Kim Go Eun. Man, that girl is sick. She's pure talent and I just can't stress this enough, her wailing and expression were so on point and she can always make me cry with her. I love how her character was so strong she still puts up a fight until the very last bit of her energy, even when she didn't know help would be coming for her. And of course, Lee Min Ho's here is just... standing ovation for him. Outstanding. His voice and his fixed gaze towards Kim Go Eun screams longing and worry for the love of his life. THESE TWO ARE SO AMAZING I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH.

You can feel her frustrations to fight despite of feeling helpless. That's my girl over there. LMH's voice and expression is scary. Oh man! go get your girl she needs you badly. This scene really got to me. She looks so exhausted and drained by this point and was still prepared to fight until she saw the king and knew she could finally stop.
Some might say they don’t have the chemistry, but you cannot deny talent when you see one. These actors are giving their all with their acting and some guys just continue hating. This scene seriously gave me goosebumps. Props to all the casts and staff. Forget the ratings, I’ve enjoyed this drama all throughout.
Kim Go Eun's acting never fails to impress me. She bodied this scene. Her wailing sounds so painful that I can feel her pain through the screen. She's one of the best working actresses in her age range right now. She's the type of actress that shines more in difficult scenes like this where normally a lot of actors struggle. What a talent. The best part is she's only gonna get better over time. Can't wait for her next projects!

Who knew we would swoon this way over a king rescuing his queen in the most traditional way in 2020. This is most cliche fairytale moment and yet its something like we have never seen before. The scene is top tier kdrama moments.
This entire scene is a freaking masterpiece. There are small details that make the scene so awesome for me. For example, when you can hear the sound of the horses approaching from the distance (0:27), but once Jeong Tae Eul sees Lee, you only hear the gallop of his horse (0:48), nothing else. Every other sound vanishes, as he means the world to her and nothing else matters anymore.
Yep, especially the way he got off his horse - that shot was superb and I like the scene showing him walking towards her with his bodyguards, like Epic shot - they looked bad ass and just plain cool - dope shot!!!

You can clearly see the difference between her facial expression when she thought she only had 2 bullets left to fight off all the mob of bad guys compared to when she saw Lee Gon with Maximus and his royal guards. Agreed. The delineation raises the bar high to being a good actress to an excellent and relatable one. The way she channels and convey emotions out the screen to the audience is surreal. Been a fan since I saw Eungyo. And its a plus that she’s a really down to earth, chill person in real life.

When she saw those men coming for her she was sure she's going to fight until her last breath then realized she will never win against them and her facial expression tells us she's giving up. But the moment she saw LG, she became vulnerable and cannot wait to tell him how much she needed him to save her.

This entire scene is EPIC! Gosh it gives me goosebumps! This scene alone deserves an award! From Kim Go-eun's cries and facial expression to my man Lee Min Ho riding into this scene in tandem with his crew while yelling "PROTECT HER", his voice is OMG, out of this world. His sword fight is amazing, seeing as he is such a tall man and does his own stunts, then the tandem walk with his crew to her was the icing on the cake! All the while, the best OST songs playing "Orbit" and "Gravity"...THIS SCENE IS PERFECT!!!!

Kim Go Eun's acting is out if this world. She makes every of her characters so real and believable. You can sense her sincerity and the incredible amount of commitment through her acting, it's like she's becoming the character for real every single time and the real Kim Go Eun disappeared... I don't know how else to describe it. I personally loved to watch her in Cheese in the trap, Goblin and now The King. LMH was right, she has a very wide acting spectrum. Can't wait for what she'll do next.

Kim Go Eun never failed to amaze me. She truly has the ability to characterize Jeong Tae Eul down to her core. The way she just stood there in the middle of the road with her gun raised up even if its just two bullets against countless men? It shows her courage to fight for her life. The way her posture slouched and a repressed wail came out of her mouth when Lee Gon came? That look alone can tell him just how hard it was for her just to get to him. And yet, even when she just went through hell and back, Jeong Tae Eul still dragged herself towards him. But you know what I really loved the most? After all the times that Jeong Tae Eul ran towards his arms, this time it was Lee Gon who ran towards her. That scene finally did it for me.
I know hey - i loved when he ran to her in the bamboo forest and when he came to rescue her - Super cool showing him running towards her - all the other scenes are her running towards him - MinEun, team TKEM fighting!!!

To be honest,I couldn't really comprehend the depth of this storyline in the first half of the drama. But as it unfolds I can literally feel their pain. That time is up against them and nothing can ever be taken for granted and beat around the bush like other dramas. It's the kind of drama you watched again and find it more interesting than before. ❤ I truly2 appreciate the team for giving us this drama even when the world is crumbling because of the pandemic.

When I heard the gallop of the horses there to save her, I was definitely feeling it. Saying, okay, everything is fine now. The feels were hitting me hard! And then he ordered his guards to protect her and she was the future queen, I lost it!! I’ve never experienced that in a tv show in my life. Feels overload!! Tears just gushing! I never get tired of watching this scene! It was very well done!

