I wanna know more about Zach's magnet implant. It's something I've considered doing for a long time. Looks like it's healed very well. Zach, if ya see this and don't mind me asking, how long have you had the magnet, and what do you like and dislike about it?
Possible but if you look around 8 minutes he doesn't appear to be holding anything. I've also seen another video where he casually tossed a razor blade that stuck there, and that's a pretty common spot for magnet implants.
@@sommelierofstench it's implanted. It actually showed up way back in one of the money pit miata videos, no clue if it showed up before but that's where I first saw it.
I would think the worst part about having a magnet implant would be the fact you can't have an MRI anymore. Also you have to worry about really strong magnets (hence why you can't get an MRI) tearing the implant out of your skin or crushing your skin between it and the implant. just buy a magnetic wrist strap FFS.
Speaking as a mechanic, the two tools you will NEVER go wrong buying as gifts for someone who works as a mechanic, a pocket sized flashlight, or, a telescoping magnet. The two things I ALWAYS kept in my pocket in the shop.
I’m a carpenter and the magnetic wristband has come in handy for me a few times. Mostly if I have three different types of fasteners in my pouch, makes it easier than digging around in the pouch for the specific fastener I need at the moment.
I'm ex-contractor (done carpentry among many other things as well), I'd imagine it's easier to find the right one from the pouch, as I recognize the different bits and sizes by feel at this point. Can't say for sure though as I never tried the thing.
They aren't bad when working over your head on a ladder at home I've found. Not super applicable for automotive work, but not constantly moving around on the ladder to find the right screw/nut/bolt is nice.
As a carpenter of 30+ years myself I have to say that you are not a carpenter if you would use something like that. It might come in handy for a handyman but not a carpenter lol

The Scuderia Ferrari line from Ray-Ban is honestly not great. I recently changed my spectacles, so I looked at prescription glasses frames they had in the same line; one was cool with carbon fibre handles, and the rest just had one red accent, and some of them had a really tiny Ferrari logo, but that's about it; nothing exceptional about them over the regular Ray-Ban frames.
@@swaroopajityou mean to tell me an overpriced, branded piece of sh*t pair of sunglasses arent any better then regular sun glasses…. Im SHOCKED, shocked i say!!!!
The telescopic magnetic flashlight really speaks to me. I'd buy three of them. One for the workshop, car and one in the underseat of my motorcycle. Definitely a tool you won't use a lot, but you'll be happy to have it when needed. Also those Ray Bans really suit Justin well and the Joaquin frames look good on Nolan too.
I have one of those magnetic flashlight telescoping things, it's less useful than I anticipated because the head is too large to easily snake into tiny places and the magnet sticks to everything it shouldn't on the way in.
@@ducatisti good point, but the larger head won't be an issue for my bike because it doesn't really have much for plastic fairings or panels. As for the car and workshop I just need a flashlight and the magnetic reach is just a nice bonus.
Little warning about the extendey magnetic lights: the light's just button-cell powered so it runs out very fast, you don't want that to be your emergency thing, but they are fairly handy. :)
lr44 batteries are dirt cheap and by running out very fast...I dunno I got one, have been using it for months off and on. still going strong. Hell I bought a 40 pack of LR44 batteries for 8 bucks. I'm finding that they are used more commonly than I thought.
My parents bought me that extendable flashlight/magnet tool when I was up for Christmas last year. Used it to grab a hood pin while still at their place for the holiday. 10/10 would recommend.
No joke, used the universal socket a few times for some odd problems and it worked! It's one of those things that I rarely use but in those situations it's been great.
2:20 The fact that the stick shift shirt is labeled as Amazon‘s choice for “Ford ranger shirt” 😂 As someone with a manual, Ford ranger, that’s absolutely hilarious 😂
...not sure what's hilarious. I have driven a manual ford ranger and a manual s-10. They got great gas mileage. My manual Challenger R/T is a lot less forgiving in that department.
I randomly came across a RUclips video comparing a bunch of flashlights. The winner ended up being the Nicron N7. It's super portable, is magnetic on the back so you can stick it to a car (for example the inside of your hood while you check on something at night) and the head of it swivels to put it into the proper orientation. I don't even work on cars that much but I keep this in my car and it's already come in handy more than once. It's way more usable than your phones flashlight, a lot brighter and casts the light much further. Definitely recommend checking out r/flashlight for people that spend way too much time looking into this stuff lmao. An actual proper flashlight is also handy for a guy to have around and this one was under $15 I think. Definitely recommend keeping a good knife (Morakniv makes an awesome one.) Both things are useful in a variety of ways and barely take up any space.
