mm outer and 8mm inner diameter are perfect for these size hubs common to a wide range of the Dinky castings. The aftermarket tyres are ludicrously expensive and the Orings are the perfect for. Love you're restorations. Tommy in Dublin 👍👑🙏🏆
Gosh, thank you. I was super pleased with how this one came out, and yeah paying $10 for four O rings cos they’re in a bag marked ‘reproduction tyres’ isn’t much fun lol.
@@PBsRetroRestorations Hi, Could you tell me where you sourced the Orings incl the size please. 8mm inner and 15mm outer 3.5 mm thickness is it. I've been on ebay and it's a bloody minefield😭🤣🤣 Much appreciated,Tommy in DUBLIN Ireland
@@tommytippee2437 I’ve had a look back to when I got them off eBay, and all it called them was ‘15mm Early Dinky / Meccano Tyres’ The seller I bought them from doesn’t seem to have them any more, they were $5.75 AU. I can measure the ones that are on it Tommy and let you know if you like.
@@PBsRetroRestorations your right it did. I tried (with some mediocre seccess) to convert the cage one to the high sided tipper as used in the 1957 film Helldrivers. The tipper rod is available from Model-supplies
Perfect renovation. The trailer frame is a world championship. Best wishes
Thanks Paul! That means a lot to me given your extraordinary skills.
Nice restoration, details and paint job 👍👍
Yes I was especially pleased with this one and how it came out, thanks Joe.

Great work as always!
Thanks Yannick! I'm still very proud of this one, everything worked for me. I still haven't put the tow hook on it yet though 😬
Very nice indeed , I have this one to do soon
Thank you, this is one I’m still very proud of.
A+ PB
Thank you, I am particularly proud of how this one came out.
That was the flatbed tipper version. The cage version had 2 lugsthat fitted into the cab. It could be converted by grinding the lugs off
I thought the tipper ones had a lever for the tipping mechanism? Hope you liked the video.
