what I really want to have is an "Australian Truck Simulator" :D just imagine riding through the outback with a road-train o.O or even have to get through rough terrain off-road - that would be so awesome
Well, I am pretty sure they're gonna close down rotterdam. Because that would be every truck x2 and the queue would go to down to Italia. And trolls... Oh hell no.
i just wanna see the Guinness World Record truck in game... from wikipedia's Road Train entry: "On February 18, 2006, an Australian built Mack truck with 112 semi-trailers, 1,300 t (1,279 long tons; 1,433 short tons) and 1,474.3 metres (4,836 ft 11 in) long, pulled the load 100 metres (328 feet) to recapture the record for the longest road train (multiple loaded trailers) ever pulled with a single prime mover. It was on the main road of Clifton, Queensland, that 70-year-old John Atkinson claimed a new record, pulled by a tri-drive Mack Titan."
When I first saw the Triple Trailers and you started talking about your truck and trailer lights all aligning the only thing I could think of after that is I wanted to see the same truck and trailers in a Coca Cola theme with the Christmas Lights.
Not gonna happen. If an Australian map mod was to be made, it would be great, but every attempt at an Australian map mod has failed. I don't know why, but the people behind the EAA Brazil map started small and all you have to do is Google EAA ETS2 Mod to see how gigantic it is now, and the EAA map's positioning is so very wrong. That map is off the coast of the UK. Why couldn't the Australian modders have done a similar thing.
@@patrickmusson4571 those mods r pretty unrealistic. & I hope scs can do an official release... Population of Australia is pretty low & there isn't many complex cities.
@@KuntalGhosh You're right. The only way Australia would ever get a map mod is if SCS does it, the chances of that happening are slim to none. Who knows, maybe after all the maps are completed in both games, they will have sufficient staff that a few people could break away and start doing areas of the world that they couldn't do before.
@@patrickmusson4571 people like pro mods can do this kind of stuff. Australia is simple.. other countries specially asian regions like india will be way way more difficult to work bcz of the complicated road and different terrains .. i would love to have a himalayan map 😂
i just noticed they have built the trailers as single axle, in Australia, the A Trailer which includes a Connection plate can be a triple axle, the B Trailers are generally always a Triple axle, then you have a Dolly followed by an A Trailer and then a B Trailer, you can also have an A Trailer followed by 3 B trailers connected by Dolly's
2 things scs should do that i think everyone would love with both ATS and ETS2, trailer companys enabling you to buy trailes for your in game company and customization for them, 2nd is Real life options for trucks, when you buy a truck it would be cool to have things such as ABS, long distance package etc, same with trailers
Take note that each of the trailers in the triple combo have a dolly between them. You're actually pulling 5 trailers, so roadtrains would work with just a B-train setup. Probably need custom "Roadtrain Terminal" prefabs as well to pull it off correctly.
Triples are only available for trips from Nevada to Nevada, same with the long/short doubles. The only doubles for Arizona and California are the short/short doubles