Ok, I've liked James since I found the chanel, but his response to the "Real Cars Shift Themselves" shirt, I cannot love him any more. I'm really not a hardcore car guy, all these guys make it fun and welcoming, but James truly solidified that with his attitude. Gatekeeping sucks. Thanks for being so welcoming.
Hey, blinker fluid is a thing, it goes into the indicator bulb of some commercial vehicles like forklift and the inside part of the indicator rotates and it need fluid
My GF got me the "best dad ever" socket....... and an "I love you" socket. So I got two of them at the same time. Lol I feel like they are more of a novelty item. Anyways love your videos.
I got the blinker fluid for my wife, and she thought it was hilarious. She displays it on a shelf with a bunch of her tools for her truck. She has a 1975 IH pickup with the 6.4 liter that she's always working on. Also, she uses that magnet bracelet thing to hold nuts, bolts, and washers while she's under the truck.
Gifts from Amazon sound great. They have twice the suprise. 2:15 That could have been a carburrito. :] That flash light is really good, got one of those myself too. Granny could keep her knitting tools on that wristband.
"Have a flashlight in your car" - I have a d cell maglite that lives in my car, and I've had the same one since my first car 10 years ago, absolutely has easily come in handy enough times to be considered worth it. It for sure isn't something I grab every day, but when I need a real flashlight, and not the little one on my phone, it's so nice to have
My wife got me the wrist band magnet. It really helped me with holding screws when installing light kits. But, I started using mag base bins & now use the wrist band as a holster on the side of my lift. It's perfect for holding a pistol. Lol
Ive had one of those Universal sockets for about 5 years now..I'm unsure if it's a different brand from those, but mine works pretty well, it's saved my ass in a pinch before too. It's not something I'd suggest to attach to a breaker bar, or to do anything ridiculous with, although I have successfully removed some horrible bolts with it. For light duty stuff, around the house, the one I have is fine. Doesn't hurt to have it in your tool bag. I will say it's not "Universal "though.
I have been using the Master Blaster Sidekick for 10 years and still runs like a top. Very durable and definitely worth the money. Great videos, Donut!
Glad they love the Blaster Sidekick. Metropolitan Vacuum is a well known brand in the detailing world. They make fantastic vacuums and blow dryers for the automotive and detailing enthusiast. The Blaster Sidekick is the mini version of their Master Blaster blower and designed for motorcycles or for blowing water out of cracks and crevices on cars, trucks, vans and SUVs.
I bought blinker fluid for my grandma 1 year ago when she bought her new jeep gladiator and told her how to use it. Couple days later she realized cars don't use blinker fluid 😅. She loved it and is still laughing to this day 🤣
One of my favorite recent gifts was a Streamlight Mini flashlight. Great glovebox size, about $30, brighter than any other similarly sized flashlight, and runs off a single AAA battery. It takes turns between living in my nightstand and out in my glovebox, and I'm probably gonna get a second so I can have one in each. 10/10 gift, do recommend. I got a full Survivor too which is also a great flashlight, but it's 3x more expensive than the mini.
Universal sockets are great for when you need a breaker bar and remove handle from your jack. The jack's socket will flip up and potentially be hidden by the car. Universal sockets is great for turning the relief valve open to lower it. So far the only time I've mine
2:26 I love that T-shirt because it’s true! Yes I know it’s Christmas soon but I don’t care. I think it’s a very true statement placed on a T-shirt that I would buy at a reasonable price of $14.99 at your local Walmart actually it’s probably might only be $4.99? It will make its way there at some point or at Ross. I’m a keep my eye out for that one😂
That blower thing is basically a DataVac with different branding on it. We use them all the time for computers and stuff. The DataVac is also slightly less expensive and comes with more attachments.
So the universal socket is okay when you've got loads of bolts to tighten in a short space of time up to low torques. I used to work an assembly line building HGVs and once the chassis was prepped with bolts someone would have to gun them up. Easy to smash one of these on that try and fit a spanner or risk trapping your finger by mistake. Any decent torque though and it'd just knacker them up. They've got their place same as any tool.
good that you started to half-ass your videos - makes it easier to mosey over to other channels and check out their content without feeling the quality drop as much. 👍
Maybe I'm getting too old for this shit... But as a father, I look forward to just have my family around. That's the best gift ever. Happy holidays, y'all.
I feel like a big portion of people get gifts with the mindset of "oh I like this, I think they will like it because we like each other." I even go as far as just asking what people want. Sure the "surprise" is gone but the excitement is still there.
I got one of those universal sockets 20+ years ago. Still use it on things. Heavy duty? Absolutely not! Putting random things together? It works just fine!
