If it is indeed true that Tony is completely moving away from long term story telling booking and only booking week to week, when he has already shifted the show to a new Japan match focus show, is the biggest indictment on Tony Khan as a dude who simply don't understand what pro wrestling on TV is about. It's like does he truly truuuuuly care about his company growing? He don't care about stopping the bleeding with his constant dropping in tv viewership and ticket sales? Dude ain't serious. As Punk said.. he's a nice guy but ain't cut out for this. Dude don't get it man. All this talent and booking these people like they are idiots. This is also why too much creative freedom for these wrestlers is not good.
I’m starting to think Tony actually do coke because the booking of Aew dynamite,has been so bad and unfocused lately.

I don’t understand how they defend this BS
Hopefully the out runners get the tag team title shot that they richly deserve especially if the prow wrestling fans are behind them they are great baby faces as far as Jesse and JD on OTS I loved that JD was reading off the comments that were negative and nonsensical it's truly what makes Off The Script as entertaining and enjoyable as it is.
The fundamental issue with doing a hostile takeover angle, is that if you don't have the whole roster coming after the people trying to take over? Then the angle immediately looks lame. The NWO reference was spot on. Danielson gets taken out, it's supposed to be a serious moment...but 75 percent of the roster just goes about their own angles anyway, so it mustn't be that serious then.
Which is why no hostile takeover angle has ever come close to being like the NWO. Bischoff portrayed it as close to a shoot as he could. It wasn't about Heels or Faces. The NWO was there to go at everyone in WCW. So it forced Heels and Faces to unite. When companies have the wrestlers just go about their business. It shows that they aren't taking the threat seriously. So why should the viewer?
This rant is why JD is the best. Always tells it like it is. No favoritism. I don't ever wanna hear anyone say JD takes sides. He's criticised and praised both companies equally. Right now AEW is struggling. Its not up for debate. WWE currently has STORY.
First of all there is no way TBS was going to show Danielson being suffocated by a plastic bag. So recap rant about that is pointless

Why is Adam Cole speaking about MJF, like the fans don't know he's a prick? Has he not watched the show before returning?
Why is BCC a re--run of The Dark Order, The Undis Kingdom, and The Elite? The same failed angle.

Shelton and Leo performed the best superkick spot since the one he did with hbk.
Shelton’s bout was a breath of fresh air from the usual choreographed bs the iwc praises.
They should have played more on the Danielson retirement angle now that it's done and over with. Tony Khan owns all of Danielson's Ring of Honor footage and they could have put together like a career retrospective package and then have Moxley and Company interrupt and assert their so-called authority. Asset management is clearly not one of Tony Khan's strong points.

I thought the episode was okay. We can't go from 1 to 100 in a single episode. If we want to nitpick, oh boy do I have things for the whole wrestling industry. For me AEW just needs to build up good consistency and coherency on the things they consider a true base to build on. Half of current complaints are because they've lacked that long term from past, and it's a baggage now. In the takeover story, I will say it outright that groups like Top Flight, Dark Order, Private Party are not the top bunch, but they were there from day 1 so for now it makes semi-sense. They just need to ramp it up further, perhaps involve the likes of Kenny, Hangman etc. gradually. We already saw a hint of it with Bucks looking confused about the whole thing. Cook it up, reveal Shane, and add the garnishing maybe with return of Danielson later. Perhaps a Sting cameo too(since Darby is is supposed to be involved and Shane has WCW takeover connection). Or something like that. I'm not a writer, but you get the idea. Make it a good mayhem. Write and execute something the next generation can talk about.

Terrifier is sort of like the modern day equivalent of the Halloween and Michael Myers series. It’s just 10 times more grotesque and horrifying.
And nowhere near as good as the original Halloween.
You want to compare the series as a whole, I put Terrifier over it. The original Halloween came out over 45 years ago. The last trilogy was a joke.

Moxley is a great measuring barometer of what type of wrestling fan you are. People who like him are AEW fans people who hate him are the old school and casual fans who watch WWE. Guess who has more people viewing their shows?

Tony Khan must watch these reviews, we know he's obsessed with social media and what people say about him.....youd think he'd use his brains and take some of JD and Jesse's ideas on board and loosely steal some....Problem is that Tony thinks his sh*t smells of roses.
TK is stubborn like VKM was at the end. Difference is at the beginning VKM wasn't stubborn like TK is. And would listen to others.

There is just too many holes in different stories they try to do. And it shouldn't be that way if you have a solid creative team that actually think things through to make sure the story makes sense and there's no holes smh. Aew has to friggin get it together man..smh. I mean c'mon..the hijinx dark order, who has become a circus sideshow since Brodie Lee died, is going to war with this renegade BCC? C'mon man...c'mon smh
The problem isn't necessarily that the stories have holes. Cause most stories have holes after a while. The issue is that AEW stories seem to have holes right off the bat. That shouldn't be the case.

TNA and WWE blows away aew with recaps before the show starts to get people tuning in up to speed on recent events that took place. It's a joke man smh. Aew has to do better than this. I mean who the heck is in creative? If guys in the creative team been in the wrestling business 20 plus years.. shame on them for being this incompetent. Makes no sense man. The constant logic holes in these storylines is unacceptable man.
Only thing I liked about Wd was the in ring debut for Shelton Benjamin that’s it. The rest of the show boring 🥱
Another drab Dynamite show tonight. Virtually non of the stories made sense AGAIN, crowd was absolutely dead AGAIN.... Wake up Tony
This was a boring show I was half asleep during the main event Tony Khan really needs to get some creative writers to help him so that AEW can go back the way it was I remember when JD and Jesse used to praise this show every week ever since AEW got started and now it's the other way around but this was a fun stream.☺️

I think if you listened to Schiavone and Excalibur talking during the Dark Order/Reynolds segment, they mentioned “Dark Order and Reynolds may not be strong enough to combat Moxley. So I think maybe Tony is planning on milking this slowly. Like over a few weeks they’ll add bigger players to this angle. You guys gotta chill out and let it play out. Mind you, I agree with everything you said. I thought it was lackluster players in a main event angle.
PS: I live in the SF Bay Area, I’ve never missed an AEW show. I didn’t buy tix.
Why are BCC not suspended for their actions? Surely TK should have came out and that should have been the first thing, then later in the night BCC come out through the crowd destroy whoever and whatever they want, TK can’t stop them so the wrestlers say they’ll step up to put the bcc in line again that’s when your Orange, Danny Garcia, Will Ospreys come to aew defence. The booking makes no sense.
They're building all this for their survivor series...
