Message for David, if you wanted to do a phaser blast hitting the cube you could get a section of EL wire in Orange and run it between the ship and the borg cube. Put a magnet on one end and a magnet sunk into the other side, and they would clip together. 11:26 That is EXACTLY what I imagined it was going to do the moment I saw the first controller. The sliding door obviously won't be moved on the regular, but those magnet connections looked sketchy af. Not to mention the hotglue job on the ABC cubes. These controllers are hanging on by a thread.
2:38 and in general that camera. Top right of the lower left quadrant. Not sure if a lens or sensor issue but should probably check that blue dot / blob. 15:50 top left too.
Does he know it's the Enterprise-C from the time travel episode? The one where Yarr comes back? That thing never met the Borg, and I'm concerned they think it's just a weirdly shaped D.
As a contractor, Thank you for putting that door on sliders. Hiding the panel is annoying but you did it in a way that I and other contractors can live with.
18:47 THAT reaction... just priceless... :) also, i would use some transparent acrylic for the Enterprise's stand, that it would be less visible having the "cloud" light in the background...
17:06 there are two sets of terminals for separate channels to the subwoofers and the mids/highs speakers, the test tone was probably two high of a frequency for the subwoofers to play, and so, switching the output to the other set changed it to the mids speakers, therefore making it audible. you still need a signal going to the other terminals otherwise the front towers will be severely lacking in subsonic frequencies and bass, which you want for a home theatre setup. hope this helps and someone from LTT or LMG reads this to fix this issue.
7:51 so hear me out... why not a bunch of picture ledges with 3d printed controller stands instead of wooden play blocks, magnets, bolts, and hot glue? Added bonus, you could easily hide charging cables now.

You should see the door into the garage! We made it a Tardis! Nothing but supportive loving nerds in this house ❤

@@just-yellowWhere did you get that information?
David and his partner are so lovely. Love their energy!

