Exactly. GTA V never had achieved the atmosphere and feeling like GTA IV did, but it wasn't supposed to have this anyway, I guess. I liked GTA IVs story much better since you really feel like you are just a little fish in a big city. In GTA San Andreas you felt like a true "gangster", while GTA V is just "over the top" in my opinion. Don't even get me started on GTA V's multiplayer, it turned into a Saints Row rather than a GTA.

Gta 5 is really good too but it does not feel like IV it is more cartoony and more colorful and less unrealistic. Gta IV has a dark and gritty feeling whilst gta V has a colorful and active feeling. Both games are good in their own way

I remember when I first got GTA 4. My parents got me it for my birthday. What I remember though, was when I had school the day after. I woke up extra early that day to play it for a while before school. All day I couldn’t wait to get home and play more. I rushed back home that day and immediately went on to play. Good times.

GTA IV was my first experience with the series and it holds a special place in my heart. The unique style, expansive world, and intriguing story and lore offered a great experience like no other.
GTA IV has a better story than GTA V, in my opinion. The city felt more alive, with indoor buildings and interaction with pedestrians. There were many details such as picking things on the streets and throwing on others, buying hotdogs from stands to recover your health, etc.. The subway made sense. Man, one time I called the cops and they (not knowing) helped me getting rid of some enemies. Calling a number to identify who is the target.. And, again, the story.. A more charismatic character who you could feel sorry for and all.. Not to mention the 2 DLCs that were awesome.. Not this same-thing that you need to do all on GTA Online. I liked San Andreas and I believe almost every single GTA had its role in the evolution of the series (and I follow it since the first one) but GTA IV holds a very special place in my heart.
My voice is in this game somewhere! I was working as a hair washer in NYC in the lower east side in 2007 and one of our clients was the casting director for Rockstar. She asked me if I'd like to be in the game and I was like, "uhhh, yeah!" The character that I ended up speaking for was called a "vain gym bunny." The script was divided in two sides- the left were actions the player could do to me and the right side were my vocal reactions. Really cool experience! And I love this game. Anyone know if there's a gym somewhere in the game or if you think you've run into my character?

Unfortunately there are no gyms in the game. You don't need to progress in the game, you can find these "Gym Guy" pedestrians jogging and practicing Tai Chi in Middle Park (Central Park) or Outlook Park (Brooklyn's Prospect Park). They usually wear black and yellow tracksuits.

The biggest loss in GTA 4 for me was definitely the snow, it's fits perfectly to gta 4 atmosphere, story, niko and anything else, i didn't liked the night time in gta 4 tbh, it's really bland , but a snowing liberty city otherwise would be as cool as a cyberpunk-neon distopia

Very detailed and well put together video. Really enjoyed hearing the unused dialogue, especially Vlad's ranting haha. Snow would have been bloody incredible 🥰 GTAIV will forever be my all to,e favourite GTA game. It's so rich, and with dark depths. The silenced pistol and flamethrower would have added quite a lot of cool and savage gameplay elements. Heck, they could have even had a stealth mechanic reminiscent of Manhunt where the white icon transitions to a sort of dark blue one 😉 Tow truck would be great. Cops with nightsticks would have been cool, and the unused dialogue with it is wicked funny, the vomit dialogue too 😆 😅😂
I remember when this game came out ended up missing school the next day. I didn't even lie to my mom, I just told her I wanted to play the new game I got. Coolest thing she ever let me do. All these years later I've bought the game about 3 times now. Im about to launch it up on my PC and re-live those memories! Life is good.

I love GTA IV the most in the series, but God damn, knowing just how much more stuff was planned, but then later scrapped really bums me out. Leave it to Rockstar to come up with amazing ideas to really make a game shine, then throw all of them in the garbage.
This game was the biggest shock to my system in my entire life so far, it was my first next gen game and the absolute shock of the graphics and the physics... Its still incredible to play to this day. Ill never forget the first time i saw someone grab on to the door handleof my car and get dynamically dragged with realistic reactions like them trying to run but losing their footing and stumbling ... Just incredible.

Some songs were removed because it had lost the contract *something about copyright and that kind of stuff* that rockstar and the "owner" of the songs had dealt with.. and rockstar didn't think that to "extend" the contract will be a good thing .. instead, they replaced those with the new songs...
Knowing what rockstar has become, it’s unlikely. If they are too cheap to renew licenses for the radio music I doubt they will spend a cent remastering the game

It surely aged a lot better than the 3D era games. 12 years later it looks similar enough to 5, especially the cars which are sometimes the same imported straight from 4. On the PS3/X360 versions of 5, some cars even still had a map of Liberty City on their GPS in the interior, which were obviously reworked for the first person mode later on. From San Andreas on, the 3D era graphics sucked big time and that justified a remaster, but that's not the case with 4. Also, the thing is with GTA 5 for example, basically the most up to date version is the PC one, and it will be updated again when the PS5 will come out. In that sense, I guess we've had the remastered version of 4 all along, and it's the PC version with the graphics settings maxed out.

