What about Eightball's Bomb Shop? It's only noticed when you drive into it to try to avoid the taxis during #Cabmageddon. Seems strange it was never needed for a mission or mentioned, as it uses unique coding which must've taken up resources. I suppose you can use a car bomb on some missions, if you want to though.

The Censored copy’s of the game makes the game so confusing as everyone says “we need to take them out” but take who out???

What's the point of censoring the game if the uncensored versions are already out and anyone can get them and already did, there are even beta versions of the games, the hot coffee in san andreas which was supposed to be a minigame but got removed in the final version, someone still found the code and used it to make the hot coffee mod, everyone knows.

It seems like this Shame on You show did nothing to really "shame" rockstar but only temporary for PR sake. I never even played the "Haitian friendly version" nor ever heard of this TV show. I bought vice city multiple times before steam and NEVER witnessed this version. It just goes to show that shitty TV show died an obscure death with no lasting impact on society

Vice City 3.0 was the version where Avery Carrington had an actual stroke mid cutscene. He goes completely silent for like ten seconds while his animation plays out.

Imagine if it was set around taking his empire down or something, it could lead to a great story. With the technology today we could still have character swapping and could handle a bigger and better map. Plus imagine the stories, there could be different gangs to take down and some new shit added and some stuff from the beta that was removed oh mah lord I wouldn't have a life. gta vc was my first game I remember having and I still have it lol. But the game being remade would be perfect.

I think it was because you were actively encouraged by the game to kill out haitians. Now, you're encouraged to kill some random gang members. Which is still stupid, because it's just a damn game, it's not like you're encouraged to kill people or steal cars either, and besides.. We already know that those particular haitians that Tommy is to kill are gang members, it's not like the game is encouraging violence against ANY haitian, it's just how they identify that gang easier, by saying they're haitians. Well the way people justify this, is they simply fear those who might not understand the concept of art and entertainment in general, that it's actual purpose would simply be to mimic reality in a safe environment, so that people get a taste of how real life is, and they don't have to risk anything, even if that experience is in a hostile environment. That's the point of art and entertainment, but people simply fear that OTHERS might not understand this. Which is really an irrational fear, since no sane person would logically follow what they see in games or in movies and replicate it in real life. Maybe little kids, but that too is very unlikely, they realize from a young age the difference between real life and a game.

Seawolf Gaming Honestly, I feel there was no need to censor it altogether. It's not like Rockstar was trying to offend the races they basically parody in the game, in fact I'd say it's one of many ways you can actually make racism funny sort of.
Still the greatest game in the series, if not the greatest game ever made. Of course I also loved SA with the huge map and the tons of things to do, but nothing beats the story and overall epic feeling of Vice City.
San Andreas >
Everyone has a different taste, and i have to somewhat agree with him. When GTA V released, i rushed through the story in a few days, maybe a week, so it had to be some kind of good. But when you're done... i've never played it a 2nd time. Unlike all other GTA's, i didn't feel the need to. Story wasn't as good as the others aswell, IMO.

Vice City was the true 4th instalment of the game, and blew away GTA 3. Better characters, story and a fantastic soundtrack.

I found out about GTA III and Vice City in 2009, then Liberty City Stories, San Andreas and Vice City Stories. I play them over and over again. Of course, I'm hooked on the radio stations. I hope they re-release these games with the missing missions so you know i REALLY like these videos. I'd like to see a video game that shows Sal when he was young with father of Toni Cipriani. It would show how Salvatore Leone rose to power and show years between each of the game up to or beyond GTA III. I'd like them to include the same actors to reprise their roles or (they radio DJs) make new ones. ARE YOU LISTENING, ROCK STAR ?! You know die hard fans would love this. And people who are playing 'today's games' that, when you mention the GTA games, say, "Whoa !! Yeah, I used to play those ! Wonderful memories !" Would want to see this.

