- Was finally able to add this mod to the front cvds. Unfortunately these LC cars have crappy cvds. They’re very thin and bend easy. I however am bashing the snot out of the car which was probably not meant to “bash” lol! But it truly is nearly indestructible aside from weak cvds. So far this mod held up nicely and should be able to take some bashing! Cheers!
Warren RC has hard arms set. 30% Thicker a arms. Have yet to break another a arm.....bent one hinge pin, but arms holding strong. Bought aluminum arms on Amazon, but haven't needed to use them

So I did this mod and the weather has been awful so I haven’t been able to bash test it like I need to. So it still needs a proper bash! But overall this mod is worthy either way. The cvds stock are super flimsy. Can’t wait to bash it again! Thanks for watching!
@@RedRoxRc Yeah I feel you haha. Weather is just starting to get better here in Ohio. Had my first full fledged bash session in 2 whole months the other day. Only have two rc's right now, but looking to get more soon. This is at the top of my list!

@@RedRoxRc I do love little cars, and this seems to be the best of the best in that category! I prefer my latrax teton over my brushless upgraded ecx circuit, just because of the size. It's just so fun. Can't wait for the next bashing video!

@@RedRoxRc - I meant for the LC Racing Team Associated 1:14 Axle Upgrade (the video this comment is posted on). For some reason, I couldn't tag you without replying to another post. You show shims as part of the upgrade. More specifically, the order is bearing, shim, crush washer, shim, bearing. The shims in the video look to be of different thicknesses. The first shim looks thicker than the 2nd one.
@RED ROX RC - what shim size do you use? There are three shim sizes in that pack-.01, .02, .03....
The CVD's bend because the stock arms are too soft and can twist up to 25+ degrees. You need to order the Stiff Arms and it will completely eliminate this issue. The major problem with this car is the outdrives.. they get notched up after 3 packs.
where did you get that front Bumper?
do you still have the truggy? have LC Racing fixed the problem or do they still bend easily? 10x
I still have it. I honesty don’t know. I haven’t used in years. It’s just a shelf queen atm 🥲. I told myself I’d keep it forever tho. They’re still very relevant. I’d have to do some research. Truth is not many people throw them around like I was. They race them mostly so fixing that issue prolly wasn’t at the top of their list.
Sooo funny to watch people just send there cars out to flat ground off a ramp over and over and just beat the crap out of it
Truth is this little beast can take it! Of course it’s grass. But I think the most fun I have with RCs is sending them as hard as possible lol. Thanks for watching!
I've never bashed mine, let alone sending it off a ramp lol. I use mine strictly as a road car. I did have a crash which i didn't think was too hard but a front cvd got bent nonetheless. LC do make a beefier cvd which is chrome in color that is sold as a single instead of a pair.
The stronger dogbones are too short in front. Will come out and also chip away at the outdrive cups.
@@RedRoxRc you have to stick o rings in the diff outdrives. I have been running mine like this for over a year now.

Hey do you know do wltoys 144001 rear hubs fit with stock bearings? They Are easyer to get to me Because it takes 3 days and original ones 2 months

@@fran.6496 there’s some good reviews on the cars put against each other. I don’t know if they go over the info you’re looking for. I do know some stuff works but not sure what. Sorry I couldn’t help more.
No the Wl Toys uses a smaller bearing.

@@RedRoxRcwow, never knew they made stuff for smaller brands! Yeah very unfortunate. The best option right now for the wltoys/LC racing is the LC MT bumper or maybe the short course one, both not quite as good as the tbone I’m sure

ASC21517 is the part number. I don’t think the overall length is listed when you look them up. But hopefully that helps.
Have you tried the cvds in the rear? My diff-cups are pretty chewed up tempted to try this in the front and move the cvds to the back.
The stock cvds anywhere aren’t good and bend easy. The stronger thicker dogbones work great in the rear but are too short for the front. I didn’t get to bash it hard yet on the new mod. Got to wait on warmer weather 😭
@@RedRoxRc yeah, I know they are weaker but I'm not convinced the rear axels are taking much abuse. I only managed to bend a front one wedging the wheel under a car tyre at speed. Pretty much exactly the same damage as the break you posted the other day.

@@RedRoxRc The dog bones fit in the front the brushed Tacons come with dog bones all around, you need to stick an oring or some nitro fuel line inside the diff cups.

Hm, today mine arrived and it seems better, rear is think dogbone and on front it is Light Grey cvds that are bit thicker lol, they Are looking super heavy duty and nothing like your 🤷♂️

Great to see another LC truggy being used for bashing. Were the arms stock or the HD arms?
Pretty sure stock still. Don’t remember ever breaking an arm. I have the HD arms ready though. And yes I love bashing this thing lol. It’s amazing! Thanks for watching!
@@RedRoxRc I bashed mine properly for the first time last week, before that I was a little unsold on the truggy as my slipper clutch was slipping too much and I stuck to my 144001. After bashing the LC at the skate park last week I'm totally sold on it, it's just awesome, so awesome that I bought another to use for track sessions. 🙂🙈

How are this cvds holding up? Are they worth it? :) They're pretty expensive, don't wanna buy if they'll just end up like the LC Racing ones hehe
I agree. My one test didn’t last long it broke and arm and bent the pin but the cvd didn’t bend at all but was only a couple of jumps. I need to test it a lot more before we know for sure so hopefully soon I can take it back out. It’s ready! Tuned shocks and everything!

@ yes they bend fairly easy. I know they’re not meant to jump like that but even normal driving around will bend them too. I hope this mod holds up! They seem a lot stronger.
@@RedRoxRc yeah, mine are bent too, that's why I'm looking to upgrade them. What about the other CNC Aluminium parts from LC Racing, do you think they're worth it? You the spindles, rear hub, bellcrank, hex set, etc.

Yes I know. But I’ve gone through lots of stock sets now. As soon as the weather is warmer I want to take it out and durability test it.
No, you get two cvd (one pair) for that price.
Those cvds associated will break bend the shatter order new ones now i striped and sold team associated crapy metal parts i put lc raceing driveshafts to. Upgrade my team associated car lolololol dont bother with those crap metal driveshafts
