- After leaving Taiwan, Vanessa and I flew back to Kuala Lumpur and took a bus to Batu Pahat to stay with some of Vanessa's friends and to relax after a long month and a half of cycling in Taiwan. We needed it! Before we left Batu Pahat and continued on our journey, I wanted to share with you some of the best places that we ate during our stay there.

In Taiwan there is the same peanut styles crispy pancake , it is also a traditional dessert in Taiwan.
I used to eat it when I was a child. Min Jiang Kueh is also its Taiwanese pronunciation. It’s amazing.

For the cendol part, actually it isn't brown sugar but "gula melaka" a type of sweetener made from coconut.

I've been to this town many times. My wife is from Malaysia and her sister lives in this town. There are many good restaurants around here.
traffic in towns of malaysia are quite moderate and easy to cycle around as seen in this video. i had twice cycle in kuala lumpur and i find it very easy and fun to cycle within the city despite being the capital of the country.
I live in Muar which is beside batu pahat and after a long time living here, the only thing worth checking out is the food.
My wife is from Batu Pahat.....we now in NZ.

Batu pahat, kluang, muar so clean
Cendol in malaysia is ethnic indian origin as i bought from them since i was a child. Food influence by indian (and chinese) are strong here.
Near my town, i travelled to banting town to eat cendol

So many people from either malaysia and singapore always claiming cendol is from there lol. Cendol is originally from Indonesia and if im not mistaken they have a docu series of cendol by CNA insider you can look it up haha
um… i’ve never met or seen a single singaporean who claims cendol is ours lol. we are well aware that most of our food originated from malaysia & indonesia