As a Trekkie myself, I am INCREDIBLY jealous of this setup..
Yes, it is perfection! This is the first time I've looked at something like that and thought about doing it myself. Just looks so good.
its the wrong enterprise though :(
@Swatmat Yup the Enterprise C would not have encountered the Borg. But I'll give it a pass since appeared in one of my favorite TNG episodes.
@@jfrenchws6 Thank god it wasn't just me noticing this...😅
@@jfrenchws6 Yeah, my thoughts exactly 😀. The Borg cube is cool, the Enterprise C is very cool, but those two don't mix 😀
If he can get those custom backsides for the controllers it would be sick though!
there goes his garage turned into a gaming room, good job!
17:37 The instant reaction from Linus is actually so funny im dying
Honestly, David videos have been some of my favorite as of late
2:38 and in general that camera. Top right of the lower left quadrant. Not sure if a lens or sensor issue but should probably check that blue dot / blob.
15:50 top left too.
i had that in multiple sections of the video as well at periods it was moving around the immage
It's a Dead Pixel Camera, dude. That's content.
Not going to lie...I had to pull up different image just to make sure it wasn't my monitor and I wasn't going crazy.
Yup, can confirm. Its been bugging me seeing it move around in the video from different shots
@@provostkhot hot pixel not dead
The Borg cube is Sick - Needs a Phaser Blast from the Ship to the Cube that Glows maybe even Pulses.
Proton is a good sponsor to have a relationship with for a channel like this
the David-Linus back and forth is heart warming. So nice to see these guys doing content.
The 'borg' PC case is sensational, warms my little Sci-fi heart. Also his SO's book nook is beautiful.
Lately there has been a dead pixel group in the middle of the footage of a couple of videos? Is the camera sensor dying?
naa i see it too
Maybe it just needs remapping
On mobile I don't see it
@@GetWiththeProgramGaming May need to set the video to 4K
@@DiverseGreen-Anon I did, still don't see it lol must just be a aspect ratio thing idk
Does he know it's the Enterprise-C from the time travel episode? The one where Yarr comes back? That thing never met the Borg, and I'm concerned they think it's just a weirdly shaped D.
I was thinking the same thing, D, E, Voyager or Defiant would have been perfect, but this one is cool looking also :)
Could say it was the USS Yamaguchi, that was an ambassador class at wolf 359 👍
@@kajitullygreen2763 but David called it Enterprise in one shot.
Yeah, this lack of detail is insanely frustrating. It's the wrong Enterprise!
19:17 Wait? No backups? Cmon .. Next you are going to tell us that he doesn't have insurance for his physical item collection either.
As a contractor, Thank you for putting that door on sliders. Hiding the panel is annoying but you did it in a way that I and other contractors can live with.
18:47 THAT reaction... just priceless... :)
also, i would use some transparent acrylic for the Enterprise's stand, that it would be less visible having the "cloud" light in the background...
0:24 "That might be a little bit of puffery sir." WAN show viewers unite :D
That Borg Cube case is so dope
Omg its proton mail ,good to see
17:06 there are two sets of terminals for separate channels to the subwoofers and the mids/highs speakers, the test tone was probably two high of a frequency for the subwoofers to play, and so, switching the output to the other set changed it to the mids speakers, therefore making it audible. you still need a signal going to the other terminals otherwise the front towers will be severely lacking in subsonic frequencies and bass, which you want for a home theatre setup. hope this helps and someone from LTT or LMG reads this to fix this issue.
I need to see how that room turns out sooooo bad! We need an update video when it is done (or even during the process)!
7:51 so hear me out... why not a bunch of picture ledges with 3d printed controller stands instead of wooden play blocks, magnets, bolts, and hot glue? Added bonus, you could easily hide charging cables now.
13:16 Watching this I can feel Linus' pain. That "floating" PC is legit stressing me out. 😧
20:26 that mgs4 box in that shelf might be the sickest thing in the entire setup for me lmao
i loved the puffery dig off rip, and the editors very funny galaxy wall was amazing! I hope they get to see this validation because theyre my favourite now!
besides that pc, this setup is something else, absolutely beautiful. If you're gonna be in a area most of the the day this is one to be extremely happy to be in.
7:28 I did that once with a metal piece. There was a lotta blood and I now have a permanent scar in my left index finger.
@@hananas2 this really did make me cringe cause I have been on the receiving end of this poor choice too lol
@@hananas2 yeah the drill doesn’t care about your intentions. Could have at least used pliers, two flat metal things stepping on one, or anything.
@@astrohgamingZero I normally clamp stuff in the vise. It was a dumb case of "oh I just need to bore the hole out a little more" without thinking. Now I've got something to remind me to always think before I drill.
I love how the collectable books are all smut
Wouldn't really call sarah j mass books all smut.
Yeah a couple chapters in the ToG series are, but by all means not ALL of them, and not every book there.
I am David's significant other and can confirm a lot of it is smut, but I stand by that a lot of it also is not 😂

Linus dropped a gold nugget when he mentioned doing these setups with what you have or can get. Best video of this type in awhile.
When I was in Boy Scouts and we first started working with pocket knives, the lesson we learned was to NOT carve something towards you. When I saw Linus use the drill, I had flashbacks.
Great video!
Great to see proton as a sponsor!

Just be weak and gay bro , my dude
I LOVE how easy it is now, to deploy a retro gaming setup.
Thank you for all of the people who worked on making it possible for the rest of us.
been using proton for a while, cool to see them as a sponsor
14:42 "I'm easy-" (gets cut off)
Great quote
Hate to be that guy but that's the wrong Enterprise.... that is the Enterprise C not the D which was the one that squared off against the Borg. Looks franken cool though love to see the Borg Cube computer actually tied into a Star Trek setup.
Should have recreated the lower decks opening credits battle scene 😁
Hate to be THAT guy to you but... There's no name on that model, you could argue that this was the USS Yamaguchi, an Ambassador class ship that fought at Wolf 359.
@@PurveyorOfEmetophili kind of thought of that as they often reused models for stuff LOL
@@PurveyorOfEmetophili either way its cool
@@PurveyorOfEmetophili someone did refer to it as "the Enterprise," so either they were mistaken or they're Pakleds and all Starfleet ships are "the Enterprise."
18:30 I'm terrified of the pc and the ship
There's no sponsor... except this segue... to our sponsor! (yes I know)
I always love David on camera, he's so fun to watch.
I had the opportunity to repair one of those exclusive Borg computers - Friend of mine was one of the winners. During shipping their GPU broke the PCI slot damaging both - One replacement later provided by cherry tree and swap done by me, and his system was going. Great concept, I can see why they went off on their shipper over the issues.
