    You actually made me want to put decals on my Gunpla now, cuz before this, I thought it'll be kinda hard and need some efforts, but turns out pretty easy. Question tho, is it really necessary to use a decal solution or no?

    • @arised_death
      @arised_death  5 месяцев назад

      nope it's definitely not fully necessary, it's just one of those things that's nice to have for waterslide decals that are not laying flat or need to bend across an angle or curved surface. I went over the benefits and my uses for the decal solution in my more in depth waterslide decal tutorial vid here in case you wanted to see how I utilize it ( ruclips.net/video/KjkdYg3DF6U/видео.htmlsi=A-Ebvls2moyfpt6 )

    Do you think Mark setter is necessary for water slides?

    • @arised_death
      @arised_death  21 день назад +1

      @daltonparker7792 it's not fully necessary but it is nice to have when a decal isn't laying flat or placing a decal on a curved/angled surface. I'll often apply all my decals and then next day if any have corners lifting, I'll go back and touch them up with the Mark Fit Strong solution but I do use it while applying decals initially too in certain situations

    If you ever decide buy g-rework decals make sure to soak em at least 2 mins.

    • @arised_death
      @arised_death  8 месяцев назад

      the decals in this video are G-Rework, hard to tell but the video is sped up in the beggining when the decal is put in water. it's all one take but sped up to make the video shorter. as for time in water, size and brand of the waterslide decals are contributing factors. Also I've noticed that blue waterslide decal sheets usually need to be soaked longer than waterslide decals on white sheets but of course this can also vary from brand to brand

    • @streaky8844
      @streaky8844 8 месяцев назад

      @@arised_death also delpi decals require less time to soak for it to come loose. have not tried bandai tho

    • @arised_death
      @arised_death  8 месяцев назад +1

      @streaky8844 honestly Bandai official waterslides are my least favorite but they do look really nice when you get them to stick and not wrinkle. I find myself using Mark Fit more with Bandai decals. My preference so far is G-Rework then Delpi and last Bandai ws decals

    • @arised_death
      @arised_death  11 месяцев назад

      what kit are they from? are they on a type of clear plastic sheet? you may have a dry transfer decal sheet. some premium bandai kits include water slide decals but majority of the time water slide decals are sold separately or made by a 3rd party company such as G-Rework or Delpi Decal

      @gyancarlogonzales3068 I would say so, I've had a few kits I didn't put a clear top coat on that I've used mark fit for touching up decals that lifted in corners over time or were kits I did before I ended up buying the decal solution to make them lay flat or 're-apply'

    • @arised_death
      @arised_death  6 месяцев назад

      it's not always necessary to use the markfit decal softener, I use it when I can't get a waterslide decal to lay flat completely or when it dries and flakes up around the edges later on. It mainly helps with waterslide decal adhesion

    • @eljrzy1513
      @eljrzy1513 6 месяцев назад

      @@arised_death what do you use to make them stay on place? mine after drying ,some of them fall off

    • @arised_death
      @arised_death  6 месяцев назад +1

      @eljrzy1513 that is a scenario where I would use markfit solution, although sometimes decals can become a lost cause. I would make sure to dry up as much water around the decal as you can before letting it sit on your first attempt of applying it, if its floating in water on the spot you're applying the decal it may not stick well. If the decal isn't staying or has fallen off, you can dab the brush from a markfit bottle on the decal where you want to place it and press it flat/roll it across with a q-tip to secure its position

      it really depends on the brand of waterslide decals you're using and the size of the decal. typically Bandai/Delpi decals will need to soak longer than G-Rework. can also depend on the temp of the water your using, warmer water will usually require less time but isn't always the case. I think the time frame given in my video is quite accurate from my experience doing several waterslide sets for gundam model kits