But it would be one way only From Europe to Asia or From Europe to Africa Not the other way around So, it's best to make individual games for these two continents or make a new game titled...."Eurasian Truck simulator" (Eurasian because Europe, Asia and Africa were once a single continent called Eurasia)
Rigs that carry 2 or more trailers are known as "Turnpikes" in the States. probably as they were designed to travel on turnpike roads and not through cities. B-Trains if linked together by a fifth wheel.
I found some information on the triple trailers. I live in one of the legalized states (Indiana) but I never seen one. "The 13 states that allow triple trailers are mostly in the West, where roads are flat and straight: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota and Utah. Triple trailers are permitted on the turnpike in Ohio, but there are no efforts to legalize them on Ohio`s public highways, said Don Smith, executive vice president of the Ohio Trucking Association. All the states that allow triple trailers also allow longer double trailer combinations as long as the triples, said Jan Balkin, state transportation policy analyst for the American Trucking Associations. Several states set a maximum length of 105 feet, she said."
I've been on I-70 through most of Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado, and there are triple and double pup trailers used by FedEx, UPS, ABF, Old Dominion, and YRC. (most of those trailers have Indiana plates) There is occaisonally double normal trailers, but I've never seen double tankers before! I've also never seen a standerd trailer+pup trailer combination like at 20:42 before.
I can't wait for the day we get Australian Truck Simulator, just imagine to warriors/very overweight and heavy load that they deal with. I mean those road trains of more 10 trailers😃 with a good challenging terrain
Hello Paul, I own American Truck Sim and I frequently get stuck behind a truck going 30 below the speed limit and I do not play my game with mods. It is an annoyance but when I had enough I just pass them. It is my number one reason why I don't like traveling on two lane roads.
Great video squirrel :) 17:23 something similar happend to me on ETS2, a iveco truck was in a junction in a city and had to stop as another lorry was cutting across him going right and got stuck as the AI don't reverse for eachother so every time he move he just stop and put his hazards on 😂
B double is a half then full trailer Road trains is anything at or above 3 full-length trailers, some are 200+ meters long so you require UHF radios to ask the driver if it's ok to pass or to know if one is coming around a corner or the other way. As the back trailers can be swinging side to side up to 5 meters
I did shit my self seeing this, I never thought it was official! 😯 The world will finally experience real trucks, the Scandinavian combos. Expectations are high as we are moving towards 32m 74tons gross weight IRL👌😄

and to answer your question about the AI's at end,, not sure if that's bug, but my friend who knows some of the DEV'S said they are working on better more realistic AI driving actions, like weight slowing down, and passing and accidents and stuff like that, to make it more real acting, not sure if they already implemented it, but it is in the works according to some people
They should add the DOT clock... as an option of course, you can drive for a max 11 minutes before you need to stop for 10 minutes and shippers take 4 hours of real time but the timer only say it'll take 15 secs... you want a real American truck driving simulator? Lay in your bed and have someone kick it every now and then
Squirrel, triples are legal in 13 states, not five. One state it's legal in and that isn't Nevada is Arizona, (which is also in game). Just thought you should know!
Doubles and triples aren't able to be backed up with out actually disconnecting the trailers and converter dollies from each other. I think also they need to make it so that you can actually hurt your engine when you lug it.
B-Train fuel doubles always look awesome Australian Truck Simulator would be awesome as well. Fans of both European and American style trucks will have plenty to chew on, and of course you get those awesome road trains.

Thinking about hauling a triple heavy hall at the total sum of maby 150 tons that's just crazy and I've seen a moded version where a guy drove with 6 trailers hopefully they will make some changes to the pickup and delivery centers and maby make new centers just for double/triple loads that would be amazing
In real life doubles also drive in the Netherlands, I don't know if the game also have the the doubles in the Netherlands, but in in real life there is a possibility.
So what happened with the speed of the trucks there in the triple haul is that if you go back to 20:18 and look at the map you actually crossed over into California for a bit. You're not even supposed to have a triple on that route. Looks like there are still some more bugs to work out.
From what I've seen IRL... They typically only use the tri trailers on long hauls between major outlying fulfillment centers and warehouses, well outside cities. So they never contend with city traffic. And then of course, just the states where they're legal. So they're fairly rare. When they first started, there were accidents where people got killed, so groups fought against them, which is why they were banned in some states. And of course CA said no, because CA says no to everything.
There should be an Aussie truck sim that has flat front trucks and nose trucks (I don't know there proper names) and massively long and heavy loads through the outback
Why does the AI have to always brake before changing lane? That is just beyond me. And the AI trucks have simulated physics at least in accelerating. You've talked about this a few years ago, in one of your ETS2 videos. You were (we all were) so happy about it. I'm surprised you forgot about that. Most of the times those trucks have mid or low power engines though, so they tend to struggle uphill. That is really annoying, when you have a fully upgraded super powerful truck.

it is called 4D Motion Seat an they have 2 in this container and they are driving to truck race events with it and, this year, even to GamesCom with one of the Motion Seats and the other one is at the Hungaroring
