It's a huge budget project, but because it's Apple+, it has a way lower profile than even a moderate hit in Korea that was on Netflix. I'd argue something like Crash Course in Romance is much more well known globally. Because it's a US show, he's probably got a higher rate than Korea. Money aside, it's just a great project for a Korean actor to be involved even if the global reach is a bit less. Worth it for the artistic side and groundbreaking budget.
@@zed_chuhe have always been this good and has done and slayed projects beyond any genre's..tbh not all Korean actors can do that..some just stayed on doing darker roles, but LMH has done from light to darker roles regardless if it's in action, melodrama, comedy, fantasy or historical

I loved Pachinko, the book. So I was surprised to love the series even more. It is perfectly cast. Everyone is great in their part. This is the most challenging role I think Lee Min Ho has ever had the chance to play and he is FANTASTIC. Kim Minha broke my heart so many times. I haven't seen enough of Jin but I'm sure he's great.
Same! It has some significant departures from the book, I guess to make if more palatable for the general audience, but as long as you respect that limitation, it’s actually one of 2022, and now 2024’s best series.
To make these comparisons, we should have more Korean interviews but we don't really have them. It's obvious that they have another direction with their promotions.
@@hades8831 It's a bit sad as a Korean (grew up in the US). Apple has about 25% of the Korean smartphone market. And even people that have the iPhone probably don't know about Apple+. It's really a beautiful drama that Koreans should know about.
All three are very nice and friendly. Lee Min Ho's naturalness and honest expressions are very worthy of his. I would have liked to hear more about Lee Min Ho's love-language, and every element of his complex talent could have been listed.💫

I ❤ this! It’s so good to see Lee Min Ho’s personality shine outside of the constraints of Korea! His English is improving and he looked like he was genuinely having fun. But it’s kinda hard not to have fun with Jin Ha around. He’s full of personality. I would love to see MinHa in an action film along with Lee Min Ho. I always enjoy MinHo “kicking butt and taking names” in his action films. 😂

Here I was making sure I have no plans on Friday night to make sure I watch Pachinco and just realize Season 2 ended 😭. Such a cliffhanger and I am going crazy thinking what would happen if it doesn’t continue or at least give us closure. I really hope they are giving us season 3.
