Great review. I love my ‘19 R1250GS HP. There are other capable ADV bikes. However as you mentioned, the excellent balance provided by boxer engine, and the ultra stable Telelever front suspension are what makes GS the best.
Thanks you for sharing your opinion. Was looking for such review. Bought a brand new 1250 gs. The anthracite/black one. With the 3 packs. Have to wait a week or two. The stock exhaust sound surprisingly good. I do believe mine comes with the “comfort seat” as I’m 6.4 I may have to check if 870mm seat height is good or need a little bump. As for upgrade there are wide range of protections avalaible.
jerome allache Thanks for the kind words and enjoy your new GS. I believe BMW is throwing the cases in for free right now, make sure you didn’t get charged. Cheers!
Nice concise review. I have the Exclusive version and it's an all round grin inducer. Top bike and so easy to ride. Low speed manoeuvers are easy and you don't feel the weight
Thanks for watching and for the kind word. This is one of the best bikes of all time. Since it's introduction it has been the go to bike for any adventurous soul. Cheers.
This is the Rallye R1250GS with the Passenger kit. So, it’s got everything that the Rallye has but has passenger pegs, seat, windscreen and centre stand added back on.
It’s about 1800 for the Vario cases or another 2300 for the aluminum panniers. You’ll have to get the adv carrier bracket if you want the aluminum ones. Another 1000. Right now BMW is throwing in panniers for free. Message your local dealership and ask for details. Horn is ok, cheers!
Beautiful sweet bike. It’s unique enough and I like a bike that looks like no other. In traffic you can detour or cut across fields almost anytime anywhere. Now you need some comfortable Adventure boots to protect those ankles and tibia/fibia bones. The next must have is Denali Sound Bomb horn. 120db of ear bleeding sound, because that OEM horn absolutely is non existent. No, I take that back, it would be helpful on a bicycle. 🤣. WTF is BMW thinking. Maybe bicycles. 😂. The Denali wakes up those “shift-for-brains smart phone users”. Great job here mate. Life’s short, just buy the bike. Ride safe and ride often.
Thanks for the kind words. A GS has been purchased. I’m not going to upgrade the horn, as manly as it is... but the exhaust has been upgraded to the Akrapovic one. Boots have also been purchased. Thanks for watching!
No, the GPS does not come with the bike. You have to purchase it separately or negotiate it into the deal. The GPS Bracket and holder is included. That GPS in the video is my BMW Nav V. It's the older gen. BMW GPS. It works with the bike and it does the job quite well so I'm not updating yet. Cheers.
Thakur Randhar Singh Please go to your local dealer and sit on one so that way you’re sure... But at 7’7 I doubt that the bike will be too tall for you. You might actually be too tall for the GS. 😉
@@Peeohtrek I have the normal suspension on mine,I rode one with sports suspension,I don't see any advantage for only street use, actually, less clearance is better for only on road use imo.
@@stocks7765 Yes, for when only riding street the sport suspension has no advantages, Regular suspension is sufficient. But for off-road the spring rate helps and the extra ground clearance is also very useful. Cheers.

@Joseph Marton Here is an add from my local dealer... It's a 2020 and it's been listed for about 2 months.... vehicles.buddsmotorrad.com/new/vehicle/2020-bmw-r1250gs-id9692004.htm
Joseph Marton Highest taxes and highest population... lol. Very accurate. What you say about the models not showing up until March only applies to Launch/Model Change bikes. For example, the 2020 AT, which is already out in Europe will not be here until spring (at the earliest). Non change year bikes DO show up at dealerships in the fall. Having worked at a Motorrad dealership myself, I can tell you for a fact that on non Model upgrade years OCT is the year change. That link I sent is for a 2020 GS currently in stock at Budds’ BMW. You can also check out Trader.ca or Kijiji and you will see 2020 GS and GSA bikes available. I assure you that the bike I was on was a 2020.... but for argument sake, there are no changes (other than rim colours) between 19-20 model year bikes.
HP stands for high performance. It’s BMW’s racing/off-roading “high performance” parts division. Every few years they come out with an HP bike or a bike with HP parts.... like the above GS. Cheers.
A few years ago there was a real GS HP, I think it was 2006. It was called the HP2 Enduro and it was essentially a dirt bike with an R1200 engine. That thing was bonkers. The current HP products are just the same bike as the base GS with one or two cosmetic farkles. They’re still cool but not HP2 E cool. I still love your bike though....😁
Kowalski Yes, I went to film all the drone and drive by shots in a hurry. They were filmed by my house on the last day I had the bike. I went to film them without my boots. Sorry.
Peeohtrek I suppose I might get a GS for the better resale value, but that would be about the only reason.I don’t think it has anything over the Super Tenere except an exorbitant price.

this bike is trash. i bought mine in 2019 summer. bike engine broke after 12000km - loud clanking noise from left cylinder. bmw refused to repair by warranty claiming that loud clanking noise in left cylinder is normal. while trying to sort this out lost 2020 season. all attempts to complain to bmw headquarters went nowhere. in december 2020 dealer agreed to buy it back from me for 13500 euro. as a result i lost a lot of money and a season just because they refused to repair broken engine by warranty. please note i had bmw warranty and dealer extended 5 years warranty on it which i bought as well. so bmw you suck and your newer bikes are trash. btw this was my 4th bmw bike and 3rd new bought from this dealer. worst customer experience, worst service ever.

Tom Dunlap I think you’re being a little hysterical. No need to take me seriously at all. BUT for the record.... The “filler” footage (the drone, ride by and low angles ) were filmed on a closed country road separately from my ride and later edited into the video. It was a scorching hot day and I changed out of my Klim gear because of the heat. Filming everything by myself, flying drones setting up cameras and other activities relating to recording exposed me to the heat so I dressed lightly. I’m sorry that that bugs you, hopefully one day I’ll be able to get a film crew and will be in proper riding gear that makes you take me seriously. Thanks for sharing your tantrum and opinion. Stay safe.
Again thanks. The editing was definitely worth the wait. Awesome job man. Looking forward for some 850 GS Adv vids. Keep up the great work.
