Right on red is entirely allowed in Mexico except for Mexico City, and when there's a sign saying otherwise. Also, with 1.34, there's some issues with hitting bumps on the road where your truck VERY SUDDENLY speeds up. From what i've seen on the SCS forums, its meant to be fixed in 1.35.

Ackchyually. That truck appears to be a Peterbilt 389 pride and class edition. But it doesn't have the DEF tank so it is what we call a glider meaning it is a new chasis but it has an old referbished engine in it. Advantages of this are older engines are cheaper to maintain and don't have emissions controls the exhaust. It is clearly a 389 body but the interior is that of a 379. 379 was manufactured from 1987-2007. 2008 saw the premiere of the 389 which has a different interior different headlights and a 5" longer hood.
Yeah I've noticed when making mods that you do have to tell the mod hat version to work with. And when you do it won't work with another, despite the mod not conflicting with anything changed. I think that's how some old mods let you keep using them (regardless of conflicts or not), they weren't specified for a specific version. All I have ever made were skins and some GPS route colours. You can say if you want them to work with a specific version of a version or the whole lot or everything. I think, I put my stuff to work with all current version numbers anyway.
Squirrel, in My Summer Car, there is a Satsuma GT Grille which you can pick up from Fleetari. It is near the urinal behind the mechanic.
Also, regarding the right turn on red lights comment. In Canada anyways, we are allowed to turn right on red. Must come to a stop obviously, but you can turn right once you've stopped for right of way traffic.
In general, right turns on red after coming to a complete stop ARE allowed, unless there is a sign indicating that it is not allowed at that intersection, just fyi, so it seems to be a popular rule in most of North America.
@Squirrel dont run that CAT over 1600 after that your loosing too much torque. Without a heavy load shift between 1300 and 1500 i suggest 1400 its the sweet spot. Also thanks for your great vids and taking a break is fine. Sorry for your loss of your father in law.

@@aswd45-mk14 with heavy towing torque is what really matters. And anyways, in ATS horsepower isnt a figure, like it literally doesnt exist in the files, only torque.

Probably won't damage the road that much more. A Swedish study on there 32 Meter trucks showed that the road wear is minimal compared to a standard 16 meter truck & trailer.

The answer to whether it is legal to turn right on red in Mexico is no. "In Mexico, it is illegal to make a right turn on a red light. However, taxis do it all the time! Yellow traffic lights are a signal to stop, not just to slow down. The traffic lights will flash green before turning yellow."

I prefer "Minimal adviser interface for ATS & ETS2" which seems to integrate just a bit better than "Hemil's route adviser", especially with the different display modes. It did however need an update when ATS went to 1.34.

Suqirrel if you read this, I'm glad you're uploading videos again and love the truck btw but one little tidbit: it's better to run the flat top cab with a headache rack like that with the beacons on them; so the aero of the high roof doesn't block the beacons from reflecting (for realism's sake x3. Missed your videos squirrel. Hope you are doing ok)

wrong Squirrel most states do allow the right turn on red, except the adjacent state to Mexico city. some zones don't have a speed limit, the social established is around 120 kph

the engine will die if you suddenly hit the breaks without hitting the clutch. its essentially stopping all combustion and without that the engine cat cycle again

PS: The road on the Viva Mexico map that had a 35 mph limit was already fixed on v1.31 or v1.32 of ATS, 'cause when I drove there, it was 55 mph all the way through. I'm also pretty certain you drove around there in recent times on streams, but you may not have noticed it.
37 mph would equate to 60 km/h. 1 km/h equals 0.62 mph. I had to learn this as I used to drive trucks where the tachographs were only (reliably) calibrated in km/h so knowing the conversion and being able to do it mentally was rather important to avoid getting my butt kicked for speeding...
Can you do a video for installing mods that are outside of steam workshop. I've tried way to many sites and haven't had any luck getting anything that actually works.

OK, someone has to explain to me why that last set of wheels are there just carrying the oversize load sign, they seem a bit useless...
also, if you did this with a European truck it would be 2 meters shorter, so the combination of truck and trailer are at least 5 meters longer than needed :-)
The last set of wheels are carrying weight too. Idk about the UK but in America we have what are called bridge laws, bridge reffers to the distance between axles for example the distance between my drive axle and my trailer axle is the trailer bridge. In America the distance between your drive axle and trailer axle must be over 40' to carry max weight. If it's less than 40' your max pay load goes down from 80,000 pounds to 73,000 pounds and your axle rating goes down from 34k to 32k. But since this is a heavyweight trailer it needs extra axles. There is a separate bridge from the trailer axle to the rear axle which is called a booster or a jeep. The booster axle has to be a certain distance from the trailer axle to carry max weight.

Don't know about the UK either, but I live in the Netherlands, a combination like that wouldn't get very far (unless stuff is removed from the road side)

@@ernestclyde1807 Yeah, I know, that's also why I prefer ETS over ATS, I would be unsafe for me (and others around me on the road) to drive on such long roads without loud music and a lot of coffee, I've not driven a truck for a while now, but when I did .., unless it was busy on the roads, as soon as I left the city I was like, now what, and that was in NL and if you want to know what that is like, get the Tregion map for ETS :-) but to sum it up, on/off ramps and intersections every few kilometres, unless it's up north.
this is super realistic it's just missing the cartel roadblocks

The reason why the ai over take on solid yellow is in real life Mexico cars do it they disregard it like Jamaica
It’s the way the map editor did it to simulate realistic ai behavior similar to real life

I was playing the stock one on my main game (on hold on that one while a critical mod is updated...hopefully), mid delivery. just wanted to actually work up to a sleeper, rather than getting a sleeper off the bat!
