I think it's based on the prerequisite that Kinmen is under PLA's control and is used as the frontmost base to prep for invasion, and at that point Taiwan is under military curfew and the ROC army is preparing to counter-offence. Thank you for posting the video. I am not a military expert and also not interested in discussing political issue here. The IFV PTL02 in the video is not exactly suitable for this conflict, the PLA has already better IFVs to replace the PTL02 and better suited for the conflict. Another thing the PLA amphibious force probably will not land the ZTZ 96 or 99 on the first assault. In their first landing assault, They would use more amphibious IFVs with rifled gun that able to shoot anti tank , ATGMs and HEAT & HE as well. IF later PLA does land its MBTs most likely after the they secure the landing site just like VE day allied landing on occupied France in WW2. The MBTs they will use probably like the ZTZ 96 or its improved version and its light armored tanks. The ROCA armored forces also would not want to show or put their ageing M60 TTS on plain sight... as their turrets , upper lower and lower glacis would not be able to with stand the projectiles from the ZTZs or the PLA IFVs... so the ROCA armoury forces has to hide and ambush to attack their flanks if they have to face off with ZTZs ... with PLA IFVs then the ROCA tanks has to shoot first before them... same thing with ROCA CM11 tanks despite the reactive armour , their turret rings are like onions ring, one shot hit the turret ring, those active armour on turrets are just useless... Most likely PLA does the heavy airstrikes first to render all the airfield , NAVY Ports , Docks and power plant damaged enough so that the PLA can establish the beach head safely. The video also does not cover the attacks on the eastern coast line of Taiwan that faces the Pacific Ocean which has plenty of military installations. Another point , also the video is missing the participation ot Taiwan allies as well... Most likely PLAN will make sure JPN self defence ( so called) navy and airforce neutalized among all the allies because they are the first to respond in any event. Taiwan doesn't own anything. They're stupidly trying to claim everything instead of just going independent.
I think it's based on the prerequisite that Kinmen is under PLA's control and is used as the frontmost base to prep for invasion, and at that point Taiwan is under military curfew and the ROC army is preparing to counter-offence. That's why the streets are empty with only military vehicles presence.
Kinmen is ruled under Fujian province of ROC. Different province from Taiwan in either ROC or PRC.

The most common modern warfare tactic is sending in cruise missiles from submarine, ships hell even from mainland, China has the capacity to do so. They will neutralize every possible defense line and threat to a landing, secure a safe zone for Y-20s to land and deliver tanks… this situation would be the most probable coming from former NAVY

there's no defensive position like that on the beachhead during the landing. All site of defensive will be obliterated by cruise missile or bombing part. War, in reality it's not same like these depictions. we can see the example at Ukraine and Russia.
Chinese forces attempting to cross the strait would come under fire from jets launched from U.S. assets in Japan and the Philippines, more majorly American B-52s and other strategic bombers in Guam and Hawaii would likely launch a crippling counterattack with cruise missiles. I don’t think China would attempt an invasion early on, I imagine it’d be weeks of protracted fighting in the air above Taiwan with huge casualties to china who has no experience in this sort of operation. Until China exhausts themselves fighting a coalition of nations (likely the US and Japan) springing to the defense of Taiwan and eventually looks for a ceasefire (similar to the other Taiwan strait crises)
This is assuming the US doesn’t just leave Taiwan to die and in doing so sentence it’s geopolitical strategy in the East to death too

