Sertraline can cause several side effects, just like all other medications. Sertraline side effects include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, dry mouth, insomnia, dizziness, and feeling tired. Sertraline can cause serotonin syndrome, low sodium in the blood, abnormal heartbeats, and increased bleeding risk.

I got red spots on my chest and arms my arms feel like they are on fire 2 weeks in after upping my dose from 25 to 50. I have dropped back down to 25mg. Is this an allergic reaction. I love this medication as it worked straight away for me.. but this is freaking me out

I think you meant psychosis. It is not a very common side effect of sertraline, but psychosis has been reported as a potential side effect of taking it. That being said, if you experience any unusual or concerning side effects while taking sertraline, let your doctor know.