The 'universal' socket is like one of those bright ideas that look so ridiculously good on paper that people go "why has nobody thought of this before?!?!?!?!?" until those very same people go, buy one, and test it out just to say "oh, this is why" and throw it into the garbage. No room for it in the tools cabinet, straight to the garbage.
We had one of those blower things at a gamestop I worked at. It was great for blowing out the dust from the consoles people would bring in. Also, it helped get people out of the store when we blew out their consoles and roaches would fly out.
The floor mats are freaking adorable! Problem is what man in the history of man-dom has ever used a coaster? Willingly anyways...the blaster? Get a mini leaf blower. Cheaper, better made and cordless
This has made me decide to put a magnet in my hand. I have heard of people putting them in their fingers but that really doesn't appeal to me. Putting one on the back of my hand to hold screws would be life-changing.
I have that sidekick blaster and use it to dry my wheels and tires before applying my tire dressing. Works great on pushing water out of emblems and crevices.
I have to question the wireless charging pad since it’s flexible. The coil inside will probably get damaged eventually vs one that is secured in a rigid housing. I’d say it’s good for the duration that it’ll last but it’s not a quality brand name one which is both durable and supports high speed wireless charging. I’d rate it as a meh gift. Shows a decent attempt but could be better.
I got the uni socket for Christmas... I acted thankful and I kept it and I let it roll around in the floorboard of my car for 2 years... One day my headlight went out and I didn't have my tool kit but I had a pair of channel locks and the universal socket..... It was useful once 🤣

Justin’s SVX shirt is absolutely incredible.
Yes there is blinker fluid it is used in fork lifts and some bobcats but mostly in ELC FORKLIFTS
good that you started to half-ass your videos - makes it easier to mosey over to other channels and check out their content without feeling the quality drop as much. 👍
I have the Air Force Blaster for myslef, I use it for my detailing business. The little thing really helps if compressed air is not on hand
No one :duel transmission cars that are automatic and manual
The 'universal' socket is like one of those bright ideas that look so ridiculously good on paper that people go "why has nobody thought of this before?!?!?!?!?" until those very same people go, buy one, and test it out just to say "oh, this is why" and throw it into the garbage. No room for it in the tools cabinet, straight to the garbage.
Y’all tripping on the coasters. Those are awesome. I’m all about that WeatherTech life 😂
I know nothing about cars. But all the videos are so entertaining. I just love it
We had one of those blower things at a gamestop I worked at. It was great for blowing out the dust from the consoles people would bring in. Also, it helped get people out of the store when we blew out their consoles and roaches would fly out.
My boyfriend got me that magnetic extender flashlight last year and I LOVE it. I use it all the time. Legit good gift.
My mom got me one of those extendable magnetic flashlights last year for christmas, and I LOVE it. It has saved my ass so many times
I loved the telescopic, magnetic, flex flashlight.....but also the tires coffee mug and mat coasters 😁
The floor mats are freaking adorable! Problem is what man in the history of man-dom has ever used a coaster? Willingly anyways...the blaster? Get a mini leaf blower. Cheaper, better made and cordless
Plugging the hose onto the exhaust of your Shop Vac works just as well as the BLASTER!
This has made me decide to put a magnet in my hand. I have heard of people putting them in their fingers but that really doesn't appeal to me. Putting one on the back of my hand to hold screws would be life-changing.
I actually keep an air duster in my truck. It's probably 10x better than that, but probably costs 10x more with battery. Makita XGT air duster.
Lego technic sets are a great last minute gift for any car enthusiast.
Which holiday are you talking about? Easter? New years? Halloween?
WTF are you so afraid of Christmas? Loosers is right. Lol.
Justin looked awesome in those glasses.
I have that sidekick blaster and use it to dry my wheels and tires before applying my tire dressing. Works great on pushing water out of emblems and crevices.
The close ups of their faces and reactions were great😂
Hate on the universal socket all u want but when I lost the key lock to my rims this thing worked wonders
Nolan, I'm goin for frames 2 and/or 4. They really suit your vibe. You got a lovely face why hide it behind thicker glasses?
Justin Killin it with the shades
Everyone’s talking about blinker fluid, but why not break grease?
I have to question the wireless charging pad since it’s flexible. The coil inside will probably get damaged eventually vs one that is secured in a rigid housing. I’d say it’s good for the duration that it’ll last but it’s not a quality brand name one which is both durable and supports high speed wireless charging. I’d rate it as a meh gift. Shows a decent attempt but could be better.
I nearly choked on my water when Nolan was wearing that "Garfeld" shirt at 0:14
I got the uni socket for Christmas... I acted thankful and I kept it and I let it roll around in the floorboard of my car for 2 years... One day my headlight went out and I didn't have my tool kit but I had a pair of channel locks and the universal socket..... It was useful once 🤣
