I have been feeding my hens 1 cup of food a day per hen, 6 cups total for 6 hens. Does that seem good enough? should I feed them more?

Each chicken needs about 1/4 Cup twice daily. Protein is key, but not everything. Check out Becky’s Homestead on YT her Earlier chick vids are great.

@@UrbanChickenMomma, Thanks, I have been mixing 75 % chick feed that is 20% protein with about 25% layer pellets that is 16% calcium. I also have been adding some chick grit and full size hen grit . I have been using the Dumor products from Tractor Supply. Thank you for your videos they are helpful and fun to watch, your Grey new hens are growing fast.

@@UrbanChickenMomma , I was hoping I could start to free range in my back field but I got eagles and/ or hawks checking out my coop e since I put the chicks out there. I also have coyotes running around. neighbors dog chased one yesterday right past my coop. Free range is on hold for right now. Here is my newest video of what I am trying instead. ruclips.net/video/017eFjcaVcw/видео.html