For some reason native Korean fans and international fans always differ in opinions. That's what happened in Scarlet Heart Ryeo as well; it was a flop in Korea but was a big hit internationally. C'mon guys this is Netflix so it will reach more international fans.
One thing I like about JTE is that her character here is not useless . How she fought with the goons , escaped as much as she could . And even at the end when she had only 2 bullets still she didn’t give up and tried her hardest . That’s what u call bravery 👏🏻🔥

Out of the hundred Kdrama/Cdrama/Jdrama/etc. shows I have seen, this scene will always be my favorite-the dialog, cinematography, and soundtrack were all perfect.
I SEE A LOT OF COMMENTS ON THE "PROTECT HER, SHE'S THE FUTURE QUEEN" PART. BUT, IS IT ONLY ME...THE PART THAT GOT TO ME WAS THE NEIGHING OF THE HORSE AT 0:47 AND THE SLOW MOTION RIDING. THAT WAS EPIC. Also his pause after the fight while looking at her...that was respect and admiration in his eyes for a woman who could hold her own in a battle. And the icing on the cake? The run at the end.
The fact that she was tired and hopeless while escaping. And she really thought that was it, the build up to this scene epitomizes ''damsel in distress'' to the tee. It was so beautifully acted and executed by the damsel and her knight in shining armour. I cried so bad and watched it ten times before I could continue the episode, Lol.

They way she puts so much emotion into every expression and gesture, no matter how small, really sets her acting apart. And Lee Min Ho is so amazing in this role. In this scene alone, how he exudes both power and tenderness is so interesting to watch. He goes from being ruthless and determined during the fight to soft and caring while he is holding Tae-eul, to protective when he is carrying her to safety -- all very subtly and without missing a beat. ♡

The aggression of how could anything happen to her and how frustrated he was because of that. It truly state that he is a kind of actor who always do justice to which ever role he plays. And the actress, she didn't loose to him in any way. The look she had when he came for her was like 'finally he's here' I'm amazed. She really was no 'damsel in distress'. She to the very end fought with all her vigor and like a true image of a Queen for her King. I think the ratings that I saw domestically are not doing justice to the actors. The drama was slow in the initial phase but as and when the episodes accelerated it got better and better. Internationally, well I'm lovin' it💕 Lee Min Ho appeared on screen after a long wait but it was worth the wait. They make a beautiful couple 💓

I know his line is the scene stealer but I get shivers at the very end when he runs towards her and hugs her, perfectly in tune with Hwasa's voice. Kim Go Eun's acting never fails to impress me. She bodied this scene. Her wailing sounds so painful that I can feel her pain through the screen. She's one of the best working actresses in her age range right now. She's the type of actress that shines more in difficult scenes like this where normally a lot of actors struggle. What a talent. The best part is she's only gonna get better over time. Can't wait for her next projects!

This entire scene is a freaking masterpiece.
There are small details that make the scene so awesome for me. For example, when you can hear the sound of the horses approaching from the distance (0:27), but once Jeong Tae Eul sees Lee, you only hear the gallop of his horse (0:48), nothing else. Every other sound vanishes, as he means the world to her and nothing else matters anymore.
Also in the last scene it's only min hi and the girl, no third person... It really sums up all greatly..

You can sense her sincerity and the incredible amount of commitment through her acting, it's like she's becoming the character for real every single time and the real Kim Go Eun disappeared... I don't know how else to describe it. I personally loved to watch her in Cheese in the trap, Goblin and now The King. LMH was right, she has a very wide acting spectrum. Kim Go Eun never failed to amaze me. She truly has the ability to characterize Jeong Tae Eul down to her core. The way she just stood there in the middle of the road with her gun raised up even if its just two bullets against countless men? It shows her courage to fight for her life. The way her posture slouched and a repressed wail came out of her mouth when Lee Gon came? That look alone can tell him just how hard it was for her just to get to him. And yet, even when she just went through hell and back, Jeong Tae Eul still dragged herself towards him.
But you know what I really loved the most? After all the times that Jeong Tae Eul ran towards his arms, this time it was Lee Gon who ran towards her.
That scene finally did it for me.

To be honest,I couldn't really comprehend the depth of this storyline in the first half of the drama. But as it unfolds I can literally feel their pain. That time is up against them and nothing can ever be taken for granted and beat around the bush like other dramas. The fact that she was tired and hopeless while escaping. And she really thought that was it, the build up to this scene epitomizes ''damsel in distress'' to the tee. It was so beautifully acted and executed by the damsel and her knight in shining armour. I cried so bad and watched it ten times before I could continue the episode, Lol.

I know is just a story on screen. But this scene was epic! I love that she isn't a helpless female waiting for a savior. She saved herself. And was ready to die fighting. This man was all a real man should be. I got the chills, watching this episode..I think I will go watch it again right now.

Kim Go Eun never disappoints. She's quickly becoming my favorite Korean actress. They way she puts so much emotion into every expression and gesture, no matter how small, really sets her acting apart.
And Lee Min Ho is so amazing in this role. In this scene alone, how he exudes both power and tenderness is so interesting to watch. He goes from being ruthless and determined during the fight to soft and caring while he is holding Tae-eul, to protective when he is carrying her to safety -- all very subtly and without missing a beat. ♡
Just gotta say it...Lee Min-ho is smokin hot in this clip. Kim Go-eun and him are just awesome together. Great chemistry, beautiful concept just kudos all around.

When you realize its NOT the End yet. AND There's Still hope. Just came right In Time. All you can do is cry your heart out. and believe you made it. Everybody can relate to it.
The scene is epic. Just when he said, "Protect her! She is the future Queen of Kingdom of Corea." Well, I lost it. I literally had goosebumps. The determination Lee Gon showed for her. The aggression of how could anything happen to her and how frustrated he was because of that. It truly state that he is a kind of actor who always do justice to which ever role he plays. And the actress, she didn't loose to him in any way. The look she had when he came for her was like 'finally he's here' I'm amazed. She really was no 'damsel in distress'. She to the very end fought with all her vigor and like a true image of a Queen for her King.
I think the ratings that I saw domestically are not doing justice to the actors. The drama was slow in the initial phase but as and when the episodes accelerated it got better and better. Internationally, well I'm lovin' it💕