I loved this video. I'm currently just 1 trophy away from Platinum on PS4. Already got Platinum with GTA III so then I'll move on to San Andreas.
Anyway, having an inside look at development of my favorite games is cool. Visual changes are nice but story changes are cool too. I'd like to think if back then DLC and updates was a thing for consoles, we would have seen unfinished content later added after possibly doing a few adjustments. Then again III, VC and SA released very quickly one after the other. Spending time and resources on DLC probably would have delayed the games and maybe even rendered one of them useless since VC could have been an expansion for III.

The only thing I didn't like about GTA Vice City is the limited in game dialogue while on mission unlike GTA San Andreas and future games where almost every mission has long conversations with characters while driving to the destination.

R* made a GTASA remaster for X360. And we can consider the GTAVC iPhone/Android a remaster too, add some minor but impressive things.

+Jason Corleone There is.... it's called the Vice Cry mod for the PC version of the game. Combine that with a fix for widescreen resolutions, and disable the frame limiter and cap the framerate at 60 FPS with external software, it's 10 times better than any remaster Rockstar could put out. :)

Literarly all my friends and every kid I know at some point played gta games even at the age of 11-12. None of us,not one turned out to be violent. No way video games make kids violent...

I still have my original copy too, but I also bought the trilogy for ps4 and man, it is horrible! All those edits not to mention they removed all Michael Jackson, Ozzy songs due to licenses expiring, but I can always go back to my ps2 which still works to this day and play it 😊
Edit: I forgot to mention that the new versions do this glitchy thing where when you aim to shoot at someone, Tommy aims at friggin LIGHTPOLES it’s retarded
This game is my favorite of all the GTA series! The 80's, the colorful city, Tommy's voice, the Easter Eggs and details around the city makes it feel so alive!
Not only that, the game also took an important part in my personal life.
That apartment/safe house in Ocean Beach bears a lot of similarities to the one in Scarface (Which the real building in the movie was located on Ocean Drive), during the scene where Tony and his colleagues are ambushed with a chainsaw. Maybe copyright issues are why it was pulled from the game?
This game will forever be iconic, I was 11 when this game was as out and I asked for it for Christmas, I remember staying up ALL NIGHT LONG (no pun intended) waiting for “Santa” to drop it off under the tree, sure enough it was there, immediately unpacked it and played it on PS2, I am super lucky to have experienced that, it was so much fun without all those edits!

It’s sad that the game did not feature some of the cut content in the final product. If the majority of the cut content stayed with the final product, the game itself could have been as big as GTA San Andreas when it came to content and story.

The police vehicles were initially based on the Miami Beach Police Department livery. Since Miami Beach is a smaller community, I presume they just chose not to use it. The revised vehicle liveries resemble the Miami Dade Police and since MDPD is the largest law enforcement agency in South Florida, and the Department which Tubbs and Crockett worked for in Miami Vice, the changes made perfect sense.

That moment in San Andreas where if you were to go throw a tear gas at someone when their health is low or dropping your sprunk can on them by having your hand on their body while your holding it, and then they will fell down. Then you when do that, you hear a loud snap noise when they die, like their spine snapped.
And sometimes they say: "OW!"

The Steam version isn't censored? That's awesome to hear. I assumed it was going to be a port of the later censored version. I have VC on Steam, but haven't played through it yet (I played through it countless times back on the PS2 and original XBox, of course).

It's weird that it didn't carry over remasters and shit, clearly it was made in a hurry to save themselves some controversy at the time (it's really not a smooth editing job) but usually these sort of changes tend to stick but I guess that no one really cared about it after the controversy period.

I like VC alot more than san andreas though san andreas isn't as good as vc in vc it's like a vactation in san andreas it's like gangs fighting I can't even explore the whole map I know in vc you need to complete some missions but it ain't as hard and long as san andreas.

rockstar didn't make mistake , sales are more important than the content and if they can prevent backlash they will censor it
Watch a video about San Andreas censorship in Japan you'll understand , they don't want to lose on a potential market because they were too stubborn to change a bit of script
That makes no sense because by the time the Cubans and Haitians were censored, Vice City had already sold millions of copies on the PS2, PC and Xbox.
