Kim Go Eun is one powerhouse of an actress. Her chemistry with the male leads opposite her is always top notch. Be it here with Lee Min Ho or with Gong Yoo in Goblin or with Park Hae Jin in Cheese in the Trap (my favourite of the three) - she plays each character to a T. She is Daebak!!

I love how the love story is intertwined in the parallel universe "theory". There are so many fine details in this theory. The head court lady reading the poems, linking the story together. Lee Rim arguing with himself... So many fine details. Hope to watch more of such drama series.
Because of this show, I start to watch all Lee Min Ho’s other show. This show is so powerful and they have such mature love and faithful to each other that it’s so hard for other show to match.

I just finished watching The King: Eternal Monarch and let me tell you this drama was full of unexpected twists, super cute and romantic moments, action packed scenes, the overall storyline was very interesting and actually made me curious about parallel universes and the theory of time in general could be possible. Also a big thank you to the director and the wonderful cast for making the experience much more worth while :)

gyuliet That’s what makes this drama so different because you feel like watching A real couple scenes wether it’s bickering,loving or any emotions they are showing. You feel on what they are going through because of the rawness of how they portray their scenes together. Then you watch the BTS which even bring more happiness and smile to us viewers that it’s so hard to distinguish the reel from the real one. The drama itself for m with slime the start of the real love story.
Many have doubted the chemistry of this pair and I respect that. But for me, they are one of the best kdrama couples I have ever watched not because I'm a fan of KGE but because they' re so natural. I think they didn't even got a chance to promote their team up prior to the showing of the drama except for the press conference but still, they had a huge impact. I have watched Go Eun's other projects but this is the first time I have shipped her with someone. Well, this is just my opinion. The real question is: Would we have survived this chemistry if this was on TVN? In the Ep. 12 BTS, the director had to yell cut TWICE to get them to stop, that is how intense it was getting... What was aired is so tame in comparison! I was not expecting this pairing at all, and love it so much more that they proved me terribly wrong about them.

Both of them have lovely chemistry. First time i saw LMH acting look so mature and natural. Honestly, KGE is really pretty and i love her monolid eye. Now, i understand why LMH said she have pure eyes cause his eyes can express various of emotion and feeling. I'm the biggest fan of KGE. Sorry for my broken English😂.

TKEM is a love story that will touch your heart and soul. LMH and KGE portrayed their characters perfectly, their chemistry is so Perfect, so natural, ( i believe there is love between them on and off screen based on their BTS, its undeniable, it shows, the viewers can see and feel it). In every scene together, you can feel their emotions, you can feel their love, longingness, pain, fear and happines, and all are worth watching over and over again....
There's no room for moving on from TKEM especially these sweet couples., their undeniable chemistry is top notch. I missed them every single day especially on Friday and Saturday. I keep rewatching their BTS, OST from IG, FB and YT. I even started to rewatch the whole episode yayyyy...

For real. Something about the way he looks at her just hits different. There is a tenderness in his eyes and manner that I've never seen before as a fan. That's the reason why I got so addicted to this drama and also the BTS. I mean it's a sci-fi fantasy, but their chemistry made me believe it.

Parallel universe and time travel theories went over many people head, that's why few couldn't understand it. This is one of the best drama ever. Thankfully it got love that it deserves internationally. To the people who are saying it was love at first sight or how they became so close just after meeting. Just watch the whole drama and you would understand. There was many years of longing and waiting before they actually got to spend time together. There were many loops that they experienced. JT had already met Lee when she was little and even before their official meet. Even though she forgot about him but the feelings remained and kept growing. Lee has known her as his Savior for years and gradually fell in love. It shouldn't be a surprise that they developed feeling soon after their meet because the flower that was growing inside them bloomed when they met. Their love is waiting and patience.
I'm a fan of Kim Go Eun. And i am happy that there are many good comments about her and their chemistry,because even before the airing of this drama there were many negative comments specially to Kim Go Eun,many said that they have zero chemistry and why choose Kim Go Eun to be paired with Lee Min Ho etc.... I am Kim Go Eun's fan and only became Lee Min Ho's fan when quarantine happened. I've already watched all of his dramas and movies and I'd say that he's already a great actor ever since Boys Over Flowers but he became an even better actor on The King. The chemistry between the two lead is on point given that their characters are king and detective on parallel universes. The mushy, sweet sweet acting are not compatible to the storyline. The plot requires them to be mature, straightforward yet still affectionate which they delivered very well. The plot is also not confusing if you will closely watch and analyze the clues given bits by bits toward every episode. I guess those who hate this drama are expecting another Jun Pyo, Kim Tan and Joon Jae who's leading lady is someone who always need to be protected, cared and kissed everytime. Well Jeong Tae Eul isn't that kind of girl 😝.

The real question is: Would we have survived this chemistry if this was on TVN? In the Ep. 12 BTS, the director had to yell cut TWICE to get them to stop, that is how intense it was getting... What was aired is so tame in comparison! I was not expecting this pairing at all, and love it so much more that they proved me terribly wrong about them.
I think if this was on TVN and if Kim Eun Sook didn't work alone to write this, they'll get all awards in the TV category next year.

LMH and KGE portrayed their characters perfectly, their chemistry is so Perfect, so natural, ( i believe there is love between them on and off screen based on their BTS, its undeniable, it shows, the viewers can see and feel it). In every scene together, you can feel their emotions, you can feel their love, longingness, pain, fear and happines, and all are worth watching over and over again....

Parallel universe and time travel theories went over many people head, that's why few couldn't understand it. This is one of the best drama ever. Thankfully it got love that it deserves internationally.
To the people who are saying it was love at first sight or how they became so close just after meeting. Just watch the whole drama and you would understand. There was many years of longing and waiting before they actually got to spend time together. There were many loops that they experienced. JT had already met Lee when she was little and even before their official meet. Even though she forgot about him but the feelings remained and kept growing. Lee has known her as his Savior for years and gradually fell in love. It shouldn't be a surprise that they developed feeling soon after their meet because the flower that was growing inside them bloomed when they met. Their love is waiting and patience.

And i am happy that there are many good comments about her and their chemistry,because even before the airing of this drama there were many negative comments specially to Kim Go Eun,many said that they have zero chemistry and why choose Kim Go Eun to be paired with Lee Min Ho etc.... I am Kim Go Eun's fan and only became Lee Min Ho's fan when quarantine happened. I've already watched all of his dramas and movies and I'd say that he's already a great actor ever since Boys Over Flowers but he became an even better actor on The King.
The chemistry between the two lead is on point given that their characters are king and detective on parallel universes. The mushy, sweet sweet acting are not compatible to the storyline. The plot requires them to be mature, straightforward yet still affectionate which they delivered very well.
The plot is also not confusing if you will closely watch and analyze the clues given bits by bits toward every episode.
I guess those who hate this drama are expecting another Jun Pyo, Kim Tan and Joon Jae who's leading lady is someone who always need to be protected, cared and kissed everytime. Well Jeong Tae Eul isn't that kind of girl 😝.
