I mentioned this in your previous video and chances are it's because of a setting called auto exposure in unreal engine. Depending on where the camera is looking and how the lumens are set(or whatever way their light source operates) will determine the exposure rate that the camera should be at. This causes unnecessary darkening and can get really effin annoying. Especially with indie developers I guarantee they either don't understand the auto exposure setting or they just don't understand how to work with lighting in general. It's no easy task setting up the lighting for an environment. So many different variables. One is post process volume... Depending on how the properties of the "volume" of the space can determine if light is scattered, dim, exposed automatically etc. It's crazy ridiculous and needs a whole lesson plan on its own on how to work with lighting.
I digress, sorta. They just f***** up their programming for the slider which probably caused it to start dark as f*** All I said though is true though for UE
