Who is looking forward to the Procreate release? Why? So the next release has 3D painting added and would give us the same sort of functionality that I’m showing you in this video. It really shows that developers are focusing on Ipad 3D related software and it’s growing all the time! I can’t wait until we have a texturing solution that uses UV’s and traditional maps that we could use in programs. Exciting times for creatives.
Procreate 3d painting…I’m already celebrating! 2 programs that We’re already familiar with that will work in concert…it doesn’t get any better than that. And you know they are both getting better and better. NEXT: UV mapping & unwrapping on the iPad. Now that’s a pipeline. Vertex painting is not gonna work for me. (I dabbled with “Artist 3d Viewer” which works with procreate, once you have UVs, but it’s a cumbersome process.) Appreciate your keeping on top of iOS tools. Exciting times to enter the fray! Thanks Glen…been evaluating your mentoring thing, especially for production related advice. 🤔☕️🎩🎩🎩
Have you seen the new vr modeling software called Masterpiece studio? It's basically medium but a lot more professional and even has built in animation and its texture system is a pbr work flow basically you can paint on materials with normal maps and specular maps and stuff. Looks awsome any chance we could get a video?
I personally can't wait for us to get to 3D animation and 3D game design right from the iPad. I feel that would really bring mobile creativity to the next level!

Thanks Tank. I should be doing a few tattoo ones now as we are partnering with Skin and Ink Magazine for their next issue. Should be doing an hour or so of content for their publication. I think Nomad is the best option for tattoo artists to show their ideas to a new client. Until Procreate5 next version hits maybe.
Yeah it’s really important to understand the difference between matcaps and PBR. Makes a huge difference when you goes to other programs with the model.

Still learning the sculpting process but I had no idea why it was so funny colored. Ends up I started with matcap on. I couldn't get the colors right.