I miss IV, yea I still have it for PS3 along with the dlcs, but I miss the online and freeroaming and messing around. There was no economy, or money system. I used to play the tbogt MP for hours, parachuting and stealing police stingers, and more. It was a very relaxing experience. Thanks for another great video by the way.
I remember when gta IV was going to be released in stores, I was 13, my mom took a later shift, called me in sick to school and took me to the gamestop in town right when they opened for the day and got me the game. After a year of hyping it up and looking foward to it for so long, this game will forever have a special place in my heart and I still remember that day vividly almost 17 years later.
_San Andeas_ is overrated and while _IV_ was a good step up from _SA_ in terms of story, it was too dark to be a _GTA_ game. _Vice City_ is more of the masterpiece to be honest. And I'm with the other guy who pointed it out. _SA_ and _IV_ are the same game? XD

GTA IV was my first experience with the series and it holds a special place in my heart. The unique style, expansive world, and intriguing story and lore offered a great experience like no other.

After playing GTA 4 again after watching this, the unused dialogue from the laundry mat owner gets used if you fail that mission and have to replay it
Yeah that isn't cut dialogue, it's alternate dialogue.
GTA IV has a better story than GTA V, in my opinion. The city felt more alive, with indoor buildings and interaction with pedestrians.
There were many details such as picking things on the streets and throwing on others, buying hotdogs from stands to recover your health, etc.. The subway made sense.
Man, one time I called the cops and they (not knowing) helped me getting rid of some enemies. Calling a number to identify who is the target..
And, again, the story.. A more charismatic character who you could feel sorry for and all.. Not to mention the 2 DLCs that were awesome.. Not this same-thing that you need to do all on GTA Online.
I liked San Andreas and I believe almost every single GTA had its role in the evolution of the series (and I follow it since the first one) but GTA IV holds a very special place in my heart.

GTA V was shit from a story POV. It was just childish and boring.
My voice is in this game somewhere! I was working as a hair washer in NYC in the lower east side in 2007 and one of our clients was the casting director for Rockstar. She asked me if I'd like to be in the game and I was like, "uhhh, yeah!" The character that I ended up speaking for was called a "vain gym bunny." The script was divided in two sides- the left were actions the player could do to me and the right side were my vocal reactions. Really cool experience! And I love this game. Anyone know if there's a gym somewhere in the game or if you think you've run into my character?

Unfortunately there are no gyms in the game. You don't need to progress in the game, you can find these "Gym Guy" pedestrians jogging and practicing Tai Chi in Middle Park (Central Park) or Outlook Park (Brooklyn's Prospect Park). They usually wear black and yellow tracksuits.

The biggest loss in GTA 4 for me was definitely the snow, it's fits perfectly to gta 4 atmosphere, story, niko and anything else, i didn't liked the night time in gta 4 tbh, it's really bland , but a snowing liberty city otherwise would be as cool as a cyberpunk-neon distopia

GTAIV will forever be my all to,e favourite GTA game. It's so rich, and with dark depths. The silenced pistol and flamethrower would have added quite a lot of cool and savage gameplay elements. Heck, they could have even had a stealth mechanic reminiscent of Manhunt where the white icon transitions to a sort of dark blue one 😉

I remember when this game came out ended up missing school the next day. I didn't even lie to my mom, I just told her I wanted to play the new game I got. Coolest thing she ever let me do. All these years later I've bought the game about 3 times now. Im about to launch it up on my PC and re-live those memories! Life is good.

This game was the biggest shock to my system in my entire life so far, it was my first next gen game and the absolute shock of the graphics and the physics... Its still incredible to play to this day. Ill never forget the first time i saw someone grab on to the door handleof my car and get dynamically dragged with realistic reactions like them trying to run but losing their footing and stumbling ... Just incredible.

Some songs were removed because it had lost the contract *something about copyright and that kind of stuff* that rockstar and the "owner" of the songs had dealt with.. and rockstar didn't think that to "extend" the contract will be a good thing .. instead, they replaced those with the new songs...

It surely aged a lot better than the 3D era games. 12 years later it looks similar enough to 5, especially the cars which are sometimes the same imported straight from 4. On the PS3/X360 versions of 5, some cars even still had a map of Liberty City on their GPS in the interior, which were obviously reworked for the first person mode later on. From San Andreas on, the 3D era graphics sucked big time and that justified a remaster, but that's not the case with 4. Also, the thing is with GTA 5 for example, basically the most up to date version is the PC one, and it will be updated again when the PS5 will come out. In that sense, I guess we've had the remastered version of 4 all along, and it's the PC version with the graphics settings maxed out.

I miss IV, yea I still have it for PS3 along with the dlcs, but I miss the online and freeroaming and messing around. There was no economy, or money system. I used to play the tbogt MP for hours, parachuting and stealing police stingers, and more. It was a very relaxing experience. Thanks for another great video by the way.
I remember when gta IV was going to be released in stores, I was 13, my mom took a later shift, called me in sick to school and took me to the gamestop in town right when they opened for the day and got me the game.
After a year of hyping it up and looking foward to it for so long, this game will forever have a special place in my heart and I still remember that day vividly almost 17 years later.
