Solid review! I actually struggled with the story and script. Maybe that was with the editing, but I do agree this needed one or two more lines to explain some things. I don't know if I would call this new or fresh. There are two other horror movies that I instantly thought of once I realized what was going on in this movie. All-in-all, I did have a fun time watching it and it is one I'll watch again. Maybe after a second watch I'll pick up more on how some things connect!
You liking a director better than the other two I mentioned just because of one movie though he made three films I absolutely despise that any films emmerich and made were better than those three which were the last airbender, after earth and the happening which is perhaps the weirdest most bizzare film I have ever seen.
I hate the way you say Hunter Schafer. Its not Chef Ter. Its Shay Fur. I think. Thats how others say it though. At least you got her pronouns right though so that's cool.