搶灘作戰根本不會這麼好打，當初盟軍100萬vs60萬的諾曼第都差點失敗，更何況那是1945年，美國二戰都放棄選台灣登當陸地。俄烏戰爭一馬平川的平原俄羅斯都攻不下基輔了，那對台是根本地獄難度
先撇開攻台並占台的效益和帶來的代價與雙方盟友關係與考慮到日本的經濟、亞洲航運、美軍日軍參戰的可能。首先要在適合的時間進攻，在金門與馬祖可以先反擊一波，效益可能不大，但至少能削弱解放軍，過了之後還有澎湖也可以攔截，剛好就在海峽中間和相對台灣島中間。制海權要玩還挺辛苦，真對可以登陸的地方進行登陸戰攔截，空軍對幹射船，只要運兵的船沒有太大反擊能力，基本就是活靶子，而航空母艦想單然是不能能露面的，但是你要藏哪，中國旁邊除了北韓俄羅斯巴基斯坦相對有好之外，其他國家都可以共享情報，匯報給台軍，我們的飛彈導彈都可以進行反制，而中國這些友好國也派不上用場。全台可以登陸點16個，1個在墾丁，5個分別在台東1個花蓮3個宜蘭1個，這6點不用想，地形優勢和實際效益就擺在那，東部除宜蘭要貫山之外，海岸山脈+中央山脈+幾乎垂直的山壁與西部完全阻隔，就算攻破要怎麼到西部也是個問題，雪隧一炸，蘇花、東部沿海公路、南迴、台1台26、台9一守，想都別想進來，除非你走山路，地形優勢可以直接帶你走。而前者墾丁都是礁岩要小心，然後登進去你根本不能幹嘛，沒有城市，都是觀光區，然後ㄆㄚ，登入台灣最南點，沒了。
而且全台只有高雄和台南一攻進去，就直接是城市，但那裡只有2-3個適合登陸點，而且都有軍隊駐紮，針對口子放個雷放個鐵絲網堤岸，都可以開啟屠殺，而且佔領了還要地面戰，完全沒有地利之便。
中部適合的有3-4個，而且台中的完全幹不得，消波塊和堤岸，直接封死行動，其他的也是針對防守即可。北部有6個點，也是針對防守即可，基隆佔領後又要面對山才能到台北，口子又特別小，還要小心撞上岩石，幾乎就是縮小版花蓮港，難攻易守；新北的也是一樣要跨山才能到台北，還是那句，小心岩石，那最舒服的點淡水河口相對好攻，但一樣難攻易守，但可以直導台北，到了之後又要打巷戰；桃園有兩個點一個在新北和桃園交界處這邊又是有消波塊堤岸的地方，但面對的是丘陵，又是難攻易守的地形，登陸口縮小版蘭陽平原，但北上可佔領新北，但是又邀面對丘陵南下可以到桃機，但是桃機在臺地上，幾乎就是150m的崁，在上面又是難攻易守在望下到桃園南端，進去可以到中壢看看再來就北上到桃園；最後一個點在新竹說實話這裡戰略位置是非常重要的，但早就部署好兵力了（每個地方都有），相對好打但還是一句：難攻易守，但只要佔領半個新竹，收益就非常大，可以切斷補給，但後面又是雪山，看到都覺得累，軍火庫和營隊就不知道幾個了，因為其實有很多軍火庫和彈藥庫都放在丘陵和山中，是可以撐一段時間的

Thank you for posting the video. I am not a military expert and also not interested in discussing political issue here. The IFV PTL02 in the video is not exactly suitable for this conflict, the PLA has already better IFVs to replace the PTL02 and better suited for the conflict. Another thing the PLA amphibious force probably will not land the ZTZ 96 or 99 on the first assault. In their first landing assault, They would use more amphibious IFVs with rifled gun that able to shoot anti tank , ATGMs and HEAT & HE as well. IF later PLA does land its MBTs most likely after the they secure the landing site just like VE day allied landing on occupied France in WW2. The MBTs they will use probably like the ZTZ 96 or its improved version and its light armored tanks. The ROCA armored forces also would not want to show or put their ageing M60 TTS on plain sight... as their turrets , upper lower and lower glacis would not be able to with stand the projectiles from the ZTZs or the PLA IFVs... so the ROCA armoury forces has to hide and ambush to attack their flanks if they have to face off with ZTZs ... with PLA IFVs then the ROCA tanks has to shoot first before them... same thing with ROCA CM11 tanks despite the reactive armour , their turret rings are like onions ring, one shot hit the turret ring, those active armour on turrets are just useless... Most likely PLA does the heavy airstrikes first to render all the airfield , NAVY Ports , Docks and power plant damaged enough so that the PLA can establish the beach head safely. The video also does not cover the attacks on the eastern coast line of Taiwan that faces the Pacific Ocean which has plenty of military installations. Another point , also the video is missing the participation ot Taiwan allies as well... Most likely PLAN will make sure JPN self defence ( so called) navy and airforce neutalized among all the allies because they are the first to respond in any event. Well just my 2 cents... in any case for whatever reason, nobody on any side wants this war to happen

I've got it on a paused still of the city, with a burning carrier right next to a pleasure cruise ship in the bay, and I can recognize every single skyscraper of the city I live in.
