You never give the price on these shopping trips. I want to know what that whole basket of food cost. Does it only last a week besides? You are your mom are thin. Would what you ate there be considered your whole dinner, the tater tots, spring rolls and chili?

Yeah they should! They just started carrying a vegan ice cream too, not near me though 😭 but I'm keeping my eyes peeled!
Surely someone can copy Field Roast's Chao or Kite Hill products and make them reasonably priced. Vegans are so hungry for cheese, it seems price is not an issue yet though.
Depending on the area, they do carry lots of vegan options. I've seen some with coconut butter spread, vegan chicken nuggets, etc. The one where I live doesn't have any of that, but yeah. Just depends on the area. You have to call them and bother them until they start carrying it in the area you would like to have it =)
Yea mine carries the coconut spread and vegan veggie burgers too. I love their fit and active vegetarian re-fried black beans.

I'm Canadian and I've never been to Aldi's. But thanks to your videos, I feel like I can finish my grocery run in 15 mins complete with hummus, salsa, savoritz, and whatever produce picks there are.

Well CRAP! I hate season finales! Will Craig continue his 'rye kick?' Will momdre continue to buy hummus at three different stores? And will she continue to buy even numbers of random things? Let's hope that they do continue to shop as I'm pretty sure they'll all need to eat. I'll miss you guys but In the meantime, I'll watch reruns, and try to hold out til Easter. I'm going to start working on my easter bonnet now. I hate it when I get emotional like this! I..... I just..... I can't...... (sniff, sniff) THE PAIN!!!! ......... Oh. Never mind. I had a bit of gas. It's the hummus.... On second thought, it's probably best that we 'take a break' from each other for a while. Y'all are lucky. Our Aldis doesn't even have hummus! Although they just had a grand re-opening maybe they carry it now. But the VERY VERY best 'classic, basic commercial hummus is Trader Joes plain organic hummus. Its only like 2.29 US for a 10 0z
container and it is exquisitely perfect, lol. I really need to start trying to make my own, tho. Hear that, Mom?? jk

Hey, your videos are dope! I heard you mention you bought the cornbread stuffing from Trader Joe's. I work at a TJ's in Boston and assuming the products carried are fairly consistent nationwide, the cornbread stuffing we carry has chicken broth hidden in the spice list. Maybe double-check just in case!

When I visit my dad, and he just lives 35 miles from me, the only store around is a super walmart and they don't even have tofu. They don't have veggie dogs or tofurky brand anything. And not a non dairy ice creAm in sight, its terrible.

btw i look on the ingridents for those brand of hummous in walmart, and even though there vegan, there full of unhealthy conponents, i just make my own, throw some chippeas, cumin, oil and salt into a blender and homemade hummous right there, it will save you money too.

We finally got an Aldis here in Jacksonville and Orange Park...not huge stores...but we got them.
We had one in Bournemouth England.. I lived there and found it funny....we had to put a pound coin in to get our grocery trolley as they called the carts...lol

Rainbow carrots do not taste the same as orange carrots. Just throwing that out there. They all have a slightly different flavor. Also, make ya own veggie broth and hummus! So much money saved! Save veggie scraps, make stock, compost. So many great changes y'all could make =)

I am trying to buy 0 plastic packaging. I make smoothie bowls in the morning so I like frozen berries because it's summer here in Australia. Dates, almonds and cocconut doesn't last a day in my fridge. Golden quinoa has a sweet taste to it. Mixed quinoa is my favourite.

DAMN! $2.93 for a pound of hummus?! Here in Northern California, an itty-bitty thing of hummus is $4.99.
I’m vegan and love shopping at my local costco and aldi store. I try to save money when I can so aldi’s kind of your best friend in those situations. Also, I used to buy their wheat crackers like triscuits until I found out that the ingredient listed as BHT was a bad preservative that is an edible form of butane that extends the shelf life of products. So I still go to my local kroger or walmart for those since orginal triscuits don’t have that and only contain 3 ingredients. I just stay away from most of aldi’s crackers and cookies. But other than that, I think they’re a pretty cool store that’s great for people on a budget. :)
Im so jealous, your Aldi has so much more stuff than the one I use in Scotland, well actually we use three different stores but it's great for the basic veggies, fruit, chick peas etc. Totally makeour own hummus, mayo, ketchup etc, too easy and cheap!

There's an app called "is it vegan" and it scans the barcode of your food item and tells you if there's any ingredients that are/aren't vegan. I personally love the app.
