"attention please this car is backing up" has to be the best car product I've ever seen. I can imagine a lady in her late 60s and its just her absolute favorite part of her day is using that
You all have garages that you can fit your trucks in? I put my suburban in my garage and when the front bumper is putting a dent in the drywall I've still got a foot of SUV hanging outside of the garage door.
I honestly cannot exaggerate enough how hard I looked at the Nissan ariya after that asm-car skit! If only it had a higher towing capacity! That was phenomenal, thank you for the entertainment.
Perhaps the Kia EV6 would be more up your alley. I'm honestly surprised they did a sponsorship for an electric car, because car people seem to hate improvement.
@@christophertaylor9100 Certainly not on _my_ car but I can think of three guys that would lose their sht if someone installed that thing in their car while they were sleeping wink wink.
The Curb Alert is meant to be installed to help prevent damage to your front bumper/splitter. Its not meant to help with parallel parking. I have one and had it professionally installed on my Challenger and it works great. It was especially helpful when the car was new to me before I got the feel of how close I was to a curb without scraping the lower air deflector.
Idk how they thought it was useful for parallel parking, it literally shows a picture of a car with preferred sensor location near the bottom of front bumper (on the amazon listing). 🤦🏻♂️
For like 30 bucks you can get a back up camera license frame that turns on the INSTANT your in reverse ( or you can wire it to stay on, as its just wired to your reverse bulb wires, then to your radio head unit or some other screen like a nav). I put one of my work truck and its worked without issue for 3 years so far. The only backup aid on amazon worth buying tbh
Definitely agree that the bumper bully looks awful, I certainly wouldn't drive around with one. But I think the entire purpose of that thing is to store it in the trunk and then take it out once you're parked. And in that case, I think it works great. You never have to see it while your driving and covers the entire bumper. Better than the plate cover in all aspects in my opinion, covers more area and you don't have to have it on while driving. If I lived in a city I'd probably buy one.
I have wired type front and rear camera combo (for about 50USD) and I love it. There is signal connected to reverse light that switches to rear camera view on display, but camera is always working with ignition. Also it records everything on SD card, so in case of accident, you have some video material to share with your friends. :)
Why wouldn't they work? Concept makes perfect sense. Haven't you ever felt/heard a small branch drag across your car before? I'd imagine it may be much louder as it'd be mounted to the car itself.
@@dillis2188 I know they work, but I have been in a car with some people who just wouldn't feel shit even if a freight train rammed them. That is why I said what I said.

I think from the description, it sounds like it's for pulling into your garage and letting you know when your nose/tail is clear of the garage door. It's for the front of the garage, not the rear. It makes noise when you're in the path of the door, and stops when you're not; that's my interpretation, at least.
That garage parking assistant worked flawlessly, why was it in the cheap crap section? I would never buy it but the countdown is amazing, just figure out which number is close enough for you and always park using that number
That 16 dollar parking sensor is actually pretty dang good. Would be smarter to mount the lights right below your third brake light, just like Mercedes used to do. That way it's visible when you look into your rear view or behind your shoulder.
OK... that first group of things, totally agree. Storage for the side bumpers, the rubber LP guard is useful... the flap thing just looks like your mechanic forgot to remove the fender guard before you drove off. I thought that second LP guard was a towing hook point at first and I was like, WTF? you can't tow on the LP like that! That 3rd set, for the price of the "curb detector" you could buy the reverse radar AND a decent backup camera system and maybe even have it professionally installed. (LOL, and I typed that right before the sponsor part, so before he said the same thing) Backup alarms... just, no... I honestly don't see the point of the regular ones myself
To be fair that park daddy thing could also be used secondary for intruders coming through your garage depending on where it's located and where you are in the house, dual purpose 🤷🏻♂️
@@ChrisDaVillian I agree. Not difficult to realize that if it's always on and therefore you don't want to leave your car tripping it, then just don't leave your car tripping it. In the first place, sensors like this never were meant to tell you where to park. Their purpose was always to tell you when you are getting too close to an obstacle which is two different things. And if they actually would bother reading the box, they'd find out that it's actually supposed to tell you when you are IN the garage, aka. when you entered it sufficiently to close so as to leave maximum space in front of you. Because you can always put things in front and still leave the garage, but drive up to a wall and you're wasting the entire space behind the car. So you close the garage door, place them right in front and you stop when they entering the garage and they stop beeping. There, maximum space efficiency.
