  • Hi folks!
    Winter is coming so I decided to try some indoor racing. 1/10 scale competition rigs are quite expensive, even if you aim for second-hand model. Fortunately 1/14 scale is growing in popularity. For c. 250 bucks you can have a competition-level model and start racing.
    And this is how I get my LC Racing EMB-1 Buggy.
    All necessary parts are aluminium, the quality is high and fun from building and racing is AWESOME!
    The first experience was gained last weekend during Xray Racing Series in Poland. Racing is much more difficult than it looks on RUclips ;) I was stunned by the durability of my tiny buggy. I didn't break a single part although I had abused the car quite a lot (way too many noobie mistakes during the trainings ;) ). What is more, during the 3 days of racing none of LC Racing models broke! How cool is that?!

    I bought rtr truggy for Christmas. Wish I got the kit version. Putting together from pieces to race vehicle is amazing, also much easier & faster to disassemble and maintain! Love the paint job.

    Lc racing is great stuff. I especially love that their diffs are good quality metal and dont destroy themselves unlike all the other minis out there. The electros and chassis and suspension are superb too, all around a great vehicle at a good price

      It would be great if the diffs did not leak, I need to refill the oil after each couple runs.

    Great video. Could you tell me the size of the Tenshock motor you used? Does it have a 29 diameter?

    • @RCBONK
      @RCBONK  3 года назад

      I cannot mesure this, as I have already sold the car. But the engine was Tenshock 4850KV (L6149). I hope this info is sufficient

    Thanks for the great video! How is the buggy holding up so far? I just ordered the kit version that includes the esc and brushless motor as my 6 year olds second rc car and first kit for him and I to build together. I also ordered an extra set of a arms and a spindle kit just in case. I wanted to have a few items on hand just in case and those were among the first to fail on my daughters mini 8. This little car seems to have quite good reviews, so I am excited for him to get it. Thanks again for the video, maybe we’ll do one as well.

      I have just finished maintenance of my tiny buggy for the next competition :) I am quite happy with the durability and quality of this small rig :) you are going to be satisfied for sure! :)

      RC BONK thanks for the reply! Ours came in the mail the other day, and although it’s a Christmas present for my little boy I couldn’t help but open it up to check out what’s included! After checking it out, too me, if this was a 1/10 scale car, you’d be looking at a $500 kit, whats included for under $200 is amazing! I am thinking of ordering a second one so Santa can give me one too lol

    • @RCBONK
      @RCBONK  4 года назад +1

      @@treystoys You should definitely write a letter to Santa! ;) Indeed, I think the price/quality ratio is awesome in LC Racing. I run in on the carpet tracks only, as due to the small size, it is very difficult to handle in on dirt tracks. You should check out the diffs on a regular basis as they are leaking a little. The front diff cups are wearing out quite fast as well. Let me know once you have an opportunity to race it!

      Hey man! It will be difficult because the shop I purchased the combo no longer exists :( The ESC was Hobbywing QUICRUN 16BL30 and motor was Tenshock 4850KV (L6149). Cheers!

      Yes, those are both LC Racing buggies. I like the the old style body better but the quality is the same. You can fit the ESC in both.

      -Motor: LC RACING L6048 6,5T 4500kV
      -ESC: Hobbywing 30A QUICRUN 16BL30
      I hope this is helpful :)

      Thanks for your feedback. I bought a brushed one and I am trying to convert it to brushless & all the metal parts. Please I want to put a slipper clutch but I don’t know if I have to change the central shaft. Thanks for your help.

    • @RCBONK
      @RCBONK  4 года назад

      @@MA-bq8yg I do not recommend going all metal. I have almost all plastic parts in my buggy and this provided good durability. In the long run, metal parts will be the cause of numerous problems (it will get loose and once you hit something more damage will be generated). Why do you want to go all metal anyway?

    • @MA-bq8yg
      @MA-bq8yg 4 года назад

      Thanks you very much for your advice. Since I bought a brushed one and the chassis is plastic. So I really want to upgrade. For sure you are right as I have watched so many videos for this car and didn’t even come across with one of metal. And I have nearly ordered everything in metal and I can’t cancel my order 🥺🥺🥺

      Hi! I have sold it as I have turned into 1:10 and 1:8 scale. I did not find any solution apart from regular maintenance. A friend of mine tried to seal this up with silicone but it is messy once you want to exchange the oil.
