Thank you for posting this! I was not successful with dongles but your video led me to purchase a Plugable USB 3.0 & USB-C Dual Display Port or HDMI Display Docking Station... Paired with DisplayLink Manager 1.5.0 and I was successful. Dongles range between $85-125 each and the dock was under $200.. Now I can use one dock for both my home and work computers! Honestly a life saver!!!

No other video I've come across explains this so simply. To think I was just about to spend about £200 on a hub with ten inputs that I didn't need.

Thanks for the tip. I have now two 4K monitors connected to my MacBook Pro M1. The displaylink adapter allows me to reach only 1920x1080 (60Hz) with HiDPI, higher resolution (3840x2160) is reachable but without HiDPI (retina quality). Anyway, I find your video instructive.

Thank you! My company issued new Macbooks that no longer supported dual monitors so was disappointed I'd be losing my second display. This solved the issue in a couple easy steps! $75 for the plugable on Amazon and I was back in business. It was almost too easy..

Works beautifully! I have a 6 years old Kensington USB 3.0 Dual Display Docking Station for Windows, Mac OS, Surface Pro/Laptop/Book (K33972US) that supports DisplayLink. I watched your RUclips, downloaded the driver and did all the steps you mentioned and the dual monitor screens worked perfectly for my 2020 M1 MacBook Pro. Installing the DisplayLink driver is the key here + setting up the screen recording under Privacy tab. Apple support mentioned about buying 3rd party docking station which would cost me around $200+. You just saved me from this unnecessary spending. Thank you again Degan!!

Now I have 3 monitors connected to my iMac (totally 4) and all playing...! Thx Degan...!!!! a million thx!!!!!
