I love Lashenova especially her layout series on beam! One of the best if not the best!
I miss this!
Fantastic back to back!
1 - This is the video I've been waiting to see since gymnastics content became a thing. So glad that the first time I saw it it was you.
2 - I was hoping to see one person and I'm so glad they were included. Yulia Kut--the only person to rebound out of a double salto.
I love this. Thank you for putting it together . You did a great job
Omelianchik is a feather🪶 trapped in a ballerina-who-switched-to-wag body😍🖤
This is a great video that reminds me of the old days when back to back tumbling was an amazing wow each time we saw a gymnast with that bunch of energy :) Dobre, Mitova and Omelianchik were my favorites, and I love Dawes because she is Dawes :)
SO cool!
I wish gymnastics could be this artistic again now it’s just the same routines. Not saying that’s a bad thing, but I’d like a little more variety.
That is bad thing--routines are not meant to all look the same.
Amazing ❤
All of these ladies were amazing. Dominique Dawes has always been one of my favorites because of her b2b tumbling. Does anyone know why b2b was eliminated? I recall seeing a video saying that it was banned but they never stated a reason. Perhaps they meant that gymnasts no longer perform them because of changes to the scoring system?
It’s not banned. It doesn’t give any bonus and it’s not worth it. If you see today’s routines after a tumbling pass, the gymnast just adds a bit of choreography in the corner before doing the next pass.
@@mrparts ok thank you
Most of the actual skills in back to back tumbling are relatively easy (for elites), and the extra back handsprings wouldn't provide any CV. Plus they lose momentum on the rebound line and get deducted for low height. I'd honestly rather see a crazy combo pass like Aly's iconic first pass, or Simone's front full through to Silivaş.
@@rebeccasilver2181 thanks. what is CV?
Glad it's banned. Looks terribly demanding
Also rarely clean ob the second lane
@@Soogle42Back-to-back passes are not banned.
@@MD-722 ah ok thanks
@@Soogle42 You're welcome. But the reason you don't see them is because the code of points doesn't reward CV in a way that would make them worth it; esp with regards to the amount of deductions they would incur.
Honestly, could never enjoy back-to-back tumbling on floor. It doesn't feel artistic or elegant. The element ending the first pass also has to be relatively easy (double twist or back hand spring), so they can bounce into the second pass. Just my opinion, always enjoy your content
My opinion differs from yours, but perhaps that's because I grew up watching back-to-back tumbling... nostalgia and all that. 🙂 Also, I kinda miss the creativity of that time; gymnasts would connect all sorts of skills and passes just because they could, which was super fun for those of us watching!
@@glibster I appreciate that! Great back story too for why you like it : )
@@darklight1030 Glad you understand! 😀 And I do appreciate how gymnasts have pushed the boundaries of tumbling since then; it still blows my mind that gymnasts are competing triple-twisting doubles and double-double layouts...
and what NOW is artistic and elegant! Not a damn f'n thang! I miss b2b tumbling.
