An excellent job and thank you. Just FYI ….. some times Live (unlike the studio version) the Cramps had no rhythm guitar player. So the opening intro and rhythm parts are played by a bass player. Other times they had no bass player live. This song is epic.

You got goood taste Adrian. Saw the Cramps live four times in the early 80s and they became my favourite band. I love the music you have chosen to teach and your lessons are very well done. This is however, not a Cramps song. The majority of songs the Cramps did were old obscure 50s songs, but they did make this their own as its much more rock n roll than the original by Ronnie Cook

I think you are right about the open tuning. It sounds that way on the recording, yes. But I also read that Kid got turned on to using open tunings in the late 1970s and applied it to many songs thereafter. And so a natural for this one, from Psychedelic Jungle, 1981.

I have seen The Cramps 8 times & always a blast. Not sure if the song was never played live with the bass player switching to a rhythm guitar .........too busy in the pit having fun :) Definitely was not an extra rhythm guitar player on stage outside of the 4 piece band. Perhaps the bass just kept the basic rhythm guitar section notes while Poison Ivy worked her magic alternating between both rhythm & lead picking sections.
