looks so much better. :) sound was good, too. the crooked body seems to have been stepped on, which could explain why the ramp slid out. one solution could have been to use two shorter axles with big mushrooms and connect them in the center with a piece of brass tubing. would have saved you a liter of blood or two. XD the replacement glass es I've seen all don't come with that tongue that keeps the ramp up in place. maybe because the replacements are made of resin, not polystyrene... but that leaves the problem of how to add a spring to that ramp. one of these days I'll experiment with a cable tie glued to the floor. a white one shouldn't be too obvious. or maybe a black one? I have the same truck, all tyres on, only one crack in the roof. but still playworn. I have a feeling the shrinking of them hubs comes from UV rays exposure; the more it gets played with outside, or the longer it resides on the windowsill, the more the hubs shrink. even the paints would fade; I have a scout car in mint condition, only that the yellow has faded to a dull tan over half of the casting. :P sometims when putting these together it makes one wonder what tricks they had at the assembly line... surely this can't go together? XD

Restorations are tricky far more often than do-ups/mods cos of not having the wiggle room to get out of the cacky. It certainly happens to me more often than not. Still, it makes for great entertainment watching someone else go through it......and with good grace to boot. Nice one, Blue! Keep 'em coming!

Awesome production quality on this video, Peter. Might I be so bold as to suggest, two or more applications of floor polish on your wind screens. Also, don't be afraid to let the first application soak in a bit. Other than that, you did a nice job of that transporter.

I like it. Well done. Those machines bring back fond memories. Would love to see a coke machine from the 50s era. You lift the lid, the bottles suspended on a rack in ice water. You moved the bottle to a pocket area, money in slot and lifted the bottle out. We worked a way to get 2 for price of one. I don't know why they called it a coping saw. I could never cope with them.

nicely done, even if it fought back a little. :) that repaint isn't half bad, really. they overpainted the chippings, but so did I as a kid, at first without taking them apart first as well. so, there. :) nice 3D stuff. those TV sets demand a nice decoration, though. :) 2:45 story of my youth! I had some long decals wrap around my finger completely, only because I overstretched them a tiny bit while pulling the paper out... and as with CA glue, you gotta be fast, they stick together right away. :P as for the rollgate working so hard, it comes from paint on where it goes. the plastic runs hard on naked zinc already, but fresh paint makes it stick to it. I'd add some graphite off a soft pencil 2B or 4B, where it's running on, that ought to help with it moving easily. same with door hinges like Majorette had, or older Dinky. I'd mask that area to leave it clean, I had doors stick close because the paint wasn't 100% dry. as for the box, your method might be inefficient or something, but if the result looks like it should, it ain't a bad method at all. :) there is more than one way to success. ^^

Lovely job PB and just as good as factory, if not better.......pretty as a picture 👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻 From when the present Mrs Septic and I first got together until the mid 90s, we hired our telly from Radio Rentals as we couldnt afford to buy one. Many did and you used to see their vans everywhere. Just don't get me started on the TV licence......
