Have a question about installing or designing your own Bathroom Vanity? Please let me know! You can also build this in wood or a single remnant for more savings for a unique, personalized look.

I LOVE this! Daru, would this be possible in a bathroom where there is no 2nd wall partition for the sink? In other words, I would not be able to support a floating vanity with 3 boards because it is right next to the toilet. Is this a no go for me?

Hi June, Thanks glad you like it! If you have only one side wall I would anchor the vanity like a floating vanity and focus your mounts or support brackets at the back and side. You can use steel angle brackets and secure them to your wall studs (at least 2).
I recently ordered these online for an overhang countertop I'm doing.

Your local hardware store may have something similar at a better price. It's good to hear from to from you! I hope you're able to customize something special on your own. It's nice to create something unique in your home! :)

Are you sure the middle screw is in a stud and not in a pipe?

Good question. I confirmed the stud location before hand and patched the drywall and primed afterwards. With vanities you have to be careful.

I'm in the process of looking for a house and every time I see a small bathroom I'm always wondering what I could do to make it nicer. Thank you for this amazing idea

You never cease to amaze me Daru. ❤ That’s a great idea for a bathroom vanity. One question: what did you have the countertop fabricated at?

Thanks Vincent! I've done this a few times with different fabricators. I take the measurements I need and phone marble/quartz suppliers in my area to find out who has the size and color of remnant I want at a good price. I don't have one supplier that's my go-to. The floating vanity I did in another video was also a remnant. It's a good way to save money in a bathroom remodel big or small. Great question!

@@DaruDhillon hi Daru. I’m a bit confused on the fabrication. Is this something you made with pieces or did they provide you with a remnant block that was cut from something else? I would like to create the same exact look in a very small basement bathroom. Any assistance would be helpful. Thank you!

@@GospelOutside I had a kitchen countertop made out of quartz. This was a leftover piece from the kitchen slab. Most people throw these out. I have also picked up remnants or leftovers marble and quartz from my local fabricators. The remnants start at about $100. You can do this with any leftover material. They can make it for you. It’s called a return or apron front. Thanks for the question! I love these and get lots of compliments on them.
