I know thatt I am late to the party, but I recently bought the adventure craft. This little knife is my 'travel' knife. It is small enough to carry it everywhere without weighing you down or raising eyebrows. But I was able to push it into some 'big' knife jobs. It is a really good design. I am also a big fan of it's utilitarian design. It has an old world beauty to it. You did a top job designing these knives.
Such a good choice going to White River. They have the finest tolerances and precision I've seen, just nailing quality and satisfaction at the 150-250 price range.
Great review and i am sold on both of these designs. I have a couple of knives very similar to the adventure craft, one is the knife i use the most out of all my knives. I am going to order the jackelope with the intention to use it as a primary field/bushcraft knife. I believe it will be as useful as it looks. I certainly hope so. Wishing you every success, you seem like a genuinely good human which makes it even easier for me to buy a product you are involved with.
IMHO as minimalist knives your designs give everything needed and more - its compactness reminds me of the Grohman Canadian belt knives but the style is distinctly yours-- Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Thank you Jacob for explaining both knives. I think they are very well purposed for their task. But I'm really glad you designed the carry knife to be strong enough to use in Bush craft task if in a pinch. I hope you had a merry Christmas and god bless my friend.
Great explaination . The Jackelope is REALLY starting to grow on me. It checks all of the boxes for an overly capable every day carry blade. Ive been shopping for the" perfect " blade and I keep coming back to THIS model. Anyways, badass and beautiful knife, sir.
Just got my AC few weeks ago. First Kydex sheet for me. I like it, but I think itś a bit big and wide for me to make it a edc. Already started to figuere out some designs and I will make some versions. I think the pancace design would be better for the AC and the double sheet design for the Jackalope for the versatility. I will try to make it as slim as possible to resemble the pen like appearance of the knive. Also making it a deep carry to carry it in the front pocket, taking advantedge of the lenght of the kive, just short enough to have it in the front pocket without beeing annoying.
THANK YOU Jacob! I’m still torn. I’m glad I ordered the AdventureCraft.... I know it’s a better fit (for my pocket). But dang, I want the Jackalope too. Father’s Day? Maybe sooner ;).
So I hope you see this comment before you ship my AdventureCraft.... My wife told me, “Go ahead and get the Jackalope to go with it.” (Well, she doesn’t know the names lol). So I jumped on that offer. I just placed the order. I don’t know if you can save any money shipping them together. If you can, go for it (if it helps put a little extra in the savings account). Whatever works best for you brother.
Hope your having a good and great Christmas :) We have gone into more of a lockdown here so not much can be done but I did have Christmas Dinner with my Father. ALL the BEST for 2021.
Jacob, I just received a Jackalope and I’m curious about replacing the scales. I seen them for the adventure craft but not the jackalope. Are you planning to have replacement scales for the jackalope?
I am planning it but it will take a bit, especially to do my special Chroma scales. However Lucas Carroll or 3 trees outdoors might have the ability to make custom scales before that.
Hey Jacob, I finally got my adventure craft/exodus 3. im very Happy with it and carrying it every day. Now could you tell me what angle the exodus 3 is has? Or what is the best i your opinion?
@M.W.2703 it comes from the factory close to 20 degrees. For me at about .021 bte that is a good balance but if a person isn't going to be doing as much bushcrafting you could drop to 15 degrees with a convex and get more sliciness but of course less edge stability.
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors Hey mate. Would you say the pancake kydex is good enough or you think a taco kydex would be better to use? Thanks in advance mate.
@M.W.2703 for larger knives there is a strength variable between pancake and taco style sheaths. For a knife of this size it is all about packaging, a taco sheath might be able to be made smaller but it wouldn't allow for points of attachment on both sides without being the same size, so I'm happy with the current design.
Hello brother, you said you are the owner of the company so you would be the best person to ask. I would love to purchase these knives for both my use and my collection but I don't know where I can find them, I live in central North Carolina and if you would, please tell somewhere close to buy them or if you can a online order option, I would also like a catalog of your company if you put one out, thankyou for your time
